Quick Start Guide
HIK Series PoE IP Camera
Before your start:
-
Download software:
SADP: A tool to detect, activate and modify the IP address of the device over the LAN.
SADP Download: https://hitosino.com/pages/downloadcenter
IVMS4200 Download: https://hitosino.com/pages/downloadcenter
IVMS4200: A PC client to manage and operate your devices, providing functionalities like live view, playback, device parameter configuration, and more. -
Make sure the IP address of camera on in the same network as your router/network.
Setup the Camera without NVR
1.1 Connection methods of camera
The following pictures show the two connection methods of the camera when it’s
used alone.

Powered by a 12V DC power supply.
When you need the camera to be used without NVR, please refer to the following connection and activation steps. -
Powered by a PoE switch.
1.2 Camera Activation and Accessing
Then you need to activate camera by SADP and access camera via browser and
Guarding Vision.
1.2.1 Activate Camera via SADP

Run the SADP software and search the online devices by clicking refresh button.

Activate Camera.
①. Find and select your inactive camera in online device list
②. Input a new password and confirm the password.
③. Click Activate.
Note:
The device and the PC that runs the SADP tool should belong to the same subnet.

Modify the IP address of the camera and computer in the same network segment.
①. Select the camera.
②. Change the device IP address to the same subnet as your computer by either modifying the IP address manually or checking Enable DHCP.
③. Input the admin password and click Modify to activate your IP address.
Note:
- Make sure your router supports DHCP and is enabled.
- After checking DHCP, you can no longer manually change the address.
1.2.2 Access Camera via Web Browser
- Open the web browser or double click the camera IP address on SADP.
- Input IP address of the camera to enter the login interface.
- Input username and password, then click Login.
Note:
- The default IP address is 192.168.1.64. Username: admin;
- For most web browsers, It is Plug-in free. But certain operating systems and web browsers may restrict the display and operation of the camera function, then you should install plug-in or complete certain settings to ensure normal display and operation or download IVMS-4200 client to run the camera.
- If Plug-in is a must, you can click Download Plug-in to install the plug-in, and refresh or reopen the browser after the installation. If the plug-in installation fails, please download and save the plug-in to your computer, close all browsers, and then reinstall. If you are using IE, please install Plug-in.
- Click Save and refresh web, then you will see live view.
1.2.3 Access to the camera by Guarding Vision

Enable Guarding Vision Service via Web Browser. Guarding Vision is an APP for mobile device to remote view and receive alarm notification. etc.
①. Access the camera via web browser.
②. Login to the web interface of camera. Configuration >Network>Advanced Settings>Platform Access.
③. Select Guarding Vision as the Platform Access Mode.
④. Check Enable. Enter and confirm the Verification Code.
⑤. Click Save and refresh web. Then register status content will show online. -
Download the mobile APP Guarding Vision
①. Scan the following QR code to download Guarding Vision App.|

②. Start the application and register for a Guarding Vision user account.
③. Log in after registration
- Add camera via Guarding Vision.
In the app, tap “+”on the upper-right corner:
Click Scan QR Code, then scan the QR code of the camera to add the camera. Or click Manual Adding to enter the SN number in the device body.
Enter the device verification code and set the device name. Click the device to watch the video.

Note:
If you cannot connect to the camera via Guarding Vision or web, please make
sure:
- Your camera is connected to network/router.
- The camera IP address is on the same subnet as your network/router, including IP address, gateway, and DNS setting.
- Guarding Vision is enabled and register status shows online.
Connect Camera to NVR
2.1 Connect Camera to HITOSINO PoE NVR
HITOSINO HIK series cameras are fully compatible with
HITOSINO/Hikvision/Hikvision rebranded PoE NVR.
2.2 Connect Camera to Non-PoE NVR
To connect to non-POE NVR, you need to activate and add cameras on the NVR’s
camera channel management interface, you can browse HITOSINO’s YouTube channel
to watch the video. Refer to Figure 3-3.
Note:
- Make sure the network connection is valid. The camera and the NVR must be on the same network segment. For example, if your system is connected like shown in Figure 2-1, the network of HITOSINO NVR PoE Port is 192.168.254.X, then IP address of camera must be 192.168.254.Y, but X and Y can’t be the same.
- For Hikvision/HITOSINO/Hikvision OEM PoE NVRs which support Plug & Play, if the “Plug & Play” feature is not available or not applicable, please add camera manually.
- If you are using NVR with other brands, either PoE or Non-PoE, please do remember to enable camera ONVIF protocol via web browser.

