10 stages of purification process
Prerequisites for RO installation
- Purifier Installation should be performed only by a trained UC professional.
- An active power supply would be required to dispense water.
- 230V single phase AC connection should be at a maximum distance of 1.5 metres from the point of installation.
- Input water supply should be at a maximum distance of 2 metres from the point of Installation.
- Drain for rejected water should be at a maximum distance of 2 metres from the point of installation.
- Input water pressure should ideally be in the range of 10-30 PSI. In case, the pressure is more than 30 PSI or less than 10 PSI, pleaseuse a .’ pressure re duc.1 ng va lve’ or .’ pressure en h anc1. ng pump ‘ respectively. Jt can be bought at an additional cost.
Do’s:
- While connecting the tube, please ensure that it is not bent or pressed by heavy or sharp objects.
- If the power cord is damaged, the power adaptor must be replaced and not be used again.
- In case of any smoke or burning smell, switch-off power, remove the plug and book the UC service.
Don’ts:
- Do not install the unit at the following places:
- Near fire, heater or any flammable material.
- In front of any heating or cooling device.
- A place exposed to direct sunlight, rain or snow.
- A place where the temperature ls less than 0°C or more than 45°C.
- Do not plug or unplug the power cord with wet hands and do not put the cords near stoves or heaters .
RO installation procedure
A UC professional will Install the unit at the designated place. However, the
Installation procedure ls mentioned below for your knowledge and
understanding:
- Choose an Installation site as per the prerequisites and wall mount the unit.
- Connect a suitable power cord as per the voltage mentioned on the rating plate.
- Connect the inlet water tube between source water valve and machine inlet.
- Connect the waste water tube to the machine outlet and place the other end into drainage (please ensure the drain tube is lower than the level of the Installed unit).
- Make sure that the water runs into the unit properly and there are no leakages at any connecting point.
- Flush the tank twice just after installation to properly clean the membrane and filters.
Connect with the UC app for smart features
You may connect your M2 Water Purifier with the UC app to enjoy the following
features:
- Monitor TDS values ln real-time.
- Know the filter health in real-time.
- Get smart alerts on the app when an RO service ls due. Please ensure the following before initiating connection:
- You are updated to the latest version of the UC app.
- Your M2 Water Purifier Is switched on and ls In pairing mode.
- Please see if the LED ring is blinking slowly.
- Jf not blinking, tap & hold on the free-flow (water drop) button for 5 seconds.
- Your phone ls nearby the M2 Water Purifier.
- You are connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-fi connection.
- Enable the location & mobile data permissions to the UC app on your phone.
- The distance between the phone and M2 Water Purifier should be less than 5 meters when setting up the smart features.
Connection steps
Cleaning and maintenance
Storage tank
- Shut off the source water valve, empty the water tank and pull off the power plug.
- Take down the machine from the wall and remove the front panel by pressing the snap locks.
- Carefully disconnect the inlet pipe and float the micro switch from the tank lid and open the lid.
- Wipe the water tank with a clean & dry soft cloth.
- Reassemble and install the unit again
External Sediment Filter (ESF)
- Shut off the source water valve and remove the water Inlet tube attached to the housing.
- Rotate the ESF housing to open it from the cap for cleaning.
- Take out the filter cartridge and clean it under the Jet of clean water by rubbing it gently.
- Wipe the interiors of the housing using a clean & dry soft cloth.
- Reassemble and install the unit again .
Terms & Conditions
This is a summary of the key terms under the purchase of this product (“Product”) offered by UrbanClap Technologies India Private Limited (“Company”), to its customers (“Customer”) subject to the receipt of prescribed payment in full and the terms, conditions and exclusions of the underlying policy. The machine available under the product can be availed only by registered customers of Urban Company or registered customers of Urban Company’s authorized partners.
The customer agrees to these terms & conditions which shall be read in consonance with the customer terms & conditions found at www.urbancompany.com/terms and/or the UC mobile application, as updated from time to time.
General
- Once a customer purchases a product, we will provide an appliance and periphery kit items as stated above, free Installation of the appliance, and free uninstallation of any old appliance
- Spare parts provided with the product Include all the Internal components and external accessories (External Sediment Filter, Inlet Water Tube, Ball Valve, Waste Water tube and power adapter) provided
- Cosmetic/ aesthetic/ plastic/ glass parts/ bulbs/ cable/ wiring/ piping/ consumables are not covered under the product.
