Troubleshooting

FAQ:

1. Q: I hooked up shore power, but on the screen it shows ACabnormal

2. Q: The inverter charger doesn’t charge the batteries.

A: If you switched SW5 to 0 (utility priority mode), please make sure that thefollowing settings are correct: 1. Please switch SW2 to 1 (if you connect to generator) and SW4 to1(if 60HZ); 2. Please choose the switch setting of battery type selector according toyour battery type and do not choose 0. The charge current can be adjustedfrom0%-100% via a liner switch at the right of the battery type selector, pleasemake sure it is not 0%. If you switched SW5 to 1 (battery priority mode), and if the battery voltageishigh/sufficient, the inverter cannot be transferred to the mains for charging, sothe battery is not charged. It won’t transferred to the shore power to chargethebattery until the battery voltage is low

3. Q:I hook up shore power and all setting are correct, but

LCDdisplayshows AC input 0V, cannot charge the battery

A: It seems the inverter cannot detect the AC input, please use multimeter tomeasure the voltage at AC input terminal of inverter and make sure theACinput voltage is qualified because some models (single phase model) onlycan accept AC 120V input, other models (split phase model) only can accept AC240V input.

4. Q:What’s the battery priority?

A: In battery priority mode (SW5 to 1), the inverter will get power fromthebattery despite the AC input being present. Only when the battery voltagereaches the low voltage alarm point, the inverter will switch to shore power tocharge the battery, and switch back to the battery when the battery is chargedfully

5. Q: What’s AC priority mode?

A: If you choose AC priority mode (SW5 to 0), the inverter will supply power tothe loads from AC and charge the battery from AC if the AC input is available. The inverter will switch to battery in the event of AC power failure. Oncethegrid or generator restores power, the inverter will transfer to grid and rechargethe battery.

6. Q: How to adjust the low alarm voltage and shut off voltage?

A: The low alarm voltage and shut off voltage depend on the type of batteryand SW1 setting you choose. Please check below picture for DC12Vfor reference (2 for 24V, 4 for 48V). LFP 2KW-6KW:

LFP 2KW-6KW:

battery
type| 1| 3| 4| 6| | 0| 0
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---
alarm| shut off| alarm| shut off| alarm| shut off| alarm| shut off| alarm| shut off| alarm| shut off

Except for the alarm voltage and shut off voltage of the above gears, the alarm and shut off voltages of other gears arethe same as the #1 gear’ s.

For LFPV 10KW – 18KW:

---|---|---|---|---
alarm| shut off| alarm| shut off| alarm| shut off| alarm| shut off
SW 1. (1)| 44. OV| 42V| 50V| 48V| 46V| 44V| 50V| 48V
SW4. (0)| 42V| 40V| 48V| 46V| 44V| 42V| 48V| 46V
Except for the alarm voltage and shut off voltage of the above gears, the alarm andshut off voltages of other gears are the same as the #1 gear’s.

7. Q: The inverter doesn’t supply output

A: If you switch SW3 to 0, and turn on the inverter under

8. Q: The inverter doesn’t turn on at all, LCD display is not on

andLEDlights are not lit.

A: The inverter cannot turn on without battery, so please make suretheinverter is connected to required DC battery, and use multimeter to measurethe voltage at the battery terminal of inverter to double confirmthe inverter candetect the qualified voltage.

9. Q: How to connect to BTS cable?

A:please put one side to the bts port of the inverter and the other side canbeplaced on the surface of the battery. The other side just touch the surfaceof the battery is ok. You can also tape the other side to the battery so it staysonthe surface .

10. Q: How to reset GFCI?

A: The Reset key can only be pushed when the light of the GFCI switch is longon ( need to turn on the inverter first and has output). Reset key is unabletobepushed when the GFCI light is flashing.

11. Q: How to set the battery type selector?

A: Which battery type you should choose depends on your battery's absorbcharging voltage /fast charging voltage and float charging voltage. So pleasecheck your battery's absorb charging voltage and choose the battery typewith the closest voltage.

12. Q: The LCD remote control can turn on the inverter, but

LCDremotedisplays shows AC input 0V, output 0v, 0HZ etc.

A: Please try to replace a Network cable / LAN cable to the LCD remote control and try again.

13. Q: Do you have any suggestions for the Generator?

A: Our inverter is pure sine wave inverter, so please choose pure sinewavegenerator. And the power of generator need to be more than 1.5 times of theinverter. The generator needs to have automatic start function so that theinverter can automatically start the generator, otherwise it need manual operation. If you use Generator as your only AC input, please switch SW2 to 1

14. Q:I don’t have AC input, only have PV power, what should I set?

A: Please switch SW5 to 1 (Battery priority )

15. Q: What’s the fans operation logic of the inverter?

A: For 1-3KW, 4KW 24V/48V there is only 1 DC fan; For 4KW12Vand6KW, there is 2 fans, one is DC fan at the battery terminal side, another is ACfanat the AC input and output terminal side. For the AC fan, the AC fan will runs once there’s AC output, but when in Power saver mode, the AC fan will work from time to time in respond to thepulsesent by the inverter. About DC fan, the operation of the DC fan is controlled by the Heat sinktemperature, Charger current and Load %, please check the following logic

16. Q: Battery cable recommendation.

A: It is suggested the battery bank be kept as close as possible to the inverter. The following able is a suggested wiring option for 3 meter DC cable. Please find the following minimum wire size. In case of DC cable longer than3m, please increase the cross section of cable to reduce the loss.

Power DC Input voltage Wire Gage
IKW 12V AWG 1/0
IKW 24V AWG 4
1.5KW 24V AWG 1/0

3KW 12V AWG 4/0
3KW 24V AWG 1/0
4KW 48V AWG 4
4KW 24V AWG 1/0
5KW 48V AWG 1/0
5KW 24V AWG 4/0
6KW 24V AWG 4/0
6KW 48V AWG 1/0

17. Q: What is the max AC output of the inverter?

A: If it is single phase, for example 3KW single phase inverter, the AC output power is 3000W, L1-N=120V; It is not suggested to connect big load to GFCI; If it is split-phase, for example 4KW split phase inverter, the AC output power is4000W, L1-L2=240V; 2000W, L1-N=120V, 2000W, L2-N=120V; The power size of GFCI is 2000W,L1-N=120V

18. Q: Why the output frequency showed 50HZ?

A: If it is in utility mode(bypass mode), the frequency of the AC output is alsothe mapping of the frequency of the AC input, so the frequency of the ACinput is 50hz, then the frequency of the AC output is 50hz; the frequency of theACinput is 60hz, then the frequency of the AC output is 60hz; regardlessof whether SW4 is selecting 1 or 0. In the battery mode(inverter mode), the frequency of the output is determinedby the selection of SW4. When SW4 is set to 1, the output frequency is 60HZ; when SW4 is set to 0, the output frequency is 50HZ.
