your Wi-Fi network, you can control the watering schedule remotely. Follow
these steps:
- Ensure your phone has an internet connection.
- Open the app and select the water timer.
- Adjust the watering schedule as desired.
Note: If you are out of town, you can also turn on the rain delay feature through the app.

device, you can control it using voice commands. Follow these steps:
- Ensure your Alexa device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the timer.
- Use the following commands: “Alexa, turn on [device name]” or “Alexa, turn off [device name]”.
- You can edit the device name in the app.
Troubleshooting Bluetooth Range
If you are unable to manually control the water timer or set/delete
schedules unless you are within Bluetooth range, follow these steps:
- Ensure the valve controller is added to the app under the Gateway portal.
- If you have connected the valve controller with Bluetooth instead of the home network, note that you can only control it within Bluetooth signal range.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
-
Q: What is the maximum number of watering timers that can be connected to one Wi-Fi hub?
A: A maximum of three devices can be linked to the app via Bluetooth. If you connect through a Wi-Fi gateway, there is no limit on the number. It is no problem to connect dozens of devices normally, but it also depends on the strength of the network signal. -
Q: How does the Wi-Fi hub connect to the timer? Is there a distance limit between the timer and Wi-Fi hub?
A: The timer itself has only Bluetooth. The hub bridges the timer with your Wi-Fi. The distance between the timer and the Wi-Fi hub can reach 49.2 feet in the open area (without interference). If there are walls, iron gates, or bushes blocking, you need to shorten the distance between them to better receive the Wi-Fi signal. -
Q: Can I remote control the water timer when on holiday?
A: Yes. It’s a Wi-Fi Water Timer. Once you add the Wi-Fi hub and water timer in your app, you can freely control your watering schedule anytime anywhere as long as your phone has internet. If you are out of town, you also can turn on the rain delay. -
Q: Will this Wi-Fi hose timer perform the set watering schedule properly in the event of an Internet, network, or power failure?
A: Yes. As long as the timer battery is powered, the timer will run according to the watering plan that has been set when the network is connected, even if the network connection is lost. However, network-based smart functions such as smart watering based on network weather forecasts will not be able to be executed in a network disconnected state. -
Q: If the Smart Sprinkler timer connected to my Alexa device successfully, how to use Alexa command it?
A: When you work with Alexa. Please use the following command as below: “Alexa, turn on [device name]” or “Alexa, turn off [device name]”. There is a default name of the device. You can edit the device name by yourself. And if you use the incorrect command, it will not work.
Warm Tips
- Only supported 2.4G Wi-Fi.
- The best range between the smart water timer and Wi-Fi hub is within 49.2ft in the open area.
- To prevent leakage, make sure that the water timer is tightly attached to the faucet and hose, add rubber washer and thread seal tape if necessary.
- When the power is low, please replace the power unit in time. When replacing the power unit, please make sure that the water timer is dry.
- Do not leave it outside in the winter without a special cover.
- Do not place the timer in an underground valve box or anywhere your Bluetooth signal will be obstructed.
FAQ
Q: Why my Wi-Fi hub will not enter a pairing mode?
Please kindly check the following ways: 1. Have you turned on the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your phone when connecting? 2. Please plug the gateway to an outlet that is closer to the router and the water timer, and then try again. 3. If your Wi-Fi network simultaneously broadcasts at 2.4 and 5 GHz there will be a probability of pairing failure. You need to change the Wi-Fi network to 2.4G. 4. Your phone should be connected to the 2.4G Wi-Fi rather than 5G Wi-Fi when you are connecting the gateway. 5. The location permissions on your phone should be turned on when pairing. However, after pairing, you should turn off the Bluetooth NOTE: Once there is no means to isolate the 2.4ghz band. One workaround for this is to do the initial setup of the device by first walking far enough away with your phone to get it to drop back from 5GHz to 2.4GHz and initiate the setup from there. Once it has been set up, it should continue working just fine after your phone returns to the 5GHz band.
Q: Why does Bluetooth keep dropping connection?
1. The Bluetooth of the water timer is currently in sleep mode, please wait 5-10 seconds, and the device will automatically reconnect. Or scroll down to refresh the home page of the APP, or disconnect the Bluetooth from your phone and turn it on again. 2. If the device has been connected by other mobile phones, please disconnect first. 3. Make sure the battery is fully charged and place the phone as close to the device as possible. 4. Please note that you don't need to stay connected once you set up your schedule. The device will always keep your watering settings and work automatically according to the schedule.

Q: Why is the gateway control delayed?
A: 1. The distance between the device and the gateway is too far 2. The Wi Fi signal is not good. These two reasons will lead to the fact that the command from the APP panel cannot be given to the valve, so the valve cannot be close
-
Q: I have added the timer to the hub, but I am unable to manually turn on/off the timer or set/delete schedules unless I am within Bluetooth range of the timer?
A: lead you are not be able to control the water timer while you are not within the Bluetooth signal range. -
Basically, the valve controller is a Bluetooth unit and it uses the gateway module to connect it to the home network. You must add the Gateway first into the apps, then add the valve controller under the Gateway portal, as seen in my screen capture
-
Otherwise, you could have connected the valve controller with Bluetooth instead of the home Network. If you add the valve controller into the smart life apps with Bluetooth, you will not be able to control the valve controller while you are not within the Bluetooth signal range.
Tips on Installation
- The valve controller is a blue tooth unit. One Gateway hub can connect multiple Bluetooth units.
- The Bluetooth signal coverage within 49.2ft without interference
