WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury, please read and follow all instructions
and safety guidelines in this manual.
Risk of suffocation:
Never allow an infant 15 months or younger to sleep on an inflatable
mattress. Infants can suffocate on an under-inflated or deflated mattress, on
bedding, or by being trapped between the mattress and another surface.
- Children over 15 months old may sleep on this inflatable mattress only if there is at least a shoulder-width space between the mattress and any vertical surface (such as walls or furniture) to avoid entrapment.
- Always keep the mattress fully inflated when using.
WARNING
Risk of burns, fire, and other injury:
Keep mattress and cord away from heat sources or heated surfaces. Do not smoke
on the mattress.
Do not stand, walk, or jump on this mattress.
This mattress is not a life-saving device. It is not a flotation device and is
not intended for use in water.
Do not expose to sun, rain, or other complex climates for a long period of
time. Do not expose to harsh outdoor conditions. Do not use in wet or damp
areas. When camping, use without shelter only for a brief period of time. Use
in sheltered conditions such as inside a tent or vehicle.
- Close supervision is necessary when this mattress is used by or near children, invalids, or disabled persons.
- Only use this mattress as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by Etekcity.
- Do not use this mattress if it is damaged or not working properly. Contact Customer Support (see page 17).

- Two-Part Air Valve
- Outer Valve
- Inner Valve
Initial Setup
- Remove the mattress from its packaging. Unfold the mattress and place it with the felt side facing up.
- Inflate the mattress (see page 9).
- Let the mattress rest for 8-12 hours before sleeping on it for the first time. Optionally, allow the fully-inflated air mattress to air out for several days in a well-ventilated room.
- Allow the mattress to air out for 2-3 days in a well-ventilated room.
Note: PVC material may have a strong smell when new. This smell is normal and non-toxic. The mattress materials have passed US CA Prop 65 tests on lead, cadmium, and phthalates.
Operation
Inflating
-
Pull the tab to open the outer air valve. Connect the included air pump to the valve. [Figure 1.1]
-
Inflate to the desired firmness. Disconnect the air pump and close the air valve.
Note: Inflation will take about 2 minutes for the twin-sized mattress, and about 3 minutes for the queen-sized mattress. Time may vary based on the environmental temperature and air pump’s pressure rating. -
Lie on the mattress to test the firmness.
-
Optionally, adjust the firmness by either continuing to inflate the mattress or by letting some air out.
-
Make sure the air valve is completely closed. If there is a hissing sound or air coming from the valve, it is not fully closed.
Deflating and Storing
-
Fully open the inner air valve and allow the mattress to fully deflate. [Figure 2]
-
Make sure the mattress is clean and dry.
-
Lay mattress with the felt side facing up. Fold the mattress. [Figures 2.2 – 2.51
Note: Fold the mattress loosely. Avoid sharp bends, corners, and creases, as these can damage the mattress. -
Place the mattress inside the storage bag and store in a cool, dry place. [Figure 2.6]
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning
- Only clean the mattress with a soft dry cloth or mild soap and water. Lay the mattress flat to dry after cleaning.
- Do not immerse in water. This will damage the mattress.
Keeping the Mattress Firm
- This mattress is made of flexible PVC vinyl material, which will naturally stretch during use. All air mattresses will lose some firmness or slightly deflate over time. Use the included pump to add air to the mattress for 10-20 seconds to restore firmness.
- During the first few uses, the mattress will stretch more than usual and require a small amount of inflation after each night.
- Air temperature will affect the internal pressure of an air mattress. Inflate or deflate the mattress as needed.
- If the temperature goes down (such as on a cold night), the air in the mattress will compress, and the air bed will become softer.
- If the environmental temperature goes up (such as on a hot day), the air in the mattress will expand and become firmer.
Preventing Leaks
Keep mattress away from sharp objects and rough surfaces.
Keep away from pets, as their claws will damage the mattress.
- Do not place any air mattress against a wall or similar surface. The friction from rubbing against a wall may damage an air mattress’ flexible surface. Nails in the wall may also damage the mattress.
- Do not over-inflate. This will shorten the lifespan of the air mattress.
- Do not expose to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
- Avoid putting too much pressure on small parts of any air mattress. This includes sitting or sleeping on the edge of the mattress for several hours, and standing or walking on the mattress.
- Fold the air mattress correctly (see page 11).
- When camping, keep off of rough objects or surfaces that may damage the mattress.
Repairing Leaks
Use the included vinyl plastic repair kits to repair leaks.
Note:
- If your mattress has lost only a small amount of air, there may not be a leak (see Keeping the Mattress Firm, page 12).
- The repair kits will not work on the felt parts of the mattress.
- Tolocate the leak, fully inflate the mattress. Spray or wipe mild soapy water on the mattress. Air bubbles will form at the leak area.
- Deflate the mattress.
- Thoroughly clean the damaged area. Allow to dry for at least 10 minutes. The area must be completely dry before patching, or the patch will not work.
- Cut the vinyl patch to the required size for the damaged area.
- Remove patch from the paper backing. Press firmly over the damaged area. Optionally, use a smooth, heavy object to weigh down the patch.
- Wait 20 minutes before inflating.
Troubleshooting
My mattress has a chemical smell.
- Place the mattress in a well-ventilated area and let it air out for several days.
Note: The chemical smell, and all mattress materials, are non-toxic. This is normal. The nmattress materials have passed US CA Prop 65 tests on lead, cadmium, and phthalates.
My mattress deflated fully after sleeping on it once.
- Make sure the air valve is completely closed before using. If there is a hissing sound or air coming from the valve, it is not fully closed.
- Look for any punctures in the mattress. Use the included patch kit to seal the punctures (see page 13).
- Your mattress may be damaged or defective. Contact Customer Support (see page 16).
My mattress deflated by a small amount (10- 15%).
- If your air mattress is new, then fully inflate and deflate the mattress once. This should fully stretch out the PVC vinyl material and the mattress should remain firm throughout the night.
- This is normal with extended use (see Keeping the Mattress Firm, page 12).
If your problem is not listed, please contact Customer Support (see page 16).
