How To Start/Stop Charging

How to Start Charging?

  1. Turn off your car, engage the handbrake, and lock the car doors. (Ensure that your car is unlocked and no charge settings/timers are turned on.)
  2. Plug the UK 3-pin plug into the wall socket. (Ensure a secure connection by firmly pushing the plug until the pins fully latch.)
  3. Connect the Type 2 charging plug into your car’s charging port. (Ensure a secure connection by firmly pushing the plug until the pins fully latch.)
  4. Lock your car and let it charge.

How to Stop Charging?

  1. Unlock your car.
  2. Disconnect the Type 2 charging plug from your car’s charging port, and then unplug the UK 3-pin plug from the wall socket.
  3. Cover the Type 2 charging plug with the dust cover.
  4. Store the EV charger in the cable bag.

    • Unplug the power plug from the wall socket.
    • Unplug the charging plug from the vehicle.
    • Replug both and check if the issue persists.

    • Cut off the electricity immediately.
    • Unplug the power plug from the wall socket.

    • If the control box temperature remains high, the charger will automatically stop charging for safety reasons. It will restart charging once the control box cools down completely.

Frequently Asked Question

  1. Q: Why can’t my charger charge?
  2. A: There are 4 common reasons:
    • Loose circuit connection. Check the connection between the charging plug and the vehicle, as well as the power plug and the wall socket.
    • The power socket is not working. Check the circuit breaker and other circuit loads. Try another wall socket.
    • Charging is restricted by the vehicle’s charging settings. Ensure that the vehicle has canceled scheduled charging or the maximum charging threshold before charging.
    • The vehicle battery is fully charged.
  3. Q: Why does charging stop during the charging process?
  4. A: There are 3 common reasons:
    • The vehicle battery is fully charged, and the charger will automatically stop charging.
    • The charging current or voltage is unstable. To protect the vehicle battery, the charger will automatically stop charging. Once the current and voltage stabilize, the charger will resume charging automatically.
    • The charging temperature is too high. For safety reasons, the charger will automatically stop charging. Once the temperature returns to a normal level, the charger will resume charging automatically.
  5. Q: Why does my charger heat up?
  6. A: There are 2 common reasons:
    • High charging current or voltage. Please use a wall socket rated for a current of 13A or higher for charging. If your wall socket is rated for 10A, do not charge continuously for more than 8 hours.
    • High external ambient temperature. Please avoid charging in direct sunlight.

  • Do not place flammable, explosive, or combustible materials, chemicals, flammable vapors, or other dangerous items near the product.
  • Keep the charging plug clean. If it becomes dirty, please wipe it with a clean, dry cloth.
  • It is strictly forbidden to touch the charging gun core with your hands when charging.
  • Do not use the product if the charging plug or charging cable is defective, cracked, worn, or broken.
  • If you encounter such issues, please contact customer service for assistance.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the product. Improper operations may cause damage, water leakage, and electrical hazards.
  • If there is a need for maintenance or modification, please contact customer service for help.
  • If there is any abnormal situation during use, all input and output power must be cut off immediately.
  • Exercise caution when charging in rainy or thunderstorm conditions.
  • Keep the charger out of the reach of children during the charging process to prevent injury.
  • Prohibit the vehicle from driving while charging. Charging should only be performed after the electric vehicle is turned off.
