  5. Do not allow the cord to touch a hot surface. Allow the iron to cool completely before storing.
  6. The iron must only be used with the provided power base.
  7. Always disconnect the iron from the electrical outlet for filling or emptying water or when not in use.

Filling the water tank

Make sure the iron is turned off and the power cord is unplugged from the electrical outlet.

  1. Set the steam regulator to the 0 position before filling the iron with water.
  2. Open the water inlet cover and fill the tank.
  3. The water level can be observed through the transparent part of the tank when the iron is placed vertically. In case the water level becomes low, refill the tank, following the procedure described in steps 1 to 3 above.
  4. Pour out the remaining water after use.

Note: Use regular tap water. Do not use any water additives or substitute water with any other liquid as that can stain fabrics or damage the iron. Do not overfill the water tank.

Steam iron

  1. Fill the iron as described above.
  2. Plug the cord into an electrical outlet.
  3. Position the iron on the base and turn the temperature control dial to the steam position.
  4. Preheat the iron until the indicator light goes out. The light will turn off when the selected temperature is reached.
  5. The iron is ready to use.

Steam burst

The burst of steam feature provides additional steam for removing stubborn wrinkles. It may be used with steam or dry ironing.

Press the steam burst button. Wait a few seconds for the steam to penetrate the fabric before pressing the button again for more steam.

Spray function

Note: Before using the spray feature, check the fabric label for ironing instructions to make confirm it can be sprayed.

The spray feature is particularly helpful for removing stubborn wrinkles. The spray may be used with steam or dry ironing. Simply press the spray button whenever spray is desired.

Dry ironing

The iron can be used for dry ironing. Set the steam regulator to the off position and set the temperature as needed. The water tank can be left empty unless using the spray function.

Anti-calc function

The anti-calc function eliminates impurities from the water and reduces the problems connected with limescale build-up. To prolong the efficiency of this system, follow these steps occasionally:

  1. Unplug the iron and allow it to cool down.
  2. Fill the included measuring cup 3/4 full of water. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water and fill the water tank with this solution.
  3. Leave the solution in the water tank for 15 minutes, shaking occasionally, and then empty it.
  4. Fill the water tank a second time with a salt water solution, shaking occasionally and empty it again after 15 minutes.
  5. Fill the tank with fresh water to rinse and then discard the rinsing water.

Anti-drip function

This system controls the water flow to the soleplate at all times. Below a certain temperature, the anti-drip function cuts off the flow of water and stops the iron from dripping onto the fabric.

After each use – cleaning & storing

  1. Turn the iron off and unplug it.
  2. Empty the water tank immediately after use. Do not store the iron with water in it.
  3. Wait until the iron has cooled before storing it. If needed, the outside surface of the iron can be wiped with a damp cloth. Note: never use harsh chemicals to clean the iron.
  4. Always place the iron vertically on the base to protect the soleplate from scratches, corrosion or stains.

Soleplate care

Starch and other residues may be easily removed from the soleplate with a damp cloth. To avoid scratching the surface, never use scourers to clean the soleplate, and never place the iron on a rough surface.

Self-cleaning

  1. Fill the water tank ½ full with water and position the iron on the base.
  2. Select the temperature control dial to MAX and plug in the iron.
  3. Allow the iron to heat up until the indicator light goes out.
  4. Unplug the iron from the electrical outlet.
  5. Keep the iron horizontally over a sink.
  6. Set the steam control to the maximum position. Press the self-cleaning button, the steam will now emit from the holes in the soleplate.
  7. Move the iron forwards and backwards while this happens; keep going until the water tank is empty.
  8. Turn the steam knob to the off position. Place the iron on the base and plug it in.
  9. Set the temperature dial to the ‘MAX’ position, and let the iron heat up again, the remainder of the water inside the steam chamber will now vaporize and leave the iron through the soleplate. During this process of dry steaming, it is advised to use the iron over an old piece of cloth.