- Annual preventative maintenance will not be covered under the product
- The company reserves the right to make design and product changes in specifications at any time without any obligation to prospective buyers or customers of products previously sold.
- In the event that a customer initiates a return request, the company (UC) is authorized to either provide a replacement product or repair the original product, whichever is deemed more feasible by the company authorized technician. lf the customer remains dissatisfied with the replacement product or the repair service, the company will initiate a return process within 7 days of the original purchase.
Installation:
- The customer should have a working electrical and water connection within 1 meter of place of installation prior to installation.
- The Company does not cover any additional electrical or plumbing costs during the installation.
- If input pressure exceeds 30 PSI, you will have to Install a pressurereducing valve at an additional cost; if pressure is below 10 PSI then you need to install a pressure enhancing pump at an additional cost.
- The Company does not cover any additional cost due to the purchase of pressure changing equipment as they are based on pressure condition and need to be purchased at the time of installation.
Warranty
NATIVE BY UC UNDERTAKES BY THIS WARRANTY.
The requirement of Warranty:
- Should your NATIVE BY UC product fail due to a defect in material or workmanship under normal home use during the warranty period set forth below, the company will repair or replace the product upon receipt of proof of original retail purchase.
- This warranty is valid only for the original retail purchaser of the product and applicable only to a product sold in India by the company or its authorized partner.
Warranty period:
The NATIVE BY UC Water Purifiers comes with a 2 year warranty from the date of
purchase. The 2 year warranty covers all consumables replacements, electrical
issues and manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover any physical
damage to the machine due to mishandling on the customer·s end.
Note : If the original date of purchase cannot be verified from the proof
of purchase, the warranty will begin 2 months after the manufacturing month,
which shall be verified based on the serial no./ barcode label on the product.
What this warranty covers:
- Warranty will be applicable if:
- Product ls used for domestic purposes only.
- TDS of Input water should be less than 2000ppm
- Iron Contents ln Input water should be less than 0.1 ppm
- Hardness of input water should be less than 300ppm.
- Input water turbidity should be less than 1 0ntu.
- NATIVE BY UC offers you warranty for products sold within the territories
- of India and guarantees that the product ls free from defects in material and workmanship, according to the following terms and conditions:
- Repairs under warranty shall be carried out by authorized service personnel only. The details of centralized help lines are provided ln the user manual and can be accessed through QR code on the machine.
- The company’s liability under this warranty shall remain valid only if authorized service personnel has installed the Native by UC Water Purifier at the location specified ln the Invoice and such installation is undertaken by the company’s or its authorized representative.
- In case of repairs or replacement of any part of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. Replacement of parts will be solely at the discretion of NATIVE BY UC. In case the replacement of the entire unit is made, (At the discretion of Native by UC) the same model shall be provided as replacement; if such model has been phased out, the equivalent model as determined by NATIVE BY UC shall be provided as replacement.
- In case of repair, NATIVE BY UC shall endeavour to use new parts. If new parts are not available, however, then NATIVE BY UC will have every right to repair that part and replace that part whichever is possible. The warranty on replacement model/ Refurbished part shall remain In force only for the unexpired period of the warranty based on original purchase.
- The company or its Authorized Service Center reserves the right to retain any part or component replaced at its discretion in case of a defect discovered In the equipment during the warranty period.
- If any of the colored internal or external components is replaced, NATIVE BY UC Is committed to ensuring that the shades match the original or other components. The replaced shades, patterns, or tints may vary from the customer’s unit due to continuous usage of the unit. Any matching component changed at the customer’s request other than the component that is actually needed will be charged.
- This warranty will automatically be terminated upon the expiration of the warranty period specified above,even If the NATIVE BY UC product may not be in use at any time during the warranty period for any reason.
- In case of any unpredicted situation, and spares are not available, NATIVE BY UC’s prevailing depreciation policy (subject to the sole discretion of NATIVE BY UC, may be changed without prior notice) will be applied to the product as a solution.
- Only courts In the state of Delhi and places where NATIVE BY UC has a branch office shall have Jurisdiction over the settlement of any and all claims and disputes arising during the warranty.
