Important Safeguards

Basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

  1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.

  2. Close adult supervision is necessary when the Portable Blender is used by or near children.

  3. Store your Portable Blender in a secure place, out of the reach of children.

  4. This Blender is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

  5. To disconnect, press the POWER ON/OFF button to STOP the blending operation. The Portable Blender and the white illuminated POWER ON/OFF button will turn off.

  6. To avoid causing damage or leaks to the jar and base, NEVER BLEND hot liquids exceeding 120°F/49°C.

  7. Never place any Portable Blender attachments into a microwave oven or freezer.

  8. Take care when handling the base of the Portable Blender without the blending jar attached.
    CAUTION: KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM THE EXPOSED BLADES! Blades are sharp and can cause severe injury if touched. Assemble with a clean blending jar immediately.
    IMPORTANT: As a safety precaution, your Portable Blender is equipped with a blending jar interlock system. The Portable Blender will not turn ON unless the blending jar is tightly sealed onto the base.

  9. Keep hands and utensils out of the jar while blending.
    CAUTION: To reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the unit AVOID CONTACT WITH MOVING PARTS. Blades can still spin when the lid is removed.
    WARNING: NEVER overfill the jar. To avoid personal injury, leakage, or damage to the Portable Blender, NEVER add ingredients past the MAX fill line.

  10. Utensils, a scraper, or a small spatula may be used ONLY when the Portable Blender is not running.

  11. Never place the base of your Portable Blender in the dishwasher.

  12. To avoid spills, after blending, always allow ingredients to settle in your Portable Blender before unscrewing the lid.

  13. To avoid spills and possible injury, always operate your Portable Blender with the lid tightly sealed.

  14. To avoid spills and possible injury, or damage to the Portable Blender, NEVER use carbonated drinks in your Portable Blender. Pressure build-up may cause the covered blending jar to burst.

  15. To avoid spills and possible injury, or damage to the Portable Blender, NEVER allow food to remain in the Portable Blender jar for prolonged periods of time. Pressure build-up or fermentation may cause the covered blending jar to burst.

  16. NEVER run your Portable Blender with an empty blending jar, as this can damage the blender.

  18. Use only high-quality USB charging leads (phone charger, computer or car) and the USB-C cable supplied with your Portable Blender.

  19. NEVER immerse the supplied charging cable in water or other liquids to avoid risk of electric shock.

  20. Do not allow the USB charging cable to touch hot surfaces.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
  1. Carefully unpack the Portable To-Go Blender and remove all packaging materials. Check the contents to ensure that all attachments (Tritan™ blending jar and lid) are present and have been received in good condition.

  2. Fill the blending jar with water to the MAX fill line and add a drop of liquid dish soap. BLEND for 1 cycle (30 seconds).

  3. Repeat procedure without soap. Add room temperature water to the MAX fill line. BLEND for 1 cycle (30 seconds).

  4. Rinse well. Allow to air dry.
    NOTE: When the cover is secured over the charging port, the Portable Blender is resistant to water.
    WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR BASE IN WATER.

  5. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth.

  6. CHARGE THE PORTABLE TO-GO BLENDER. Lift the cover to expose the charging port. Attach the USB charging cable provided to the base. Charge your Portable Blender with any high-quality USB charging lead: phone charger, computer, or car. Make sure the USB charging cable is inserted fully. When the cable is first connected, the POWER ON/OFF button will illuminate solid red.

  7. Charge unit for 4 to 5 hours. When the POWER ON/OFF button illuminates solid white, the Portable Blender is fully charged. A full charge will provide up to 20 minutes of BLEND time.

  8. Make sure the charging port cover is securely in place before operation.

  9. Remove the charging cable and store in a dry, designated safe place before use.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Your Portable To-Go Blender offers simple one-touch operation.

  2. Make sure the charging port cover is in place before use.
    IMPORTANT: The Portable Blender should not be operated when the blending jar is empty. Add liquids or food to the blending jar before blending.
    WARNING: NEVER BLEND hot liquids exceeding 120°F/49°C.

  3. Add liquid ingredients to the blending jar first. Place the remaining ingredients on top.
    WARNING: NEVER overfill the jar. NEVER add ingredients past the MAX fill line.

  4. Attach the lid to the blending jar. Turn clockwise until tightly sealed.
    IMPORTANT : As a safety precaution, your Portable Blender is equipped with a blending jar interlock system. The Portable Blender will not turn ON unless the blending jar is tightly sealed onto the base.
    WARNING: To avoid personal injury, leakage, or damage to the Portable Blender, make sure the blending jar is not overloaded and the lid is tightly sealed onto the blending jar before pressing the POWER ON/OFF button.

BLEND MODE

  1. Press the POWER ON/OFF button twice to begin. The BLEND cycle is timed and after 30 seconds it will turn OFF automatically. Repeat as needed.

  2. To turn the Portable Blender OFF at any time, press the POWER ON/OFF button once to STOP blending operation.

  3. Check results and if necessary, stir in liquids: water, juice, stock, coffee, alcohol, or mixer.

  4. Press the POWER ON/OFF button twice to resume blending.
    NOTE: The Personal Blender will not operate unless the 4 locking tabs on the blade collar are properly fitted into the 4 slots on the motor base.

  5. Blend until the desired consistency is reached.
    WARNING: If the battery temperature gets too high, the POWER ON/OFF button will turn red and begin flashing. The Portable Blender will turn OFF. Allow the Portable Blender to rest before continuing.
    Blend Technique:
    For best results, remove ice cubes from the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes before using. Frozen fruit should be cut into uniform, small chunks.

  6. To BLEND frozen fruits or ice cubes add liquids: water, juice, stock, coffee, or mixer and a handful of frozen fruits or ice cubes.

  7. Attach the lid, turn clockwise until tightly sealed.

  8. For more difficult blending, flip the Portable Blender upside down. Press POWER ON/OFF button twice to BLEND. Flip the Portable Blenderback to right-side-up. BLEND until smooth.

  9. Add additional liquid, chunks of frozen fruit or cubes. Shake the Portable Blender to distribute contents and BLEND until the desired consistency is reached.

PULSE MODE:

  1. The PULSE mode is perfect when a chunkier consistency is desired. PULSE to prepare guacamole, salsa, hummus, chopped ice.
  2. Press and hold the POWER ON/OFF button for 2 seconds to initiate the PULSE mode. The white illuminated POWER ON/OFF button will begin to flash.
  3. To PULSE, press the POWER ON/OFF button. Blades will stop when the button is released. PULSE until the desired consistency is reached.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable parts. Any servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning must be performed by a qualified appliance repair technician.

CARE AND CLEANING

  1. Protect the charging port by pressing the cover into place when not in use.

  2. Take care when handling the base of the Portable Blender without the blending jar attached.

Limited One (1) Year Warranty
JC Penney Purchasing LLC warrants this product to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of One (1) year from the date of original purchase (the “Warranty Period”). Dated proof of purchase such as a bill of sale is required to establish warranty eligibility. If the product fails to perform due to a defect in materials or workmanship during the Warranty Period, JC Penney Purchasing LLC will replace the merchandise with the same or comparable item at no charge to you. If the product cannot be repaired and a suitable replacement item is not available, JC Penney Purchasing LLC will refund the original purchase price shown on your proof of purchase.
