Thank you for purchasing our Fully Automatic Coffee Machine.
This user manual is provided to assist you with its operation, to familiarize yourself with the machine for an enjoyable coffee experience at home or in the office.
Please read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
Please note – Each person’s coffee is unique. Experimentation is recommended to ensure you are making the perfect coffee for your particular taste.

SAFETY GUARDS

using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
Including the following:

  1. Read all Instructions.

  2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

  3. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plugs, in water or other liquid.

  4. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

  5. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
    Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

  6. The use of accessory attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.

  7. Do not use outdoors.

  8. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

  9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

  10. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”. Then remove plug from wall outlet.

  11. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

  12. Avoid contacting moving parts.

  13. Don’t move the covering lid away when the appliance is in working.

  14. Scalding may occur if the brewing unit is removed during the brewing cycles.

  15. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

  17. A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

  18. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in heir use.

  19. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
    a. the marked electrical rating of the (detachable power supply cord or) extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
    b. the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding type 3-wire cord ;
    c. the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

  20. If the detachable cord is less than 2 meters, cord of 3G 1.5mm2 should be used, otherwise at least cord of 3G1 ,0mm2 must be used.

  21. The appliance must not be immersed in water.

  22. Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.

  23. Connector must be removed before the appliance is cleaned and that the appliance inlet must be dried before the appliance is used again.

  24. Do not use the power connector and the power cord if it is immersed in water or damp ..

  25. The product should not be used when the power line is damaged, close to high temperature, and the power line is under pressure.
    The product should not be washed in water, played with or handled by children.

  26. This coffee-maker shall not be placed in a cabinet when in use.

  27. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

Attention:
If the appliance or the supply cord is damaged, it must be repaired by manufacturer, its service agent or qualified person. The connector must be removed before the appliance is cleaned and that the appliance inlet must be dried before the appliance is used again. The appliance must not be immersed in water.
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.
Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available.
If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being.
When replacing old appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obligated to take back your old appliance for disposals at least free of charge.

Safety

  • Place the machine on a level and clean surface Leave at least 100mm between the wall and the machine

Impurity Filter

The impurity filter in the grinder keeps unwanted sand and stones that may be contained in the coffee beans away. These impurities may otherwise cause damage to the machine. If some impurities still find their way into the grinder, they will cause the grinder to make unusually loud noises and the coffee machine will shut off automatically after 20 seconds. If the grinder is blocked by stone or sand, never try to take out the impurity yourself, please contact an authorized dealer or repairman.

If your machine meets the below problem, it will keep beeping, and the icon will also blinking, please deal with the problem as the introduction.

    When this symbol is displayed and normally an “Error code number” comes together on the panel, it means the machine is overheated, ventilation, NTC error, or needs descaling.

Installation

NOTICE   Use purified water is recommended. Do not fill liquid other than water into the water tank. in order to extend service life of the coffee machine, do not mix coffee
bean with other material (such as sugar and so on), otherwise the grinder will be damaged. These damages are not in the scope of warranty.

Operation

START UP AND SELF-CLEANING FUNCTION

Plug in the power, long press on the(!) button. The machine starts up after one “beep” sound, then begins self-checking, warming up and self-cleaning.

ESPRESSO & AMERICANO

When the machine is on working mode, press “Espresso” or “Americana” to make a single cup of coffee. The machine starts the process of grinding -> pressure-> brewing to complete coffee.

HOW TO CHOOSE MAKING 1 OR 2 CUPS:

Double-click the   or button to make one or double cups of coffee.

HOW TO CANCEL MAKING COFFEE:

Keep pressing or button to cancel it during brewing process.

HOW TO ADJUST THE BEAN QUANTITY, COFFEE TEMPERATURE AND COFFEE VOLUME:

Keep pressing the or button, until the selection menu turns on.
It starts flashing from bean volume light, press + or – to adjust the bean quantity.
Then press to go coffee volume, and the coffee volume light starts flashing, press + or – to adjust it.
Next, press again to go temperature setting, press + or- to select 65°C/70°C/80°C. Press again to save and exit the selection menu.
Finally, press the or again to start making coffee with the saving preference.

Bean volume : 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 mol
Coffee volume : 20 – 250 ml
Coffee Temperature : 65°C / 70°C / 80°C

HOW TO ADJUST THE BEAN GRINDING

Press the grinder setting knob and turn to counter clockwise for fine powder; or turn to clockwise for coarse grinding.

