Important to Know:
- If you are not familiar with state and local electrical codes, it is recommended that you consult with a qualified electrician.
- This fixture requires a 100-130 VAC,60 Hz power source.
- For general safety and to avoid any possible damage to the sensor, be sure the power is switched “off” before adjustment.
Maximum Wattage : 28W
Working Temperature Range : – 2o·c … 45’C
Features:
- Energy saving LED fixture.
- Motion sensor: tum light ON automatically when motion is detected and tums light OFF automatically when motion stops.
- Photocell keeps the light OFF during daylight hours.
Note : Fixture can be wall mounted or eave mounted.
Read notes section on page for additional information about mounting location of fixture. Light fixture and sensor should be mounted as shown above when installed (depending upon type of installation) Before installing the light fixture under an eave, the sensor head must be rotated as shown in the next two steps for proper operation and to avoid the risk of electrical shock.
For eave mounted only:
Installation Steps
Take apart the back plate from the lamp body.
-
Turn off power to the work area at the circuit breaker main or fuse box.
Note : do not rely on the wall switch turns off the power. -
The Yellow&Green- Earth Wire (Ground Wire) is fixed to the aluminum mounting strap. Fix the aluminum mounting strap to the outlet box.
-
Fix the gasket to the outlet box. Pull out the source wires from the outlet box. Make wire connections using wire nuts as follows:
- Black – Live Wire (Hot Wire)
- White – Neutral Wire (Naughty Wire)
- Green to Ground wire
Carefully tuck the wires back into the outlet box. Fix the Back Plate to the mounting strap.
-
Fix the lamp body to the Back Plate, use the fixture mounting screw(longest), put on the white decorative cover after fix the lamp body. Turn on power to test the light in TEST mode.
CAUTION : Ba sure to caulk completely where the back plate meets the wall
surface to prevent water from seeping Into the outlet box.
Turn on the power at fuse or circuit box.
Adjusting the Sensor Head:
-
Aim sensor head toward desired detection area, maintaining a 5″ – 40″ downward angle to allow moisture to drain.
Note : Make sure sensor head is positioned with controls facing toward the ground. -
You can move the sensor head up and down to change the coverage area. (See Fig. 1)
Note : Range set too high may increase false triggering. (See Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 }
Function and Operation
Choose a mode by sliding the switch on the bottom of the sensor of the
fixture. ( See Fig 4)
Note : When power is first applied , the light will turn on immediately.
Wait for 30 seconds to allow the sensorto warm up.
- TEST MODE (daytime and nightime operation.)
- Rotate Time knob arrow on the bottom of the sensor head to the “TEST” position .
- When slide the mode selector to“AUTO”or“OFF”or“6H”or“PC”, the light turns to low-level brightness automatically. It turns to high-level brightness when motion is detected, and stay on as long as the motion continues. Then switches back to low-level brightness about 5 seconds after motion is no longer detected.
- AUTO MODE (nighttime operation only)
- To shift to the“AUTO” mode, slide switch to“AUTO” position, and rotate Time knob arrow to the desired time setting (between 5 seconds and 3 minutes). At dusk, the light turns to low-level brightness automatically,it turns to high-level brightness when motion is detected, and stays on as long as motion continues. When the motion is no longer detected, it remains on for the predetermined shut-off delay time you set (5s ~ 3min), and then turn to low-level brightness.
- The light turns off automatically at dawn.
- OFF MODE (nighttime operation only)
- To shift to the“OFF”mode, slide the switch to“OFF” position, and rotate Time knob arrow to the desired time setting (between 5 seconds and 3 minutes). At dusk, the light stays off, the light turns to high-level brightness when motion is detected, and stays on as long as motion continues. When the motion is no longer detected, it remains on for the predetermined shut-off delay time you set (5s ~ 3min), and then turns off automatically.
- The light turns off automatically at dawn.
HOUR MODE (nighttime operation only)
- To shift to the“6H”mode, slide the switch to“6H”position, and rotate Time knob arrow to the desired time setting (between 5 seconds and 3 minutes). At dusk, the light turns to high-level brightness automatically, and stays on for 6 hours, then it turns to low-level brightness. It turns to high-level brightness when motion is detected, and stays on as long as motion continues. When motion is no longer detected, it remains on for the predetermined shut-off delay time you set(5s~ -3min), and then returns to the low-level brightness automatically.
- The light turns off automatically at dawn.
PHOTOCELL (PC) MODE (nighttime operation only)
- The light turns on to high-level brightness at dusk and remains on until dawn.
Warm Tips:
- To make sure the above functions operate properly, please always keep the wall switch in the “ON” position (including in the daytime)
- The product has memory function, will work every time as your last setting. If you want to change to other mode, please power off, and then setting to other mode.
AUTO OFF 8H PC
- The sensitivity of the motion sensor will increase as the environmental temperature gets cooler. For best perfonnanoe, gently clean the lens with a soft cloth every 1 or 2 months to ensure maximum sensitMty.
- For best performance, Install fixture at least 8 feet above the ground. At such a height, the fixture wfll provide a detection distance of up to 70 feet at 77 degrees Fahrenheit. (See Fig. )
- The sensor detects movement across a detection range of 180 degrees. (See Fig. )
- The sensor will be more sensitive to motion aaoss its detection path than motion directly towards it. {See Fig. }
- To reduce possible nuisances, do not mount the fixture near a heat source like an air conditioner, vent or fumaoe exhaust, or in a direction facing any reflective object or other nearby light source.
Product Description
Troubleshooting:
- The light does not come on at all:
- Make sure the wall switch and circuit breaker are on.
- Make sure the wiring is correct.
- Cover the sensor with dark color cloth to verify that the ambient light level is not too high.
- The light comes on for no apparent reason:
- Re-aim the motion sensor.
- Decrease the sensitivity setting.
- Do not use a dimmer or timer to control the light fixture. Replace the dimmer or timer with a standard on/off wall switch.
- The light flashes on and off:
