Questions and Answers

Q: Why Mac asks to allow an accessory to connect?

A: When a new USB or Thunderbolt accessory connects to your Mac laptop with Apple silicon and macOS Ventura or later at the first time, you will get an alert that asks you to allow the accessory to connect. This is the security policy of Mac system. You need to choose ALLOW before you can use them. If you choose DON’T ALLOW, your Mac won't recognize the accessory or give it access to the data on your Mac, and you'll be asked again to allow it to connect on the next time you use the accessory.

Q: What is QTG?

A: OTG is On-The-Go. OTG is mainly used for connecting different devices or mobile devices for data changes. A OTG compatible device is competent to act as a controller or a host of the other USB devices.

Q: When using, can’t get transfer rate 5 Gbps?

A: Our SD card reader indeed can support 5 Gbps Speedy access at USB-A or USB-C upstream port. The practical transfer rate depends on data interface, storage card format and operating system, and in most cases is the TF/ SD card itself that can't reach ideal speed.
