Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate the washer:

  1. Sort and load your laundry into the washer, then close the lid.
  2. Touch the Power button to turn on the washer.
  3. Select the desired cycle for your load.
  4. Select any additional options if needed.
  5. Touch and hold the Start/Pause button to begin the cycle.
  6. If desired, adjust the cycle settings.

Note: Some cycles, settings, or options may not be available on all models. If the washer detects an out-of-balance condition, it may pause to resolve the issue. During this time, the Sense and Rinse/Spin status indicators will briefly illuminate.

Choosing the Right Cycle

To choose the appropriate cycle for your load, consider the following:

  • For cotton, linens, and mixed garment loads, it is recommended to use the Normal cycle with warm water.

For best performance, follow these loading recommendations:

  • Load items by dropping them in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall.
  • Do not lay items lengthwise.

Fire Hazard

  • No washer can completely remove oil.
  • Do not dry anything that has ever had any type of oil on it (including cooking oils).
  • Items containing foam, rubber, or plastic must be dried on a clothesline or by using an Air Cycle.
  • Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or fire.

WARNING: Do not wash water-resistant or water-repellent type clothing. Failure to closely follow these instructions may result in an abnormal vibrating and out-of-balance condition that could result in physical injury, property damage and/or appliance damage.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Add HE Detergent into the basket & Laundry Products into the Dispenser. Maytag suggests using the Downy Ball® dispenser.

  3. Touch Power to Turn On the Washer.
  4. Select the Desired Cycle for your Load.

  6. Select Additional Options.
  7. Touch and Hold Start/ Pause to Begin the Cycle.
  8. NOTE: Not all cycles, settings or options are available with all models. If the washer detects an out-of-balance condition it may pause and attempt and resolve the issue. During this time the Sense and Rinse / Spin status indicators will both briefly illuminate.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT CYCLE

NOTE: Normal cycle with Warm water is recommended for kinds of cotton, linens and mixed garment loads.

LOADING RECOMMENDATIONS
