Usage information
Note
- Add a few drops of olive oil to the clay if it is difficult to knead.
- Store any excess clay in a ziplock bag to mend any cracks in the dried ornament.
- Add olive oil to the excess clay when you want to use it later on.
STEP 1
Cut out characters required with scissors. Insert the characters in mirror image order into the letter holder.
STEP 2
Place the paper mat provided on a flat surface. Line up the mold with the dotted line printed on the mat.
STEP 3
Wash and dry hands thoroughly before removing clay from the packet.
STEP 4
Knead the clay for about 3-5 minutes with your hands to smoothen it out.
STEP 5
Place kneaded clay into the mold and using the base of your palm, gently and evenly press down on the clay so it fills the entire mold.
STEP 6
Use the straw to make a hole in the clay near the edge. Once dry, a ribbon or rope can be threaded through.
STEP 7
Gently use the roller across the clay to ensure the surface is smooth. The longer you roll, the smoother it will be.
STEP 8
Wash and dry your hands again. Baby’s hand/foot should also be washed and dried thoroughly.
STEP 9
Place the letter holder onto the clay and gently press down for 5 seconds before removing.
STEP 10
Place baby’s hand/foot onto the clay and press firmly for a good impression
Tip: For handprint, spread baby’s fingers. For footprint, keep your toes
straight.
STEP 11
After 3-4 days, carefully remove the mold. You can now paint the imprint if you wish to. Only paint the imprint when the clay is COMPLETELY DRY. 3-4 DAYS
STEP 12
String a rope/ribbon through the hole. The ornament can now be displayed on a mantle or tabletop.
