Product Usage Instructions

Battery Priority Mode:

In battery priority mode (SW5 set to 1), the inverter will draw power from the battery instead of the AC input. The battery will be charged using shore power only when its voltage reaches the low voltage alarm point. Once the battery is fully charged, the inverter will switch back to using the battery for power.

AC Priority Mode:

If you choose AC priority mode (SW5 set to 0), the inverter will supply power to the loads from AC source and charge the battery using AC input if available. In case of AC power failure, the inverter will switch to battery power. When the grid or generator restores power, the inverter will transfer to grid power and recharge the battery.

Adjusting Low Alarm Voltage and Shut Off Voltage:

The low alarm voltage and shut off voltage settings depend on the battery type and SW1 setting. Please refer to the user manual or check the provided picture for reference.

Troubleshooting:

Issue: LCD display shows AC input 0V, cannot charge the battery.

Possible Solution: Use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the AC input terminal of the inverter. Ensure that the AC input voltage is within the qualified range. Some models only accept AC 120V input (single phase model), while others accept AC 240V input (split phase model).

Issue: Inverter doesn’t supply output.

Possible Solution: If SW3 is set to 0 and the inverter is turned on under Power Saver Auto mode, there will be no output. To enable output, turn on the inverter under Power Saver Off mode. If you want to use Power Saver Auto mode, switch SW3 to 1 and run a load of more than 500W to ensure the inverter detects it and provides output.

Issue: Inverter doesn’t turn on at all, LCD display is not on and LED lights are not lit.

Possible Solution: Ensure that the inverter is connected to a DC battery. Use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the battery terminal of the inverter to confirm that it detects the qualified voltage.

Issue: How to connect to BTS cable?

Solution: Connect one side of the BTS cable to the BTS port of the inverter. Place the other side on the surface of the battery,ensuring it touches the surface. You can also tape the other side to the battery to secure it in place.

Issue: How to reset GFCI?

Solution: The Reset key can only be pushed when the light of the GFCI switch is continuously on (after turning on the inverter and when it has output). The Reset key cannot be pushed when the GFCI light is flashing.

Troubleshooting

Q: I hooked up shore power, but on the screen it shows AC abnormal.
A: If the screen displays “AC abnormal”, it may caused by three reasons:

  1. The inverter connect to shore power / generator, but the AC input doesn’t in the range which the inverter can be acceptable.
    Please use the multimeter to measure the AC input voltage at the AC input terminal of inverter and check if in the range.

  2. If not connect to the shore power, it will displays “AC abnormal” when the inverter operate under the inverter mode.

  3. In battery priority mode, if there is a AC input when the battery power is sufficient, the AC mains voltage can also be detected, but the display will still show “AC abnormal”.
    If it falls into these three situations, it is normal, because this is what our software’s set up. Thanks.

Q: The inverter charger doesn’t charge the batteries.
A: If you switched SW5 to 0 (utility priority mode), please make sure that the following settings are correct:

  1. Please switch SW2 to 1 (if you connect to generator) and SW4 to 1 (if 60HZ);
  2. Please choose the switch setting of battery type selector according to your battery type and do not choose 0. The charge current can be adjusted from 0%-100% via a liner switch at the right of the battery type selector, please make sure it is not 0%.

If you switched SW5 to 1 (battery priority mode), and if the battery voltage is high/sufficient, the inverter cannot be transferred to the mains for charging, so the battery is not charged. It won’t transferred to the shore power to charge the battery until the battery voltage is low.

Q:I hook up shore power and all setting are correct, but LCD display shows AC input 0V, cannot charge the battery.
A: It seems the inverter cannot detect the AC input, please use multimeter to measure the voltage at AC input terminal of inverter and make sure the AC input voltage is qualified because some models (single phase model) only can accept AC 120V input, other models (split phase model) only can accept AC 240V input.

Q:What’s the battery priority?
A: In battery priority mode (SW5 to 1), the inverter will get power from the battery despite the AC input being present. Only when the battery voltage reaches the low voltage alarm point, the inverter will switch to shore power to charge the battery, and switch back to the battery when the battery is charged fully.

