HOW TO RECHARGE THE SPEAKER

When the SOLO is running low on power, the LED light will start to FLASH. When the speaker battery is almost completely flat, charging and continuous playback may cause the speaker to shut off due to not enough power being in the battery. This is due to the charging input power speed being slower than the speaker output energy needed to playback. In this instance, please allow the speaker to recharge for around 45mins – 60 mins, before playing and recharging at the same time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How durable is this speaker?

It’s very durable but a little big to be moved often.

Can this unit play while being charged?

Why not that is a silly question if it is plugged in and being charged it is powered.

Is it waterproof?

No it is definitely not waterproof. But the bass on this thing will knock your socks off.

Pairing issues on gen2 e500 to iPhone and iPad it won’t pair anyone having issues also ?

Even with generation one speaker I sometimes have trouble pairing automatically. I usually have to manually pair it. If it doesn’t pair then I remove it from my iPhone and start pairing over again. I found it pairing easier if my iPhone is turned on Bluetooth first.

From how many Herzs to how many KiloHerzs is the range?

This is only an estimate but, going by size of the driver, 5=5.5 inches and size of enclosure, remember there is only a small amount of room for the woofer to operate I’d say with the dsp it would be 50-60 he +-6db in your small to medium size room. As for the high end it is possible it goes to 20k kHz.

Hello! Is there an option for me to connect my wireless microphones to use for karaoke? Maybe an aux connection?

Aux yes.

Can you connect a Bluetooth mic to this system?

I had to really think about this. Lol. So a wireless mic uses a transmitter. And the speaker is a receiver. So it would work because you can’t pair two receiver transmitters !

What is the frequency response?

Judging by size components and the lack of admission I’d guess 65-12+-8db which is pretty typical Bluetooth. Any time anyone can’t answer this basic question that means at reasonable distances it can’t play anything near a reliable 40 Hz-40 kHz, 65 Hz is usually what they aim for because it’s the range of a drum so it can at the very least thump. The downward design is meant to cause floor boom which would make the bass feel more palpable at the cost of realism and fidelity.

If I leave this plugged in all the time will it mess up the battery?

No.

I see hdmi for TV. Ok, but how does that work if you use 2 of these e500s for a stereo mode?

You should still be able to link the speakers via Bluetooth or using a cable.

Plugged in Aux into the speaker, turned it on and it immediately shut off. I can press the power button and all lights flash but it doesn’t turn on…

I owned four of these great speakers and I quickly noticed that once you utilize the auxiliary port the speaker immediately falls to absolute shit. I honestly love this speaker and it was hard to come to terms with this messed up situation. I sent back three and ordered the e600 to see if it was the same.

2nd generation pairing

No.

How does this speaker compare to the Aiwa Exos 9? I’m selling it and looking for a replacement.

I never owned an Aiwa speaker, but Abramtek E500 will not let you down: it has excellent sound volume and distribution, with superb bass…. One speaker easily fills the room with a very satisfying sound no matter what genre you prefer.

Can you sync two of these speakers together. If so how do you do that?

The manual indicates that you can do that, yes. I plan on getting another one in the future and look forward to hooking up the TV with them.

May I use the usb port as “input” ? (To add Wi-Fi for instance)

No. The unit is only Bluetooth access. Input port is for charging unit.
