READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE

• Know your chemical sprayer. Read and understand the operator’s manual and observe the warnings and instruction labels affixed to the tool.
• Do not operate the product in explosive atmospheres, such as In the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks that may ignite dust or fumes.
• Do not allow bystanders or children In the area while operating this product. Exposure to some chemicals can be hazardous.
• This product is suitable for Indoor and outdoor use.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating this product. Do not use while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating this product may result in serious personal injury.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or Jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
• Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection with side shields or goggles and a dust mask. Protect eyes, skin, and lungs against drifting spray and during mixing, filling, and cleaning.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not use a ladder or on unstable support. Stable footing on a solid surface enables better control of the product in unexpected situations.
• Do not use the product If the switch does not turn on and off. Any product that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Store the product out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the product or these instructions to operate the product.
• Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F may cause an explosion.
• Keep the sprayer and its handle dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Always use a clean cloth when Never using brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, or any strong solvents to clean your tool. Following this rule will reduce the risk of loss of control and deterioration of the enclosure plastic.
• Use this product in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the product for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
• Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before inserting the battery pack. Inserting the battery pack into products that have the switch on invites
• Use the product only with specifically designated battery packs. The use  of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
• Use this product only with batteries and chargers listed in tool/appliance/battery pack/charger correlation supplement 987000-432.
• When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery, avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts the eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
• Have this product serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
• When servicing the product, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions in the Maintenance section of this manual. Use of unauthorized parts or failure to follow Maintenance Instructions may create a risk of shock or injury.
• Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

DANGER:
Risk of fire or explosion. Do not spray flammable liquids such as gasoline. Look for this symbol reference on the container.

WARNING:
Some spray created from products used with the sprayer contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, a birth defect or other reproductive harm.
Follow directions on containers of all such products.
To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, wear approved safety equipment such as face masks that are specially designed to filter out sprays, gloves, and other appropriate protective equipment.

WARNING:
Before filling the tank, always remove the battery pack.
Wipe up any spills before inserting the battery pack.
Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock and corrosive liquids entering the battery pack, which can cause battery pack failure including short circuits resulting in smoke, fire, and/or serious personal injury.

WARNING:
Do not allow conductive or corrosive fluids to get inside the battery pack. If conductive or corrosive fluids are spilled on the battery, refer to the instructions in your battery operator’s manual.

• Before using spray materials in this sprayer, read the label on its original container thoroughly and follow its directions. Some spray materials are dangerous and should not be used in this sprayer, as they can damage the sprayer and cause serious bodily injury or property damage.

• Know the contents of the chemical being sprayed. Read all Safety Data Sheets (SDS), instructions, and/or EPA Master Label guidelines provided with the chemical. Follow the chemical manufacturer’s safety instructions. It is a violation of federal law to use an EPA-approved chemical in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

• Electric shock hazard. Never spray toward electrical outlets.

• Do not pour hot or boiling liquids into the tank. These can weaken or damage the tubes or tank.

• For household use.

• The spray area must be well ventilated.

• Avoid spraying on windy days. Spray can be accidentally blown onto plants or objects that should not be sprayed.

• Store the sprayer in a secure, well-ventilated indoor space with the fluid tank empty.

• Do not use bleach or hydrogen peroxide.

• Do not use alcohol-based chemicals.

• Do not use powders or abrasive chemicals.

• Do not use caustic (alkali) or self-heating liquids in this sprayer.

• Do not spray on electronics. Refer to the chemical manufacturer’s instructions to ensure compatibility with the surfaces being sprayed, and check for other surfaces or items that should not be sprayed.

• Do not point the sprayer nozzle in the direction of people or pets.

• Do not leave residue or spray material in the tank after using the sprayer. Clean after each use.

• Do not smoke while using the sprayer, or spray where spark or flame is present.

• To reduce the risk of fire or explosion use a liquid with a flashpoint higher than 140°F (60°C).

• Risk of injection. Do not discharge directly against the skin.

• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not put the sprayer into water or other liquid. Do not place or store the sprayer where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.

• Maintain this product. Thoroughly inspect both the inside and outside of the sprayer and examine the components before each use. Check for cracked and deteriorated tanks, leaks, clogged nozzles, and missing or damaged parts. If damaged, have the product repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained products.

• Disconnect the battery from the unit before draining, cleaning, or storing the sprayer. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of accidental starting.

• Always wear eye protection with side shields or goggles marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result in fluids entering your eyes resulting in possible serious injury.

• Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask when using the sprayer. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury. Follow the chemical manufacturer’s safety instructions and guidelines listed on the SDS sheet and/or EPA Master Label.

• Battery tools do not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet; therefore, they are always operating Be aware of possible hazards when not using your battery too I or when changing accessories. Remove battery pack when tool is not in use. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.

• Do not place the battery too or their batteries near fire or heat this will reduce the  risk of explosion and possibly injury.

• Do not crush, drop or damage the battery pack. Do not use a battery pack or charger that has been dropped or received a sharp blow. A damaged battery is subject to explosion. Properly dispose of a dropped or damaged battery immediately.

• Batteries can explode in the presence of a source of ignition, such as a pilot light To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, never use any cordless product in the presence of open flame. An exploded battery can propel debris and chemicals. If exposed, flush with water

• Do not charge the battery tool in a damp or wet location. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock.

• Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, battery leakage may occur. If liquid comes in contact with your skin, wash immediatelywithsoapand water. If liquid gets into your eyes, flush them with clean water for at least 10 minutes, then seek immediate medical attention. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.

• Do not use the battery-operated appliances in rain.

• Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short the battery with conducting materials such as rings, bracelets, and keys. The battery or conductor may overheat and cause burns

• Do not dispose of the battery(ies) in a fire. The cell may explode. Check with local codes for possible special disposal instructions.

• Do not open or mutilate the battery(ies). Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.

• Avoid Dangerous Environment – Don’t use appliances in damp or wet locations.

• Use Right Appliance – Do not use an appliance for any job except that for which it is intended.

• Don’t Force Appliance – It will do the job better and with less likelihood of a risk of injury at the rate for which it was designed.

• Store Idle Appliances Indoors – When not in use, appliances should be stored indoors in dry, and high or locked-up place – out of reach of children.

• Maintain Appliance With Care – Keep clean for best performance and to reduce the risk of injury. Follow instructions for changing accessories. Inspect appliance cord, and if damaged, have it repaired by an authorized service facility. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.

• Check Damaged Parts – Before further use of the appliance, a guard or other part that is damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any other condition that may affect its operation. A guard or other part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service center unless indicated elsewhere in this manual.

KNOW YOUR SPRAYER
See Figure 1.
The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the product and in this operator’s manual as well as a knowledge of the project you are attempting.  Before the use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules.

ADJUSTABLE SPRAY NOZZLE
The adjustable nozzle adjusts the flow of liquid from a cone to a stream spray for targeted spraying.

PUMP-FREE SPRAYING
The battery-powered sprayer keeps fluid continuously cycling through the tank to allow pump-free spraying.

QUICK CONNECT OUTLET
The quick-connect outlet allows the sprayer to connect to accessory tanks for larger applications.

TANK
The tank is marked for measuring up to 0.5L (16.9 oz.) of liquid.

ASSEMBLY

UNPACKING
This product has been shipped completely assembled.

• Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included.

WARNING:
Do not use this product if it is not completely assembled or if any parts appear to be missing or damaged. The use of a product that is not properly and completely assembled could result in serious personal injury.

• Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
• Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the product.
• If any parts are damaged or missing, please call 1-800-525-2579 for assistance.

OPERATION

WARNING:
Do not allow familiarity with the product to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury.

Use safety equipment. Protect your eyes, skin, and lungs while mixing, filling, spraying, and cleaning. Failure to do so may result in serious personal injury and damage to property.

NOTICE:
Before each use, inspect the entire product for damaged, missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not operate this product until all missing or damaged parts are replaced. APPLICATIONS
You may use this product for the purpose listed below:

• For use with most consumer-grade home and garden chemicals such as insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides

FILLING THE TANK
See Figure 2.

WARNING:
Before filling the tank, always remove the battery pack.
Wipe up any spills before inserting the battery pack.
Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock and corrosive liquids entering the battery pack, which can cause battery pack failure including short circuits resulting in smoke, fire, and/or serious personal injury.

WARNING:
Always follow the chemical manufacturer’s instructions printed on their product labeling, SDS sheet, and/or EPA Master Label for use, cleaning, and storage. Do not combine chemicals. Clean thoroughly after each use, following the instructions in the Maintenance section of this manual. Chemicals should be stored out of the reach of children. Failure to do so may result in serious personal injury.

WARNING:
Improper mixing, combining or application of spray products or solutions can result in SEVERE INJURY or DEATH. Follow all CDC and EPA guidelines. Follow the chemical manufacturer’s instructions printed on their product labeling, SDS sheet, and/or EPA Master Label.

