Important Safeguards:

• Before connecting the cooktop, check whether the voltage at the bottom corresponds to your local voltage.

• Use pots or pans with a flat base.
• The measurement of the cookware should be smaller than the measurement of the hot plate.

USING YOUR ELECTRIC COOKTOP

1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Wipe the cooktop and its base with a soft, damp cloth,and wipe dry.
3. Ensure that it is on a dry, level, and heat-resistant surface.
4. Allow enough space (4-6 inches) from other appliances and furniture to allow heat flow without damaging your possessions.
5. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
6. Before first use, turn the temperature control to the highest setting (5), and allow the cooktop to run for 3-5 minutes to burn off any residue resulting from the manufacturing process.
7. To start operating, place the cookware on the cooktop, turn the temperature control to the desired heat setting (2-5), and adjust during cooking as needed.
8. The indicator light will illuminate to indicate that the cooktop is heating, and will go out when the selected temperature has been reached.
9. To keep your food warm, turn the temperature control to number 2 to maintain food at a constant warm temperature.
10. After use, turn the temperature control to off; as the hot plate gradually cools down, the food can stay warm for up to 30 minutes.
11. When not in use, be sure to set the temperature control to the off position, and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.

shrimp FAJITAS

Ingredients:

• 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
• ½ red pepper, sliced
• ½ yellow pepper, sliced
• ½ small yellow onion, sliced
• 3 ounces of shrimp, peeled and deveined ½ teaspoon chili powder
• ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
• ¼ teaspoon cumin
• ¼ teaspoon paprika
  Flour tortillas

Directions

1. In a small skillet placed on the cooktop, heat the oil over medium heat.
2. Add the peppers and onions, and sauté until tender.
3. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook fully.
4. Toss with the spices, peppers, and onions.
5. To serve, distribute a small serving of the mix into a tortilla – you can heat the tortillas in another skillet over the cooktop before serving for an extra treat.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

• Turn off and unplug the cooktop from the electrical outlet prior to cleaning.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents, and make sure that no water penetrates the cooktop.
• Allow the cooktop to cool for at least 30 minutes before cleaning or storing. DO NOT move the unit when it is still hot.
• Wipe the body with a clean, dry cloth or sponge.
• Allow cooktop to dry completely.
