Architectural and Engineering Specifications

The Yamaha VKE2015 Speaker System shall be a two-way bass-reflex type full- range loudspeaker system having a single 15″ cone driver for the low frequencies and a 1.4″ compression driver for the high frequencies. The VKE2015 Loudspeaker shall meet the following performance criteria: Sensitivity shall be 98 dB SPL at 1 watt/1 meter, maximum SPL shall be 129 dB at 1 meter, frequency response shall be 55 Hz to 20 kHz at 10 dB below rated sensitivity, crossover frequency shall be 2.2 kHz, and nominal coverage angle shall be 70° horizontal and 100° vertical. Maximum power ratings shall be 350 watts noise, 700 watts program, and 1400 watts peak into 8 ohms. Power limiting shall be provided to protect the high-frequency driver.
The loudspeaker shall have one SPEAKON (Neutrik NL4MP) connector for input. The cabinet shall be constructed of plywood with a black polyurethane finish. The grille shall be black powder-coated punched metal with black backing cloth. The cabinet shall have two threaded mounting points for M10 eyebolts on the top, and two on each side. A 35 mm pole socket shall be provided for pole mounting. Dimensions shall be 431 (W) x 700 (H) x 456 (D) mm. Weight shall be 24.5 kg.
