Safety Instructions

Read and understand all instructions before you use this device. Do not make any changes or settings that are not described in this manual. If physical injury, loss of data or damage is caused by failure to follow instructions, the warranty does not apply.

Setup

  • To reduce the risk of fire and/or electric shock, do not expose the device torain or moisture, and objects filed with liquids, such as vases, should not beplaced on the device.
  • Do not place the device in areas susceptible to excessive dust and dirt or
  • Do not place the device on soft surfaces such as tablecloths or carpets asdoing so could be a fire-hazard.near any appliance generating a strong magnetic field.
  • To prevent overheating, do not block or clog the ventilation openings.
  • Never place the device in a confined space. Always leave enough space around the device for ventilation.
  • Protect the device against direct sunlight, heat, large temperaturefluctuations and moisture.
  • When the device runs for a long period of time and the surface becomes hot, shut it down and unplug the power cord. Resumeoperation only after the device has cooled.
  • Always handle the device with care. Avoid touching the lens.
  • Never place heavy or sharp objects on the device or the power cord.
  • To avoid electric shock, do not disassemble.
  • Only use attachments or accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  • Handle with care to avoid damage caused by falling. Avoid extreme vibration. It may damage the internal components.
  • Do not allow children to handle the device without supervision.
  • Under the following conditions, a layer of moisture can appear inside the device which can lead to malfunctions: a) if the device is moved from a cold to a warm area; b) after a cold room is heated; c) when the device is placed in a damp room. To avoid any moisture, seal the device in a plastic bag before moving it to another room, and wait for one to two hours before you take it out of the bag.

Power Supply

  • Power off the device before removing the power supply from the socket.
  • Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from thisdevice.
  • Unplug this device ifthere are lightning storms or when unused for along period of time.
  • Where the power plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
  • Before you make or change any connections, ensure that all devices are disconnected from the power outlet.
  •  Never touch the power cable or the power connector with wet hands.

Hearing Safety

  • To avoid hearing damage, do not listen for extended periods at high volume. Set the volume at a safe level.

Cleaning

  • Power off the device and remove it from the power supply before cleaning the surface.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth. Never use liquid, gaseous, or easily flammable cleansers (like sprays, abrasives, polishes, and alcohol).
  • Do not use any liquid cleaning agents to clean the lens as they may damage the protective coating on the lens.
  • Wipe over the surfaces gently. Be careful that you do not scratch the surfaces.
  •  Use lens cleaning paper to clean the lens of the projector.

Repairs

  • Do not make any repairs to the device yourself. Only have your device repaired by an authorized service center.
  • Improper maintenance can result in injuries or damage to the device.
  • Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

Caution

  • Possibly hazardous optical radiation emitted from this device.
  • Do not stare at operating beam. The bright light may hurt your eyes.

Getting Started

Placement

Place A89 on a stable, flat foundation in front of the projection surface. For the best results, the projection surface should be white and flat. The distance between the projector and the projection surface must be a minimum ofl.35 meters (53 inches) and a maximum of3 meters (778 inches).

  •  It is unnecessary to tilt the projector towards the projection surface. You : can correct the projection image with the built-in keystone correction.
  • The distance between the projector and the projection surface determines the image size.
Prepare the Remote Control

To replace the battery, slide off the battery compartment backplate to open the battery compartment, insert new batteries (matching the polarity(+/-) indicated), and close the battery compartment.

Get Started

  1.  Connect the projector to the outlet by using the provided power cord, and the LED indicators will light on.

  2. Turn on/ off the projector

  3. Angle the projector towards a suitable projection surface or wall.

Settings

Go through the set-up process when you turn on the projector for the first time.

Network

This projector can be connected to the Internet via a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection.

  1. On the home menu, select [Settings] > [Network] and press.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the network connection.
Bluetooth Setting

Go to home page — Select [Setting] — Select the [ Bluetooth ]. Enter the Bluetooth settings interface — Scan the Bluetooth devices nearby automatically– Choose the Bluetooth device desired — it will be paired and connected automatically.