What this warranty does not cover:
- Please note that the warranty does not cover routine maintenance or cleaning of the RO system.
- If any part is replaced during the warranty period, then the machine’s warranty continues (Not the parts warranty).
- Warranty claims will only be accepted in case of a malfunction or clogging of filters.
- The warranty does not cover any physical damage to the machine due to mishandling on the customer’s end.
- Visiting charges of the service engineer for units installed beyond the municipal limits of the jurisdiction of the company’s Authorized Service Center. All expenses incurred in collecting the units or parts thereof from the company’s authorized service center as well as expenses incurred from deputizing service personnel/technicians for conveyance and other incidentals, etc., shall be borne by the customer. Local charges for transportation and handling charges may vary by location. Customers are advised to verify in advance. If the customer wishes to bring the unit on his/her own to an authorized service centre, such shall be at his/her own risks & consequences.
- Reinstallation or uninstallation of product based on customer demand. Packing material, if used, will also be charged.
- Transportation cost in case the customer is moving the product to another location.
- Damage resulting from operating the product in a corrosive atmosphere or contrary to the instructions outlined in the products owner’s manual.
- Damage to the product caused by accidents, pests and vermin, lightning, wind, fire, floods, or acts of God.
- Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, improper installation, repair, or maintenance. Improper repair includes use of parts other than those approved or specified by NATIVE BY UC.
- Damage or failure caused by unauthorized modification or alteration or use for purposes other than the intended purpose
- Warranty will become void if any modifications are done to the Native machine.
- Warranty will become void if the machine is repaired other than an authorized UC Professional and if any other filters other than UC Genuine Spares are used.
- Damage or failure caused by incorrect electrical current, voltage, or inadequate electrical services, commercial or industrial use, or use of spurious/fake accessories or components or cleaning products other than those approved by NATIVE BY UC.
- Damage or missing items of any display, open box, discounted or refurbished product.
- Free accessories provided external to the product, excluding the external sediment filter and diverter valve (these 2 are covered under warranty}.
- Damage to the product if the customer has the product repaired by an unauthorized dealer/person.
- Upon removal, tampering, or alteration of the serial number/ Identification labels on the machine or any of its components.
- The warranty is valid within the company’s service network coverage only. In case a customer moves to a non-coverage area, the customer needs to bring the product to a nearby service network area. The company ls not responsible for providing service to non-network areas.
- Warranty is not applicable when used in for use in commercial establishments.
- Any loss or damage caused by any physical damage post installation of the appliance within the knowledge of the customer, or their representatives
- Any loss or damage to the appliance put up for rental or hire purposes
- A wilful act or wilful negligence of the customer or his/ her representative
- Enhancements, alterations, additions, and/ or improvements made during the course of any service or repair to the appliance
- Any consequential or incidental loss or injury to a person, or loss or damage to any other item or property, or any incidental, contingent, special, or any direct or indirect loss and consequential damages Including but not limited to losses Incurred due to any delay In rendering service related to this product
- Any loss or damage caused by any unauthorized repair
- Theft, burglary, robbery, and incidents involving or attributable to any earthquake, storm, and or hurricane, any abuse or misuse of the appliance, effects of or relating to sand, dust, water, failure to take reasonable care, fire, flood, lightning, malicious damage, Impact, corrosion, battery leakage, acts of God, animal or insect infestation or intrusion
- Any loss or damage resulting from a failure to follow this operating manual Instruction In relation to product Installation and set up, power outages, surges or dips, or any improper voltage or current supplied
- Reception or transmission problems resulting from external causes
- Breakdowns caused by phone viruses, malware, cyber threats, or realignments to the appliance
- Any costs arising from incorrect modification or maintenance from a third-party vendor (not Urban Company)
- Any costs or losses arising from an inability to use the appliance
- Damage/ failure caused after delivery of the appliance and prior to installation within the knowledge of the customer, or their representatives
- Defects due to causes beyond control such as lightning, abnormal voltage, and acts of God will not be covered. Short circuits are also not covered.
- Aesthetic defects, Including but not limited to dents, scratches on painted, polished, or enamelled surfaces, and broken plastic on ports and antennae ls covered under replacement
- Disclaimer : Output results from water purifier depends on Inlet water quality.
