Installation

- Connect the power cord to the switch and plug it into a power outlet.
- Connect the WAN port of the switch to your internet router using an Ethernet cable.
- Connect your PC to one of the LAN ports on the switch using an Ethernet cable.
Usage
Desktop Non-PoE Switch
- Connect your internet router to the WAN port of the switch.
- Connect your PC or other non-PoE devices to one of the LAN ports on the switch.
- Note that the LAN ports can only transmit data and do not provide power to connected devices.
Desktop PoE Switch/Outdoor PoE Switch
- Connect your internet router to the WAN port of the switch.
- Connect your powered devices (PD), such as IP cameras or IP phones, to the PoE-out ports or the DC port of the switch.
- Ensure that the switch is connected to a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device through the PoE IN port to provide power for the switch and connected devices.
- Do not connect the DC port to any power source as it is a power output port.
FAQ
Can I connect non-PoE devices to the PoE ports?
- Yes, you can connect non-PoE devices to the PoE ports for data transmission only. These ports do not provide power to non-PoE devices.
What is a reverse PoE switch?
- A reverse PoE switch is a passive PoE switch that receives power from PoE-in ports and supplies power to connected devices through PoE-out ports or a DC port. It does not support DC or AC power input.
Do I need a PSE device for the PoE IN port?
- Yes, a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device needs to be connected to the PoE IN port to provide power for the switch and connected devices.

Note:
- PoE ports can also connect to non-PoE devices but only transmit data.
- A Reverse PoE switch is a passive PoE switch that gets power from PoE-in ports and supplies power to connected powered device(s) via PoE-out port(s) or DC port. DC port is a power output port, do not connect it to any power source.
- The switch with a PoE IN port does not support DC or AC power input. A PSE device needs to be connected to the PoE IN port to provide power for the switch.

For switch powered by power adapter:
- Do not use a damaged charger or USB cable to charge the device.
- Do not use any other chargers than those recommended.
- The adapter shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
For switch powered by power cord:
- Plug the product into the wall outlets with an earthing connection through the power supply cord.
- The plug on the power supply cord is used as the disconnect device, the socket-outlet shall be easily accessible.
- The socket outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible. For switch powered by USB or standard PoE:
- This equipment can be powered only by equipment that complies with Power Source Class 2 (PS2) or Limited Power Source (LPS) defined in the standard of IEC 62368-1.
