Recommended Usage

Night Before:

  • Protein :
    Choose from fish, chicken, eggs, or sushi.

  • Starch :
    Opt for small servings of complex carbohydrates such as cooked rice or sweet potato.

  • Snack :
    Have a small piece of fruit with 2-3 tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt.

  • Avoid :
    Alcohol, desserts, juices, sodas, ice cream, and caffeine.

Preparation:

  • Concentrate SFuels RACE+ to 60 grams per hour.
  • Use SFuels RACE+ drink in bike bottles and aero bar hydration system.
  • Use SFuels RACE+ Gel in SFuels bullets or soft flasks for use during the run.

Race Morning:

  • Preparation:
    Add 2 SFuels PRIMED sachets to your SFuels RACE+ in your aerobar fuel- hydration storage.

  • Breakfast:
    Choose an easy protein source with low fat, such as eggs or SFuels cereal/milk cream. You can also have an SFuels LIFE bar. Drink coffee, tea (tested in training), or water.

  • Start Primed:
    1-2 hours before the race starts, sip on a mix of 1 serving of SFuels TRAIN and 1 serving of PRIMED in a throw-away bottle.

  • Avoid:
    High-carb cereals, bread, baking, juices, candy, and gels.

During Race:

  • From T1 (transition from swim to bike):
    Start drinking from the aero-bar fuel-hydration system. Ideally, consume all PRIMED in 30 minutes on the bike.

  • Bike:
    Continue to consume 60 grams of carbohydrates per hour through the bike leg, while picking up water at aid stations.

  • Run:
    At T2 (transition from bike to run), it is suggested to consume 1 PRIMED sachet to support a strong-intensity run. Target 30-40 grams per hour of SFuels RACE+. Sip every 10 minutes, and also consume water from aid stations.
