eventek ENGINDOT DC Power Supply Variable

Description of operation

Operating characteristics

  1. There are two DC power supply output modes: constant voltage(CV) and constant current(CC). The voltage value/current value of the power supply output will not exceed the set voltage or current.
  2. In CV mode, the CV indicator lights up and the voltage is constant. The current varies with load and voltage settings. If the output current increases due to a decrease in the load resistance value (l=V/R), the power supply will automatically switch to CC mode when the current increases to ≥ the current setting value.
  3. In CC mode, the CC indicator lights up and the current is constant. When the resistance value continues to decrease, the current will remain at the current setting value and the voltage will decrease proportionally (V=l” R). At this point, the power supply can be restored to CV output by increasing the load or raising the current setting.

Operation method

  1. To ensure safety, make sure the current and voltage knobs are turned to the counterclockwise end before switching on.
  2. Connect the output cable to the positive and negative terminals and plug in the power supply, press the switch in the middle of the front panel.
  3. Turn the A-COARSE knob clockwise by approximately 90°, at this point switch from CC mode to CV mode and turn the voltage adjustment knob to set the voltage to 5V.
  4. Short the positive and negative terminals, then change to CC mode and set the output current by turning the current adjustment knob.
  5. Connect the positive and negative terminals to the load.

Example: How to set the voltage and current to 6V and 5A respectively?

  1. Turn the power switch on by turning the knob counterclockwise to the end before switching on.
  2. Turn the A-COARSE knob about 90° clockwise to CV mode and turn the voltage knob to 6V.
  3. Connect the positive and negative terminals of the output line and turn the current knob to set the current to 5A.
  4. Disconnect the positive and negative terminals of the output line and connect the load to use.
