Regarding Brown Mute Wire
If you’d like to interrupt other speakers in a multi-amplifier system when using the mic, you will most likely need to use the brown mute wire from the WS-TB-MIC. The brown mute wire coming from the WS-TB-MIC is a 500mA ground output that can be used for the following applications:
-
Connected directly to a source unit with a negative mute input.
Note: Not all source units support this function. -
Wired to a relay to interrupt the remote turn-on wire to an external amp.
-
This will turn these amps off when the mic is engaged and allow the amps to turn back on after the mic is disengaged.
-
Refer to the back of the manual for the relay diagram.