With different roast levels, please adjust the bean volume on the control panel before making coffee. We have suggestion as below:

  • ☑  Light Roast “1-2” bean symbols
  • ☑ Medium Roast “2-3” bean symbols
  • ☑ Medium Dark Roast “3-4” bean symbols
  • ☑ Dark Roast “5” bean symbols

MANUAL DESCALING

Before Descaling

  • Please make sure the water tank is full and descale is dissolved in the water before starting descaling process.
  • Please prepare a big container(2.0L or bigger) to collect waste water during the descaling process.

The full descaling process have five stages.

  1. Please make sure the machine is powered off.

  2. Plug in, and the display panel shows as below for 4s, immediately keep pressing both “Esspresso” and “Americana” buttons for 10s.
    Then press “setting” button to confirm, the machine goes to the manual descaling mode.

  3. The water tank volume is 1800 ml, the machine may take 30 mins to finish full process. Once the water tank is empty, the display panel shows the symbol “fill water”. Then refill water into the water tank and move to the second stage.

  4. stage of descaling. Please prepare a container to collect waste water during this process. The second stage takes 1000ml water and 4 mins to finish the process.

  5. When the second stage is finished, the machine goes back to the working mode automatically.

Clean and Maintenance

Regularly clean and maintenance can extend the machine service time.

Hold the handle of the brew unit and press down at the position printed with the word “PRESS”.
Take the brew unit out, then clean the waste powder in the cabin first by a dry towel.| Clean and Maintenance
Flushing the brew unit by tap water, then leave it for dry|
The brew can be installed by aligning the slot on the rack, and then confirm whether it is installed collect by checking the symbol on the display panel.|
Take out the waste bin and waste water collector, then flush them or clean them with a brush. Install them back after clean.|
Take out the waste tray, then clean it and install it back.|
In general, the bean container does not need to be cleaned. Use a dry towel to wipe the inside surface of the bean container.|

CAUTION Do not add water into the bean container. It may damage the machine by doing so. Clean the waste bin, waste water collector on a daily base is recommended.

Troubleshooting

In case of failure, malfunction or other damage when the machine falls to the ground, the power plug of the machine should be pulled out immediately.
During the use of the machine, if there is a fault, you can follow the contents listed in the table below to find a solution. If the problem still cannot be solved, please contact the manufacturer authorized dealer.
This machine may only be serviced by the manufacturer’s authorized dealer or by the manufacturer’s technical personnel. The manufacturer will not be responsible for any consequences caused by the user’s failure to comply with the operation instructions.
If the machine can no longer be used, the power plug should be pulled out immediately. Send the machine to a designated service center for repair or destruction.

Problem Reason Solution
Coffee can’t flow out The grinder grinds too much coffee, or the ground is
too fine Adjust the grinding setting knob, to adjust the powder to the

thickest or least. We suggest to check your waste bin, if the powder particles are large, adjust it to fine; if the powder particles are small, adjust it to coarse.
The brewing unit can’t be removed| The brewing unit is not in the right position| a.   Please try to restart the machine. Eliminate all alarm prompts when power on, and the unit will automatically return to the starting position.
b.   Please try a bit harder to push it into the original position, there will be a “ka” sound if it is in the right position.
The grinder is too loud| There is debris in the grinder| Contact the manufacture or seller.
You can’t grind down coffee when you make it| wet coffee beans| The first powder to the thickest file to see whether to eliminate the problem, if not solved, please contact the seller.

Warranty:

MEROL warrants to the original consumer purchaser of its products that they are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of the original consumer purchase.

If, with in twelve (12) months from the original consumer purchase, any such product shall prove to be defective, it shall be repaired or replaced at MEROL’s option, subject to the terms and conditions set forth below.
The original purchase receipt and product warranty information label are required to determine warranty legality. Eligibility is based on purchase date of original product – not the date of replacement under warranty.
The warranty is limited to repair or replacement of product only – Purchaser pays all removal, installation, labor, shipping, and incidental charges.
For parts or troubleshooting assistance, DO NOT return product to your retail store.

Claims made under this warranty shall be made by returning the product (except sewage pumps, see below) to the retail outlet where it was purchased immediately after the discovery of any algid defect. Merol will subsequently take corrective action as promptly as reasonably possible.
No requests for service will be accepted if received more than 30 days after the warranty expires.
