How to Use the Camera

The camera can be used by following these steps:

  1. Connect the BNC cable to the DVR and power supply.
  2. Connect the other end of the BNC cable to the camera’s 2 ports.
  3. No additional power supply is required for the camera.

Troubleshooting

If the camera is not showing an image in the DVR, please follow these steps to identify and resolve the issue:

  1. Check Power and Camera:
    • Plug in the adapter and cover the sensor to check if the red LEDs light up.
    • If the red LEDs light up, the power and camera are functioning properly.
    • If the red LEDs do not light up, there may be a problem with the camera or power supply.
    • Try using a different adapter to determine if the issue is with the camera or adapter.
  2. Check DVR’s Channel Type:
    • Ensure that the DVR supports 2MP (1080P) analog cameras.
    • Select the appropriate channel type in the DVR settings. For example, if using channel type 1, it should support local cameras with a maximum resolution of 1080P and up to 8 cameras.
  3. Check Preview Signal in DVR:
    • If the image appears black and white even during the daytime, check the preview signal in the DVR.
    • Select either AHD or TVI as the signal type for this camera’s channel.
    • For example, if the camera is connected to channel port 1, change the signal of camera 1 to AHD or TVI.
    • Wait for 1-3 minutes for the changes to take effect.
    • Most DVRs can automatically detect and adjust the signal type based on the connected camera.

How to use the camera:
The BNC cable has 4 ports, 2 ports on each side: one side is connected to the DVR and power supply, another side is connected to the camera’s 2 ports, no need power supply for the camera seperately.

Trouble shooting

Camera is Plug and Play, if it can’t show image in the DVR, pls follow below steps to check the reason:

  1. Check Power and Camera: plug the adapter and cover the sensor to check,
    If the red LEDs light up, the power and camera is no problem.
    If the red LEDs can’t light up, the problem should be in the camera or power.
    Pls change an adapter to check the problem is in the camera or adapter.

  2. if red LEDs light up, but no image in the DVR, pls Check the DVR’s channeltype, it should supports 2MP(1080P) analog camera .
    For example as below,select channeltype 1:it supports Local camera(Local is Analog) max 1080P :8pcs

  3. if the image is B/W only even at daytime, pls Check the preview signal in the DVR, select AHD or TVI at this camera’s channel.
    For example as below:
    We connect this camera to the DVR at channel port 1, the image is not right, we can change the signal of camera 1 into AHD or TVI, wait for 1-3 minutes, the problem is solved. Most DVR can auto change the signal type according to the camera’s type.

Warranty

Full warranty of 1 year & Life-time tech support:
if the camera is broken in 1 year, message us to get a new one for free (pls shot a video to show the problem is in the camera by cover the sensor, the red LEDs can’t light up, and the adapter is no problem)
if the camera can work, but the image result is not good enough, pls message us to get assistance,if the problem is in the camera, we will resend a new one(the order should be in 1 year warranty)