Q: What’s AC priority mode?
A: If you choose AC priority mode (SW5 to 0), the inverter will supply power to the loads from AC and charge the battery from AC if the AC input is available. The inverter will switch to battery in the event of AC power failure. Once the grid or generator restores power, the inverter will transfer to grid and recharge the battery.

Q: How to adjust the low alarm voltage and shut off voltage?
A: The low alarm voltage and shut off voltage depend on the type of battery and SW1 setting you choose. Please check below picture for DC 12V for reference (2 for 24V, 4 for 48V).

Q: The inverter doesn’t supply output.
A: If you switch SW3 to 0, and turn on the inverter under ” Power saver auto”, it means 100% power saver, there is no output.

Please turn on the inverter under ” power saver off” mode and try again.
If you just want to turn on the inverter under ” power saver auto” mode, then please switch SW3 to 1, and run a big loads, like more than about 500W and check again. If you run a small load, inverter cannot detect it, it will also has no output.

Q: The inverter doesn’t turn on at all, LCD display is not on and LED lights are not lit.
A: The inverter cannot turn on without battery, so please make sure the inverter is connected to required DC battery, and use multimeter to measure the voltage at the battery terminal of inverter to double confirm the inverter can detect the qualified voltage.

Q: How to connect to BTS cable?
A:please put one side to the bts port of the inverter and the other side can be placed on the surface of the battery. The other side just touch the surface of the battery is ok. You can also tape the other side to the battery so it stays on the surface .

Q: How to reset GFCI?
A: The Reset key can only be pushed when the light of the GFCI switch is long on ( need to turn on the inverter first and has output). Reset key is unable to be pushed when the GFCI light is flashing.

Q: How to set the battery type selector?
A: Which battery type you should choose depends on your battery’s absorb charging voltage /fast charging voltage and float charging voltage. So please check your battery’s absorb charging voltage and choose the battery type with the closest voltage.

Q: The LCD remote control can turn on the inverter, but LCD remote displays shows AC input 0V, output 0v, 0HZ etc..
A: Please try to replace a Network cable / LAN cable to the LCD remote control and try again.

Q: Do you have any suggestions for the Generator?
A: Our inverter is pure sine wave inverter, so please choose pure sine wave generator. And the power of generator need to be more than 1.5 times of the inverter. The generator needs to have automatic start function so that the inverter can automatically start the generator, otherwise it need manual operation.
If you use Generator as your only AC input, please switch SW2 to 1.

Q: I don’t have AC input, only have PV power, what should I set?
A: Please switch SW5 to 1 (Battery priority ).

Q: What’s the fans operation logic of the inverter?
A: For 1-3KW, 4KW 24V/48V there is only 1 DC fan; For 4KW 12V and 6KW , there is 2 fans, one is DC fan at the battery terminal side, another is AC fan at the AC input and output terminal side.
For the AC fan, the AC fan will runs once there’s AC output, but when in Power saver mode, the AC fan will work from time to time in respond to the pulse sent by the inverter.
About DC fan, the operation of the DC fan is controlled by the Heat sink temperature, Charger current and Load %, please check the following logic.

Q: What is the max AC output of the inverter?
A: If it is single phase, for example 3KW single phase inverter, the AC output power is 3000W, L1-N=120V;
It is not suggested to connect big load to GFCI;
If it is split-phase, for example 4KW split phase inverter, the AC output power is

  • 4000W, L1-L2=240V;
  • 2000W, L1-N=120V,
  • 2000W, L2-N=120V;

The power size of GFCI is 2000W,L1-N=120V

Q: Why the output frequency showed 50HZ?
A: If it is in utility mode(bypass mode), the frequency of the AC output is also the mapping of the frequency of the AC input, so the frequency of the AC input is 50hz, then the frequency of the AC output is 50hz; the frequency of the AC input is 60hz, then the frequency of the AC output is 60hz; regardless of whether SW4 is selecting 1 or 0.
In the battery mode(inverter mode), the frequency of the output is determined by the selection of SW4. When SW4 is set to 1, the output frequency is 60HZ; when SW4 is set to 0, the output frequency is 50HZ.
