GM9053 Infrared Thermometer

Eventek GM9053 Infrared Thermometer

Model :GM9050E

Introduction

The infrared thermomelar determines he surface temperature of the object by measuring the infrared energy radiated from the surface of the object
‘This machine is composed of optical system, photoelectric sensor, signal ampifer, signal processing reel and LCD display. The optical system gathers the infrared energy radiated from the surface of the object (0 the photoslecirc sensor, and  the photoslecirc sensor converts the sneery no a corresponding electrical signal, which s converted into a reading and displayed on the LCD through the signal airmiles an signal pro-busing Grout.

Safety Instructions

  1. Warning:
To avoid possible injury to the user, follow these guidelines:
    • When using this unit, please do not aim the laser directly at the eyes or indirectly through reflective surfaces.
    • This instrument cannot measure through transparent surfaces.
For example: when measuring the temperature of water in a glass bottle, you must measure directly at the water surface o get the correct temperature. Otherwise, the value measured by this instrument will be the surface temperature of the glass botte.
    • Vaporidustismoke or other pariciesil abstract the lens of the instrument and affect the accuracy of the measurement

  2. Note:
To avoid damage to the thermometer or device under test, protect them from the following: Do not place the thermometer directly near o on a opt object.
    • Keep away from electromagnetic Felds generated by arc welding machines and induction heaters, etc
    • When the ambient temperature changes greatly, wait for 30 minutes to make the thermometer reach a stable state before use. Such as: sudden changes in ambient temperature caused  by entering and leaving the cold storage.

Object distance ratio D:S

  1. When using this machine to measure temperature, pay attention to the ratio between the distance and the size of the measurement area (referred to as the object distance ratio). When the distance between the machine and the object to be measured increases, the measurement area will also increase accordingly.
‘The object-to-object ratio of this thermometer is 12:1 (as shown in Figure 1)
**This machine is equipped with a positioning laser for aiming at the surface of the object to be measured

  2. Observation range: Make sure that the measured target is larger than the measurement area of the machine. When the  measured target is smaller, the distance to the measured target should be closer. When accurate measurement i required, it is necessary to ensure that the measured target is at least twice as large as the measurement area.

Emissivity

Most organic materials and paint or oxidized materials have an emissivity of 0.95 (preset in this unit), and the emissivity reference Values of other materials are shown in the table below.

Material Emissivity Materia Emissivity
Aluminum 0.3 Laron 0.7
Asbestos 0.95 Lead 0.5
Asphalt 0.95 Limestone 0.98
Basalt 0.7 Oil 0.94
Brass 0.5 Paint 0.93
Brick 0.9 Paper 0.95
Carbon 0.85 Plastic 0.95
Ceramic 0.95 Rubber 0.95
Concrete 0.95 Sand 0.9
Copper 0.95 Skin 0.98
Dirt 0.94 Snow 0.9
Frozen food 0.9 Steel 0.8
Hot food 0.93 Textiles 0.94
Glass (plate) 0.85 Water 0.93
Ice 0.98 Wood 0.94

Operation Instructions

  1. Quick measurement
    (1) Open the battery door and install 2 1.5VAAA batteries;
    (2) Pull the tiger to start the machine;
    (3) Aim at the surface of the object to be measured by positioning the laser (if the aster positioning is not required, t can be timed off). Pull the rigger and the target temperature will be displayed on the LCD. Afar releasing the  trigger, the temperature will remain displayed on the LCD.

  2. High temperature point positioning:
Press and hold the switch button (as shown in Figure 3), and at the same time move the laser point of the thermometer slowly up and down to scan and locate.

LCD display and key function

  1. LCD display: as shown in Figure 4
    A Data retention symbol
    B. Read data symbols
    C. Low battery indicator
    D. Buzzer switch symbol
    E. Positioning laser tum on indication
    F. Minimum Notation G. Maximum symbol
    H. Emissivity Symbol
    1. Selfcalibration symbols
    J. Temperature Measurement Unit Symbol
    K. Temperature measurement reading

  2. Button function: as shown in Figure 5 (1) Trigger: Pull he trigger o display the temperature value, “SCAN” will b displayed at the same time, when released, it will display “HOLD*” and the temperature, automatically keep the data, and automatically shut down for about 7  seconds without any operation.
    (2) Celsius temperature and Fahrenheit temperature changeover switch, which can be used as a lowering function in EMS setting ‘mode, and long press can quickly reduce the value.
    (3) Mode swish: Press the MODE button to swish the mode, followed by MAX-MIN- EMS-CAL
2.MAX: The maximum value of the measurement data
    b. MIN: The minimum value of the measurement data
c EMS: Emissivity can be set between 0.10~1.00 by C/F key and positioning laser key.
    d CAL: temperature data calibration
Note: The MAXIMIN value is only the MAXIMIN value of a single measurement. When you need to check the MAXIMIN value, release the trigger, press the MODE button to switch to the MAXIMIN value, and you can check the MAXIMIN value of the measurement.
    (4) Position the laser transfer switch. In EMS setting mode, it can be used as an up function and a long press can quickly increase the value,
    (5) Long press the positioning laser switch for about 25 on the measurement interface to tum off or turn on the buzzer sound (The default setting is on).

product maintenance

  1. Lens cleaning: Use clean compressed a if to blow off debris, then use camel hair to wipe off the remaining tiny debris, and finally wipe the surface carefully with a damp cotton cloth.
  2. Shell cleaning: Take a damp sponge or soft cloth to clean with s0ap and water.
    Note:
  1. Do ot use any solvent to clean this plastic lens.
  2. Never immerse the thermometer in water
