4G Tuya Smart Alarm System User Manual

Introduction

The intelligent anti-theft alarm system is based on the intelligent alarm host, and is equipped with passive infrared detectors, magnetic door detectors, wireless sirens and wireless remote controls to form an intelligent alarm system. This set of products can realize anti-theft alarm and scene linkage, through simple installation and setting can realize the function.

Note:
① The backup battery is not plugged in at the factory and is powered on, so you need to open the back cover and plug it in.
② This product uses a Micro-SIM card, and the SIM card opens Cellular Data at the same time. Instructions for using cellular data:
The first network configuration needs about 60KBytes.
Upload data every 2 minutes. It will need about 10MBytes a month.
Reset button: Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds, release the button when you hear a beep, when the indicator light flashes quickly, it means waiting for network configuration.
Manual Pairing key: Short press the pairing key, the green light will rotate and light up, triggering the accessory, host will prompt that the pairing successfully.
Wired zone interface:
Orange line 1: 42 defense zone (wired defense zone) Orange and white line 2: GND (wired defense zone)
Blue line 7: 43 defense zone (wired defense zone) Green and white line 4: GND (wired defense zone)
Green line 3: 44 defense zone (wired defense zone) Blue and white line 6: GND (wired defense zone)

Wired defense zone wiring diagram:
The wired defense zone supports the detector normally open/normally closed, and the wired detector is in the normally open state. When it is triggered, the normally open state change to normally closed, and the host will alarm (the default defense zone type is the timely defense zone, which needs to be armed ) The indicator light has various status as follows:
Armed state: the panel indicator light is blue, and always on.
At home/stay-at-home status: The indicator light on the panel is blue, and the indicator lights up once every 2 seconds.
Disarmed state: the indicator light on the panel is sky blue, and the indicator light is always on.
Alarm status: the panel indicator light is red, and the indicator light flashes quickly.
Network LED:
※ If the SIM card is not inserted/the SIM card is not in good contact, the indicator light will be off, and the voice will not prompt the system to disarm.
※ Plug in the SIM card and turn on the power, the indicator light flashes quickly, and at the same time, the voice prompts the system to disarm and scan the QR code to start network configuration.
※ After the network configuration is successful, the indicator light is always on.

How to use:

Step 1: Download App

• Search “Smart Life” in the app store or Google store to download, Or scan the QR code to download.https://smartapp.tuya.com/smartlife
• Register an account with your mobile phone number or email and log in after App download.

Step 2: 4G alarm host connecting to cloud server
① Make sure your mobile phone has connected to WiFi or Cellular Data available.
② Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds, release the button when you hear a beep, when the indicator light flashes quickly, it means waiting for network configuration.
③ Open ‘SmartLife’App, click ‘+’at right upper corner or ‘Add Device’, click “ ” at right upper corner to scan the QR code at the host bottom to start network configuration.When you purchase our smart alarm set, the sensors and remote controllers have been added into the host, no need to add it again. If you need to add a new sensor or new device, please do it as following methods:
Method 1: Open “Smart Life”, enter the 4G alarm panel >>> accessories >>> “+” in the upper right corner >>> quickly add accessories, the green light will rotate in a circle, trigger the accessories → the alarm panel will prompt “pairing successful”. The sensor can be a magnetic sensor, a PIR sensor, a water leak detector, a gas detector, a RF433MHz smart socket, a wireless keyboard, etc.
Method 2: Manual pairing key, short press the manual pairing key on the side, the alarm panel will make a beep, the green light will rotate in a circle, trigger the accessories → the alarm panel will give a voice prompt of “pairing successful”, and the sensor can be Door sensor, PIR sensor, water leak detector, gas detector, a RF433MHz smart socket, wireless keyboard, etc.

Add a PIR detector:

Add a PIR detector: turn on the switch backside, the PIR indicator is always on, the alarm host prompts that the pairing is successful, the PIR is initialized successfully in about 1 minute, and the PIR is triggered once every 30 seconds by default. We can customized the trigger time according to your order need. Add a door sensor:
Turn on the switch, separate the door sensor and magnetic, the indicator will be always ON, alarm host will prompt ‘Pairing successful’. Add a remote controller:
Turn on the switch, and press any key, the alarm host will prompt ‘Pairing successful’. Add external wireless siren:
enter the alarm host → settings → wireless control → switch it ON, which means that the wireless pairing is turned on, and the alarm host is ready to pair to the wireless external siren. (Please refer to the corresponding siren manual for pairing. For our external wireless siren, switch on the power, short press the backside button of the siren, the 4 indicator lights are always on in the pairing state, press the disarm button in App, the alarm host sends a wireless signal, there will be a beep if the pairing is successful, and then short press 6 times to exit the pairing, and the 4 indicators are off ). (To prevent the same frequency causes the detector to be added to the siren, it is recommended to use the APP to arm and disarm and pair a wireless siren).
Defense zones programming setting:
After all detectors are paired, the default is the instant defense zone, which will be effective when armed, and the remote control is effective for 24 hours.
Bypass:
Click the gray switch on the right side of the detector to indicate that the detector is bypassed, and the green switch to indicate that the detector is enabled.
Valid for 24 hours: firstly click the detector name, the edit interface will come up, select the zone attribute as 24 hours, and click save.

