INSTALLING YOUR VENT-CONTROL

Look for a knock-out on the control panel (the smaller one in the image below). If your panel has this, remove the knockout using a flat-head screwdriver and mallet to pierce the knock-out.

If your panel has no knock-out, you must drill a hole to install your vent control. For these cases, we have provided a plastic jig that allows you to mark the correct spot for drilling. The jig rests on the front and side of the panel using the vent slots for accurate positioning. Push up on the jig to ensure it contacts the top of the vent slot before marking.

Drill a 7/16” hole where your mark is. It is recommended that you start with a thinner bit to create a “pilot” hole that makes it easier to drill out to the larger hole.

After removing the knockout or drilling a hole, you can install the output connector for the vent control.

The red wire goes on “Output 4” on the controller, and the black wire connects to “Center Tap.” The black wire has a piggy-back terminal so that you can reconnect the wire that was already connected to “Center Tap.”
