Functions

Before first use

In order to remove any protective substances on the heating elements, it is necessary to run the oven empty for 20 minutes. Ensure the area is well ventilated as the oven may emit vapors. These vapors are safe and are not detrimental to the performance of the oven.

  1. Remove and safely discard any packing material, promotional labels and tape from the oven.
  2. Remove the stone deck from its packaging. Gently wipe the deck with a damp cloth.
  3. Dry thoroughly and place the stone deck in the oven cavity.
  4. Wipe the interior of the oven with a soft, damp sponge.
  5. Place the oven on a flat, dry surface.
  6. Unwind the power cord completely and insert the power plug into a grounded power outlet.
  7. Turn the top and bottom dial clockwise until the indicator reaches the maximum level. Turn the dial clockwise to increase the temperature, turn the dial anti clockwise to reduce the temperature.
  8. Let the oven run for 20 minutes.
  9. The oven is now ready to use.

Operating Your Oven

Due to the extremely high temperatures being achieved, please ensure to place the oven in a well-ventilated area, as it will emit smoke when cooking.

Warning: Do not place frozen pizza with aluminum plate or any other packaging into the device. Do not cover with aluminium foil.

Do not use baking paper, non-stick dishes or silicone molds.

  1. We recommend using the infrared thermometer to ensure the stone is up to 330°C.
  2. The preheating time can vary between 20-25 minutes.
  3. After preheating turn the lower dial to 50-65% of maximum (the lower control lamp will turn off). In this way you lower the temperature of the stone, but not the camber, and use infrared thermometer for measuring the stone to 320- 330°C. With this temperature you avoid a burnt underside of the pizza.
  4. The upper dial clockwise you can keep to the maximum power, so there is more melting effect for the cheese and heating of the other topping elements.
  5. Start with small pizza with not much topping to get used to the oven. Different pizza styles need different temperatures and different cooking time.
  6. Use the pizza peel to place the pizza directly on the stone deck. You can put some semolina on the peel for the dough not to stick to the stone.
  7. Observe the pizza during cooking, it takes about 2 minutes to complete. The dough will start to be bubbling after 90 seconds. After 2 minutes, you get the leopard crust and melted toppings.
  8. You can turn the Pizza in the last 30 seconds to make sure the pizza is cooked evenly. The back of the chamber is slightly warmer.
  9. Remove your pizza and enjoy.

WARNING: Always ensure that the pizza stone is in place when the oven is on.

NOTE: When you intend to transport the product, remove the pizza stone from the oven. You can pack separately the stone for storage to avoid breakage.

NOTE: For high temperature cooking functions, we recommend you monitor and stay close to the oven as your food can quickly become overdone and eventually ignite. See Troubleshooting for more information.

WARNING: After cooking, allow the oven to cool completely before unplugging.

Care & Cleaning

Before cleaning, ensure the oven and all accessories are cool, and then remove the power plug from the power outlet.

Cleaning the outer body

  1. Wipe the outer body with a soft, damp sponge. A non-abrasive liquid cleanser or mild spray solution may be used to avoid build-up of stains. Apply the cleanser to the sponge, not the oven surface, before cleaning.
  2. Do not use an abrasive cleanser or metal scouring pad as these will scratch the oven surface.
  3. Let all surfaces dry thoroughly prior to inserting the power plug into a power outlet and turning the oven on.

WARNING

  • Do not immerse the body, power cord or power plug in water or any other liquid as this may cause electrocution.

Cleaning the stone deck

  1. In order to avoid damaging the stone deck, we highly recommend wiping the surface with a soft, damp sponge after each use.
  2. If the stone deck needs to be removed for cleaning outside of the oven, we recommend handling the stone deck with extreme care.
  3. The stone deck cannot be soaked or put in a dishwasher.
  4. We recommend the pizza stone to be stored in a dry environment. The stone absorb a lot of humidity, in case of outdoor storage make sure that you allow it to thoroughly dry before cooking the pizza.
  5. Do not put it in the refrigerator since this can cause condensation to form inside the cavity where it rests.
  6. The pizza stone should be cleaned by brush, do not wash the pizza stone with water or any chemical detergent.

Storage

  1. Pizza oven must be completely dry and cool before attempting to move or store.
  2. if you are located near the ocean or a body of salt water, protect Pizza oven by storing indoors when not in use.
  3. Use a Waterproof Grill Cover. A grill cover is a great way to protect your grill from both moisture and dust. Make sure the grill is cool before you put the cover on after using it.

If moisture is found on the bench top around the base of your product, simply wipe it dry.

Smoke is coming out of oven.| Smoke during cooking is due to the extreme high temperatures. To reduce smoke, try to limit the amount of flour/semolina used on your peel.
