Prepare Site

To ensure best adhesion:

• Clip body hair – do not shave.
• Clean area with soap and water – dry thoroughly.

Apply – 1.0 ml of medication to one electrode. Be sure to check polarity of medication being used for appropriate pad placement.

Start at the center of the pad and fill outward towards the edge leaving ~3 mm unfilled around the perimeter of the pad. This will keep liquid from coming into contact with the adhesive layer and compromising adhesion to the skin. Fill the opposite electrode with ~1 ml of the saline that is provided. Discard unused saline.

Place Patch

The Fab StimⓇ Patch should be applied to allow for full range of motion. Position joints (shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees) midway through the full range of motion to permit full movement.

Apply patch to desired location with the active pad containing the medication placed directly over desired treatment area. Pad placement will be dependent upon whether medication used is positively or negatively charged.

Secure patch by running finger around the perimeter of the outer adhesive ring. Once the patch has been fully applied, you can then press down to secure the entire patch. The patch may be taped over or wrapped for extra adhesion in high-motion areas. Ensure reinforcement is not too tight, as it can affect circulation and restrict movement.

Remove Patch

Do not pull patch off while dry. Moisten patch with soap and water to help remove the adhesive. Potential side effects to iontophoresis include skin irritation and redness around application site. You can use moisturizing lotion on the treated area following patch removal. Allow a minimum of 24 hours between FabStimⓇ Patch applications on the treated area. If you are experiencing any discomfort or pain with the iontophoresis application, remove patch and notify your healthcare professional.
