FAQ
Q1:Do I need download any driver before using this thunderbolt 4 dock?
A1:Don't need install any driver, connect with the host and turn on the power, plug and play.
Q2: Will this dock work with any laptop? How do I make sure my laptop works with this dock? What kind of cable should I use to connect the dock to my laptop?
A2: This dock works with laptops with thunderbolt 4/3 ports or USB-C 3.1 ports that support DP Alt mode, including MacBook Pro/Air M1, M2 and Intel, M1 iPad and Thunderbolt 4 PCs. The thunderbolt docking station supports the system like as Windows (10+) Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 systems, macOS (11+). It's recommended that you use the included Thunderbolt 4 cable.
Q3: When I plug in or plug out on this docking station, hdmi monitors go black for a few seconds and then recover? Is this normal?
A3: Itis a process of EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) communication, which may blackout screen for a few seconds. The recovery time depends on laptop and monitor (1 minute at max). Please do not worry and be patient waiting for the data completed. If you encounter any screen problems after waking up your laptop, please restart the docking station.
Q4: Why can't I connect the Ethernet via the product?
A4: a. For windows laptop, it is plug and play. Please check if the security on your network that was preventing the docking station from establishing a connection. And take the ethernet off of DHCP and set it to manual only, and also, not on Automatic location but a fixed location. b. For MacBook needs to be set up as follows: System Preferences - + Network - + Click “+
Q5: Why is there no audio output from HDMI port?
A5: 1.Please make sure that is audio output function on the monitor . 2.Please set the external monitor as default audio output device.(Windows users: START>SET- TINGS>SYSTEM>SOUND: then change output/ma- cOS users: System Preferences>Sound>Output: then change production).
Q6: Can I connect my Apple SuperDrive to the hub?
A6: No, some devices such as the Apple SuperDrive look for Apple-specific signaling and will not work when connected through any USB C Hub.