WARNING:
Do not allow conductive or corrosive fluids to get inside the battery pack. If conductive or corrosive fluids are spilled on the battery, refer to the instructions in your battery operator’s manual.

NOTICE:
Disconnect the tank and fill away from the sprayer. Clean the exterior of the tank and clean up any spillage before reconnecting the tank.

When adding spray solutions, you may add water and the desired chemical solution directly into the tank, or use a solution that has been premixed in a separate container, then poured into the sprayer, using a funnel if needed. For either method, remember:

• Liquids used must be as thin as water. Thicker liquids will not spray properly.
• Do not overfill the tank.

NOTE: If using a measuring container or funnel to fill the tank, be sure to thoroughly clean and rinse these items after use. If premixing the chemical solution, rinse the container used for mixing.

To fill the tank:

• Remove the battery pack.
• Unscrew the tank from the sprayer.
• Fill the tank with the desired liquid, up to 0.5L (16.9 oz.)
  NOTE: To ensure proper operation of the sprayer, DO NOT overfill the tank.

To reconnect the tank:

• Wipe the outside of the tank with a dry cloth and clean up any spills before reconnecting the tank.
• Carefully screw the tank back onto the sprayer, making sure it is tightened securely.
• Reinstall the battery pack.

WARNING:
Fluid may escape from the quick connect if the tank is not fully drained. Be cautious, and wear the appropriate protective equipment as specified on the chemicals.

NOTICE:
It is important to thoroughly clean the unit after each use.
Allowing the liquid to remain in an idle tool for an extended period may cause its moving pieces and connectors to seize up.

INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK
See Figure 3.

WARNING:
Always remove the battery pack from your tool when you are assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when not in use. Removing the battery pack will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury.

• Insert the battery pack into the product as shown.
• Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack snap in place and the battery pack is secured in the product before beginning operation.
• Depress the latches to remove the battery pack.

For complete charging instructions, see the operator’s manuals for your battery pack and charger.

WARNING:
Risk of fire or explosion. The spray area must be well-ventilated and away from sparks or flames.

TURNING THE SPRAYER ON/OFF
See Figure 4.

• To turn the sprayer ON, depress the switch trigger.
• To turn the sprayer OFF, release the switch trigger.

ADJUSTING THE NOZZLE
See Figure 5.
The adjustable nozzle can be adjusted from a stream to a cone spray.

• Remove the battery pack from the tool.
• Loosen the nozzle for a stream.
• Tighten the nozzle for a cone spray.

USING THE SPRAYER
See Figure 6.

WARNING:
Improper application of cleaning solution can result in SEVERE INJURY or DEATH. Follow CDC and EPA guidelines for cleaning. Follow the chemical manufacturer’s safety instructions and guidelines listed on the SDS sheet and/or EPA Master Label.

WARNING:
Risk of fire or explosion. The spray area must be well-ventilated and away from sparks or flames.

• Install the battery pack into the tool.

• Direct the sprayer nozzle directly at the plants or objects you wish to spray.

• Depress the switch trigger to begin spraying/fogging.
  NOTE: While the sprayer is in use some dripping from the nozzle may occur, this is to be expected.
  NOTE: Holding the sprayer at an angle could cause liquid to spurt or stream rather than fog.

• Release the trigger to stop the spray.

• Allow surfaces to air dry. Follow chemical manufacturer’s instructions regarding post-application of surfaces.

• Always refer to the chemical bottle instructions, SDS sheet, and/or EPA Master label for a proper dwell time of chemicals.

OPERATION

• Always empty, clean, and drain the tank after every use as directed in the Maintenance section.
• Turn off the sprayer and remove the battery pack.
• Unscrew the tank from the sprayer.
• Return any unused fluid to its original container, and thoroughly clean the sprayer.
• Review the chemical SDS sheet on how best to secure and store your chemical solution when not in use.
• Thoroughly clean the sprayer before storing or before switching to a different chemical. See Cleaning the Unit later in this manual.
  NOTE: Wipe the outside of the tank with a dry cloth and clean up any spills before inserting the tank.

WARNING:
Always flush the unit when you change chemical products.
Do not mix or combine chemicals.

• When you are finished with the sprayer, thoroughly wash your hands and any area where the skin has been exposed to the mist.

CONNECTING AN ACCESSORY TANK
See Figure 7.

