When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the following

- Do not open the lid when steam is coming out of the spout.
- Avoid spillage on the connector.
- Potential injury from misuse.
CAUTION
Insure that the appliance is switched off before removing it from its stand.
- This symbol identifies that the materials provided are safe for food contact and comply with European Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

- This product is intended for boiling, heating and keeping heated water at the desired temperature.
- This product is intended for household use only.
- This product is intended to be used in dry indoor areas only.
- No liability will be accepted for damages resulting from improper use or non-compliance with these instructions.
Before First Use
Danger: Risk of suffocation!
- Keep any packaging materials away from children and pets – these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.
- Remove all the packing materials.
- Remove and review all components before use.
- Check the product for transport damages.
- Clean the product before first use.
- Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product rating label.
- Boil and discard the first 2 batches of boiled water to remove any manufacturing residue.

Operation
CAUTION: Risk of scalding!
- Do not open the lid (A) during the boiling cycle.
NOTICE : Press the button (N) anytime to cancel the boiling cycle.
Setup
- Place the stand (G) on a flat and stable surface.
- Press the lid release button (B) to open the lid (A).
- Fill the product with fresh water. The water level must be between the MIN and MAX marks on the water level indicator (M).
- Close the lid and place the container on the stand (G).
- Connect the power plug (E) to a suitable socket-outlet. The display (J) shows the current water temperature.
Boiling water
- Press the button (N). The button (N) flashes red.
- Set the temperature by pressing the or ► buttons (0/K) on the display (J). Temperature can be set in a range from 40 •c to 100 •c. By default the product is set to boiling temperature 100 •c.
- The button (N) starts flashing when pressed and during temperature setting. After the desired temperature is set, the product starts heating up after 5 seconds. The button (N) stays on and the display (J) monitors the current temperature as the water is heated.
- Once the water reaches the desired temperature, the product switches off automatically. The button (N) goes off.
Boiling water with keep warm function
- Press the button (N). The button (N) flashes red.
- Press the button (L). The button (L) flashes red and the button (N) stays on.
- Set the temperature by pressing the ◄ or ► buttons (0/K) on the display (J). Temperature can be set in a range from 40 •c to 95 •c. By default the product is set to keep warm temperature 40 •c.
- After the desired temperature is set, the product starts heating up after 5 seconds. Both and buttons (0/L) stay on.
- Once the water reaches the desired temperature, the product enters keep warm setting automatically. Both and buttons (0/L) stay on.
Keep warm
NOTICE : This product has a keep warm setting that keeps boiled water at
a preset temperature for up to 40 minutes.
- Press the button (L). The button (L) flashes red.
- Set the temperature by pressing the ◄ or► buttons (0/K) on the display (J). Temperature can be set in a range from 40 •c to 95 •c. By default the product is set to keep warm temperature 40 •c.
- If the current water temperature is lower than the set temperature, the product starts heating up after 5 seconds. Both and buttons (O/L) stay on.
- Once the water reaches the desired temperature, the product enters keep warm setting automatically. Both and buttons (O/L) stay on.

The variable water temperature setting can be used for preparing different
beverages.

Cleaning and Storage
WARNING: Risk of electric shock!
- To prevent electric shock, unplug the product before cleaning.
- During cleaning do not immerse the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
CAUTION: Risk of scalding!
- The product gets hot during and after operation. Allow the product to cool down before cleaning
Cleaning
Caution: Risk of damage!
- Do not let water drop into the coupling switch (H) or its counterpart at the bottom of the kettle.
- To clean the exterior surface of the kettle, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Dry and polish the exterior surface with a soft cloth.
- Only use a dry cloth on the stand (G).
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
Descaling
NOTICE: It is recommended to descale the interior of the product when white
lime-scale has formed on the interior of the product.
- Fill the product half full with fresh water and then add the juice of 1 lemon.
- Boil the solution 3 times with a 15 minute rest time in between each boil.
- Pour out the solution and rinse the interior of the product thoroughly with fresh water.
- Store the product in its original packaging in a dry area. Keep away from children and pets.
Storage
- Wind the power cable (E) in the cable storage (F) of the stand (G).
Plug fuse replacement (for UK only)
- Use a flat screwdriver to open the fuse compartment cover.
- Remove the fuse and replace with the same type (10 A, B51363/A). Refit the cover.
