Power Supply

Method One:

  • Please install batteries into the device before using.
  • Open the battery cover on the back of device.
  • Insert 6 x 1.5 V AA batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure the polarity is correct.
  • Close the battery cover.

Method Two (Recommended: Lasts longer & environmentally friendly):

  • Charge with the supplied USB to connect the power bank.

NOTE:

  • Not support for rechargeable batteries.
  • Please take AA batteries out if charging through USB cable.

Inserting Memory Card

  • Please prepare a Micro SD card(up to 128 GB) in advance.
  • Open the card slot cover, you will see the card slot.
  • Insert the Micro SD card into the slot. Make sure the direction is right. Never insert the card forcibly.
  • Format the Micro SD card, this can improve the battery life and shutter speed.
  • To remove the card from the memory card slot of the device, press the edge of the memory card in gently, the card will pop out. Then remove the card.

Basic operation

Turn on And Turn off
Keep pressing the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the device. Keep pressing the power button for 3 seconds again to turn off the device.

Changing The Modes
The night version has 3 different modes : photo mode, video mode and playback mode.

Long press the Mode button can change mode.

Zoom in or out
Keep pressing the + or – button to zoom in or zoom out the image. The value of magnification level appears on the LCD screen.

IR
In photo/ video mode, if you have to view the darkness environment, please short press IR UP button to activate the IR LEDs, the image will change to black and white.

  • Short press IR UP button to up the level.
  • Short press IR Down button to down the level.

Notice:
IR level can up to 7 level when the battery power is full. If the battery voltage is not enough, the IR LEDs level will down automatically. If the battery power is lower than 25%, IR LEDs can not be activated.

About the manual focus
under the left len ,marked “far” and “near”.

  •  If the observation to the right distance is far, please rotate the lens to right.
  • If the distance is near, rotate the lens to the left left.

Notice: Users can repeatedly adjust the optimal focal length according to the actual observation distance.

Recording Video

  1. Turn on the device, the default is video mode.
  2. You will get clearer views with adjusting the focus wheel.
  3. Zooming: Keep pressing the + or -button to zoom in or zoom out the image. The value of magnification level appears on the LCD screen.
  4. Start to record video.
    • View your subject via the LCD screen.
    • Press the Snap button to start to record. The record duration will be shown on the LCD screen.
  5. Finish recording.
    • Press the Shot button again to stop recording.

Notice: Automatically record the sound around when recording videos.

Taking Photos

  1. Turn on the device, keep pressing the Mode button to switch to photo mode.
  2. You will get clearer views with adjusting the focus wheel.
  3. Zooming: Keep pressing the or button to zoom in or zoom out the image. the value of magnification level appears on the LCD screen.
  4. Take a still photo.
    • View your subject via the LCD screen.
    • Press the Shot button to take a photo.

Playback

  1. Turn on the device, keep pressing the Mode button to switch to playback mode.
  2. Press Up/ Down button to view photos and video files.
  3. Playback the video.

Press the Snap button to start playing the video files. Press the Snap button again to have a pause. Press Mode button in playback mode, the screen will display the playback menu.

Playback Menu

Menu Function
Delete Delete the current one file in memory card.

Options:[OK] / [Cancel].
Delete All| Delete all files in memory card.
Options:[OK] / [Cancel].
Lock This| Lock the current one file in memory card.
Options:[OK] / [Cancel].
Unlock This| Unlock the current one file in memory card.
Options:[OK] / [Cancel].
Unlock All| Unlock all files in memory card.
Options:[OK] / [Cancel].

Settings in Photo and Video Mode

You can change the settings by pressing Mode button in photo or video mode.

Menu Function
Image Size Set the photo resolution.

Options:[2M 1920×1080] / [1M 1280×720] / [VGA 640×480]
Resolution| Set the video resolution. Options:[HD(1280*720@30FPS)] / [FHD(1920×1080@30FPS)].
Screen Save| If setting the screen into hibernation mode, it will not turn off.
Options:[OFF] / [1min] / [3min] / [5min] / [10min]
Brightness ad ustment| Options:[Low] / [Middle]/ [High].

Power Frequency| Set the light source frequency to match frequency of electricity supply in local region to prevent interference.
Options:[50Hz] / [60Hz].
Auto Power-off| Options:[OFF] / [1min]/ [2min] / [3min] / [5min] / (10min].
Date & Time| Set the date and time of device.
Date Stamping| Add the date stamp on the photo or video files. Options:[off] / [on].
Language| Set OSD (on. screen) language.
Fill light| Options:[off] / [on] I [Auto].
Format| Format your TF card.
Format TF card will delete all files including the protected files. Please copy the important files before confirm.
Options:[OK] / [Cancel].
Default| Restore the setup to factory default settings. Options:[OK] / [Cancel].
Version| User can see the firmware version information.

Download files to PC
There are two ways to download files from the device to a computer:

  • By inserting the memory card into a card reader.
  • By connecting the device to a computer through the supplied USB cable.

Troubleshooting

Device Power Off

  • If the device fails to activate, check for defective, missing or installed batteries improperly.
  • If the device fails to activate, please turn on after charging with power bank through USB cable.
  • Replace or install batteries correctly. Please make sure to use only Alkaline batteries.

Poor Image

  • If you wear glasses, please keep them on while using the device.
  • If at day, make sure the IR is off (if IR is on, screen is black and white or the screen is colored)
  • If at night, make sure you have turned on the IR, press IR Up(lf IR is on, screen is black and white)
  • Adjust the focus by slowing turning the Focus Wheel. Make sure it is focused.

Notes on Maintenance

  • Before cleaning the device, disconnect it from the power supply(remove batteries).
  • Only use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device.
  • Remove the batteries from the device if it is not used for a longer time.
