Warranty
Radiant Optics Mfg., LLC warrants to the original purchaser that this new replacement element will be free from defects in material or workmanship for 180 days from the date of purchase. This warranty of material and workmanship specifically excludes labor; merchantability; installations not made in accordance with these installation instructions and/or the original heaterm installation instructions; malfunctions or failures due to misuse, negligence, alteration or accident; operation that varies from the original operating instructions; labor, loss of time, or inconvenience; loss of use of, or damage to, the original heater and other consequential damages. Repair or replacement will be at the sole discretion of Radiant Optics Mfg., LLC. This warranty constitutes the sole remedy of failure to the purchaser.
Important Instructions
- Installation requires competent, qualified personnel to prevent the risk of electrocution, injury, fire and/or property damage;
- Follow all OEM installation and operating instructions and precautions.
- Per OEM instructions, keep combustible materials at least 5 ½ feet from the front of the heater.
- To minimize risk of failure or fire, ensure heater is installed with the junction box on the low side.
- Ensure all hardware used is rated for high temperature (>900o F).
- This replacement element for use in HotZone ELE and HZE heaters and is not suited for any other use.

Installation Instructions

Disconnect power. Remove 2 screws that attach the element ‘sled’ to the housing.

Disconnect leads from old element. Save the hardware for re-connecting your new element. If
hardware needs to be replaced, use high temperature rated hardware (>9000 F). -
Remove old element from ‘sled’ and discard Install new element. Orient the new element so that the flanges on the bracket are aligned with the flanges on the ‘sled’.

Re-connect element leads Re-install sled and re-connect element leads. Re-use original high-temperature hardware. If hardware needs to be replaced, use high temperature rated hardware (>9000 F).
Push sled back into place.
Be certain that the leads from the element do not touch any part of the housing. If you are not certain, wrap leads in sufficient electrical tape to ensure enough electrical insulation is present to prevent a path to ground.
Reconnect sled to housing using 2 screws previously removed.