Factory Default zone type

Note: Because the APP can only display 50 detectors, 99 devices can actually be added. If more than 50pcs, APP can not display all, the defense zone type cannot be set. The 42, 43, 44, and 45 defense zones are shared by both four wired defense zones and the wireless defense zone.
Add Alarm phone number
When an accessory is triggered, the user can be notified of the current accessory alarm by the phone calling, and the alarm situation can be dealt with in time. The operation steps are as follows:
Enter smart life → 4G alarm host → settings → pull down to contact → alarm phone number → add phone number → input phone number → save.
Add alarm SMS number
When an accessory is triggered, the user can be notified of the current accessory alarm by sending a text message, and the alarm situation can be dealt with in time. The operation steps are the same as the alarm phone number.
Delete phone number:
Click the red icon on the left, prompt to delete the phone number.

Daily operation

Arm
When the system is armed, the blue light of the host is always on, and the voice prompts: the system is armed and enters the alert state. If there is an intruder, the alarm will be activated. The following two methods can be used for arming: Disarm
When the system is disarmed, the host blue light is off, the sky blue light is always on, and the voice prompts: the system is disarmed, the alarm is released, and it is in the disarmed state. The following two methods can be used to disarm: Home Arm
When the system is in the home arm, the blue light of the host lights up every 2 seconds, and a voice prompt: the system is armed and enters the home alert state, and the defense zone type is set to the home mode. If there is an intruder, the alarm will start. The following 2 methods can be operated at home Arming: SOS for help
When happening something emergent, press the SOS button on the remote control or the button on the host, the host will start the alarm immediately, the red indicator light will flash, push notification of the alarm and make a call to the user, the following methods enable the emergency alarm: Factory Restore
Open the “Smart Life APP”, click on the host to enter the setting page, press the button to restore the factory, it will prompt that the setting is successful, indicating that the factory settings have been restored, and the APP shows that the device has been removed.
Note: After restoring the factory settings, you need to re-scan the QR code under the bottom case of the host to configure the network, all sensors will be removed, and all settings will be restored to factory defaults.

Product installation

Door sensor installation instructions: Note:
① The door contact and the magnet are aligned up and down, and the gap between the two should not be more than 1CM.
② After the installation is completed, open the door for testing, the door sensor light is on to prove that the installation is OK, and a signal will be emitted when it is opened.
③ When the door is opened or closed, the app will push low battery, and the battery should be replaced as soon as possible.
④ The transmission distance is ≤100 meters (in open air), please test after installation, and the distance of different obstacles will be different.
⑤ To replace the battery, push the cover up to open the cover and take out the battery.

Infrared installation instructions:

In order to reduce false alarms, the PIR motion sensor installation should pay attention to:
① Do not face glass doors and windows directly.
② It is not advisable to face large objects that are easy to swing.
③ It is not suitable to face the hot and cold vents or cold and heat sources.
④ There should be no screens, furniture, large bonsai or other isolation objects within the detection range.
⑤ More than 2 infrared detectors cannot be installed in the same space, otherwise the simultaneous triggering of the alarm will cause interference.
⑥ When the door is opened or closed, the app will push low battery, replace the battery as soon as possible.
⑦ The detection distance is ≤8 meters, and the emission distance is ≤80 meters (without obstacles). Please test after installation, and the distance of different obstacles will be different.

Maintenance

System Inspection:
The system need the periodic inspection to ensure the stable and safe work. We suggest the users inspect the system per three months and inspect the detectors per month.
Alarm Host Inspection：
① Check whether the host can arm or disarm normally.
② Check whether the host can call through the phone numbers when alarm occurs.
③ Check whether the host can receive the signals from detectors normally and the back-up battery work normally or not.
Detector Inspection:
① Trigger the detector by hand to check whether it can send the alarm signal successfully.
② Check the battery of each detector to see whether it is short of voltage.
Cautions:
① Do not dissemble, repair, transform the product privately, or it will cause fault or accident.
② Do not fall the product on the hard ground to avoid the fault or damage because of the strong crash.
③ Do not set “ 911” or any other security departments’ telephone numbers as the alarming phone numbers without any authorization.