WARNING:
Fluid may escape from the quick connect if the tank is not fully drained. Be cautious, and wear the appropriate protective equipment as specified on the chemicals packaging,  SDS sheet, or EPA master label.

The sprayer is equipped with a quick-connect outlet which allows the user to connect a quick-connect hose and accessory tank to the sprayer for larger applications. (Accessory tank and quick connect hose not included.)

To attach accessory tank:

• Pull back the quick-connect collar on the tank.
• Remove the sprayer by pulling it from the quick connect collar.
• Pull back the quick-connect collar on the hose.
• Push the male barb on the sprayer into the female quick connect on the hose.
• Push the collar forward so that the hose is secured properly.
• Pull-on the hose to be certain it is properly secured.

To disconnect the accessory tank:

• Pull back the quick-connect collar on the hose.
• Remove the sprayer by pulling it from the quick-connect collar.

OPERATING TIPS

• Never point the spray end of the sprayer at yourself or others.
• Avoid spraying/fogging on windy days. Mist can be accidentally blown onto plants or objects that should not be sprayed.
• Never point the sprayer in the direction of people or animals; always direct downwind.
• Especially in warmer weather, use a sprayer in the early morning or late afternoon. Excessive heat can evaporate the mist before it settles.
• Never smoke, eat, or drink while operating the sprayer.
• For household use only.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the tool when cleaning or performing any maintenance.

WARNING:

WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
The use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage.

NOTICE:
Periodically inspect the entire product for damaged, missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not operate this product until all missing or damaged parts are replaced. Please contact customer service or an authorized service center for assistance.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.

WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken, or destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.

CLEANING THE UNIT
See Figure 8.

WARNING:
Always store and dispose of chemicals properly. Disposal of contaminated rinse water should be performed according to local ordinances and bylaws.

Draining the tank:
If there is any liquid left in the tank after spraying, the tank should be drained before cleaning. Do not store chemicals in the tank.

• Remove the battery pack.
• Unscrew the tank from the sprayer.
• Drain the contents of the tank through the fill area.

WARNING:
Fluid may escape from the quick connect if the tank is not fully drained. Be cautious, and wear the appropriate protective equipment as specified on the chemicals

• Review the chemical SDS sheet on how best to secure and store your chemical solution when not in use.
  NOTE: Drain the contents back into the original container or a suitable replacement container. For disposal, follow instructions on the product’s label and all local, state, and federal regulations.

Cleaning the sprayer:

• Fill the tank about one-third full with clean water. A small amount of mild household detergent may be added.
  NOTE: Never use flammable chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the tank.

• Reconnect the tank to the sprayer.

• Reinstall the battery pack. Spray until the tank has been emptied. Make sure to direct the spray toward an area that will not be damaged by the spray solution.

• Refill and repeat the procedure with clean water. It may be necessary to rinse the tank more than once, then drain again as directed above.

• Allow all pieces to completely dry, then reinstall the tank cap.

• Wipe the outside of the sprayer with a clean, dry cloth.
  NOTE: Store the sprayer in an upright position. DO NOT store the sprayer on its side.

CLEANING THE NOZZLE
See Figures 9 – 10.

To clean nozzle:

• Remove the battery pack.
• Unscrew and remove the nozzle and o-ring from the sprayer.
• Remove nozzle cap.
• Soak nozzle and o-ring in warm, soapy water.
• If necessary, use a fine needle to free any foreign materials clogging or restricting the nozzle.
• After soaking, reinstall the nozzle cap, o-ring, and nozzle.
• Run clean water through the unit for 1-2 minutes.

NOTE: If a chemical has recently been sprayed, use gloves for this procedure.

• Unscrew the tank from the quick connect.
• Lift tabs on the side of the filter cap.
• Remove the seals and filter screen.
• With a soft brush and soapy water, clean debris from the filter screen.
• Reinstall seals and screen.
• Press the filter cap on until the tabs securely fit back in place.

TROUBLESHOOTING

released.| The liquid in the tank is too thick.| Empty the tank, clean both the tank and filter, then try
again. Make sure that all chemicals/liquids used in the
sprayer are as thin as water.
The spray is weak.| Filter or nozzle needs to be
cleaned.
The solution is too thick.| Clean filter as described in Cleaning the Filter.
Make sure that all chemicals/liquids used in the sprayer
are as thin as water.
The unit runs for a short period
then shuts off.| The battery needs charging.
The solution is too thick.| Recharge the battery.
Make sure that all chemicals/liquid used in the sprayer areas thin as water.
