Product Information

The AI-Assisted SATs–Matrix is a tool designed to assess the overall AI value in the performance of Structured Analytic Techniques (SATs). By using this matrix, users can evaluate the  of AI on SATs and provide valuable feedback to improve the assessment of AI potential.

AI-Assisted SATs—Matrix Instructions

  1. Step 1

    • Review column B. It provides specific steps for each SAT for which AI’s developing capabilities may provide value given the technology as it exists today through December 2024. A definition of each capability is provided below.
    • Enter zero to 8 capabilities per step in the corresponding column C cell. Please specify which capabilities are useful for each step. See the example below.
    • If you choose “8. Other,” specify the additional AI tools & capabilities you believe will add value.
    • Feel free to add SAT steps not already listed as well as proposed useful AI tools & capabilities in the comments.
  2. Step 2: Assess the overall AI value (high, medium, or low) in the performance of each SAT and enter “X” in the corresponding cell. Choose only one.

  3. Step 3: Justify why you chose high, medium, or low for each SAT. Enter the reason(s) for your choice in Column H. Seven possible reasons for your valuation are listed in cell H4. If you choose “other,” please elaborate in the comments.

  4. Step 4: Add any additional thoughts, insights, or questions in the comments. We want to learn from you!