3.1 Why can’t I open the default IP address 192.168.1.64 via a web browser?
3.2 How to update the firmware of the IP camera ?
①. Ask the supplier for the suitable firmware. ②. You can use the web browser, search tool or PC client to upgrade the camera. ③. Go to the Configuration > System > Maintenance > Upgrade & Maintenance, click browse and select the firmware, then click the Upgrade button and wait for the operation to complete. Note: Keep camera always powered.
3.3 I require my camera's RTSP stream for external integration. How can I get this?
RTSP streams will all follow a formula that you can plug your information into. RTSP without Authentication (NVR/DVR/IPC/Encoder) rtsp://:/Streaming/channels/ RTSP with Authentication rtsp://:@:/Streaming/channels/ Note: represents main stream (01), or the sub stream (02) Example: rtsp://173.200.91.70:10554/Streaming/channels/101 ‒ get the main stream of the 1st channel rtsp://173.200.91.70:10554/Streaming/channels/102 ‒ get the sub stream of the 1st channel
3.4 Why does the NVR not show image after adding your IP camera?
①. If the camera has been activated on the computer or connected to other NVRs, it may be that the current pass word of the camera does not match the password of the connected NVR. You can reset the camera to factory default by pressing the reset button for 10-15 seconds while the camera is powered on, or add the camera manually on NVR by inputting IP address and password. ②. Check whether Plug-and-Play and PoE Binding configuration are enabled, or reset the NVR to factory default. ③. If the camera is connected to the NVR through a PoE switch or router, when adding the camera, make sure that the IP network of the camera is the same as that of the NVR, and username, password and protocol type must be right. ④. Confirm whether the NVR supports the resolution and encoding format of the camera. If NVR cannot support highest resolution of camera, need to change the resolution of camera accordingly; If the NVR does not support H.265, the camera needs to be modified to H.264.
3.5 Forget Password
Solution 1: Reset and activate the camera Power the camera and open the slot cover, then press and hold the reset button for 10-15s to restore the camera to the factory settings. Solution 2: Export the file. Steps: Open SADP > Check the camera > Forget Password > Export to export the xml file and send it to the after-sales team > Enter the key given by the after-sales service personnel > Enter a new password for the camera. Note: The camera needs to be powered all the time after importing the file. The decrypt file is valid on the same day, please import asap after getting it.
3.6 How to open onvif protocol?
①. Enter the IP address of the camera in the computer browser to enable the ONVIF protocol of the camera. Steps: Log into the web interface of the camera Go to Configuration > Network > Advanced Settings > Check on the Enable Open Network Video Interface box Select Digest&ws-username token Click Add (Automatic pop-up account password setting Integration Protocol box). Create a new ONVIF user as an administrator (You can use Click OK Click Save whatever username and password you want) ②. Set the camera time to be consistent with the actual time. Steps: Choose Manual Time Sync Tick Sync. with computer time Click Configuration-System-System Settings-Time Settings Click Save. https://hitosino.com/
3.7 How to enable audio on the camera?
The audio can be enabled on web browser, IVMS4200 or Guarding Vision, here take web browser for example. Steps: 1. Access the IP cameras via your web browser, Go to Configuration > Video/Audio, then select Stream Type to be mainstream and sub stream separately and set video type of both stream to be Video&Audio, then click Save. 2. Go to the Audio tab to set audio input to Emicin 3. Go to the Live View tab, enable the audio output by clicking the icon and adjust its volume.