  1. The projector is compatible with the Bluetooth headsets, Bluetooth speakers and Airpods, but not the Bluetooth keyboards or Bluetooth phones

Using the A89

Connect to HDMI Playback Devices

This projector supports connections with various HDMI playback devices such as 1V sticks, 1V boxes, DVD players, set-top boxes (5TB), game console or other devices.

  1. Connect this projector to an HDMI playback device with an HDMI cable.
  2. On the home menu, select [HDMI], and press. (*It will automatically start the HDMI playback when connected to an HDMI playback device for the first time.)

Using the A89

Screen Cast

iOS Cast ( for iOS Devices )

  1. Home page – Select [Airplay] menu – Press the OK button to enter the [Airplay] menu. your iOS device screen will be displayed on the projection screen after 3 seconds.

Screen Cast

Miracast ( for Android Devices)

Go to home page – Select the [ Miracast] – Press the OK button to enter the Miracast setting menu.

Select the [Settings] menu on your Android device — Select the [ Screen mirroring] function–Select your Miracast receiver named [ Miracast-XXXXXXXX] –your Android device screen will be displayed on the projection screen after 3 seconds.
Note:

  1. Different brands of Android phones have different operations for select Screen Mirroring Display, please refer to your phones manual. [ Multi screen Wireless display/ WLAN display/ Screen mirroring/ Wireless projection/ Smart view etc.]
  2. Not all Android phones support this function. Please make sure it is supported before use.
DLNA(Software with TV Icon)
  1. Go to home page — Select [ DLNA] menu — Press the OK button to enter the[DLNA] menu.
  2. Open your video player software.
  3. Click the TV icon, select and connect the projector name
  4. The mobile phone can exit the video player software playback interface and the projector will continue to play.

Multimedia Play

USB Disk Input Mode

Stepl: Insert the USB flash disk into the USB port of the projector.
Step2 : Select “Media” and press the “OK” key to enter.

Step3: Depending on the file type, select the option [MOVIE/MUSIC/

Step4: Select the desired file in the USB disk (or enter the sub-folder folder), and then press the [OK] button to play it.

Warm Tips: If the projector cannot recognize the USB disk, please refer to the following methods to solve the problem.

Please confirm whether your USB disk meets the following formats.

  1.  FAT32: 8G/76G/32G
  2.  NTFS: 64G

If it is not, please format the USB disk. Before you format the USB disk, if you have anything on your USB disk, make sure to backup everything. After these steps, everything will be lost forever.

How to convert USB disk format to FAT32 format?

  1. Plug in your us disk into the computer’s USB port.
  2.  Open up File Explorer and right-click on the drive.
  3. Choose Format.
  4. In the File System dropdown, please choose the FAT32 format.
  5. Click Start and close this window when finished. If the problem is still not solved, please send your problem to this email: Service@deerfamy.com.

SICNAL LINES CONNECTION

Projector has 3 interfaces, H DM I portl/ USB port2/3.Smm headphone output. Please select the correct connecting port to connect your device (PC, DVD Player, Fire TV stick, TV box, Sound bar, USB disk,PS4 etc.)

  1. lnsert the USB disk into the USB input port;
  2. You can directly enter the start-up screen on the home page, select theoption [ Movie/Music/Photo/TEXT)
  3. Select the desired file (or folder to enter the sub folder) in the USB disk, then press the [OK] button to play it.
Connect the Devices via the HDMI port
  1. Connect your Fire TV stick (or PC, TV box, PS4 etc.) to the HDMI port of the projector;
  2. Enter the home page to select the corresponding HDMI as the signal source.

Connect to the DVD Player

  1.  Turn on your DVD player and the projector;
  2.  Connect to the DVD Player and the projector with the HDMI cable
  3. Enter the home page to select the corresponding HDMI as the signal source.
    Note: When the projector is connected to the DVD player via the HDMI cable, if there is no sound, it may be that the output signal of the HDMI port of the DVD player is not compatible with HDCP, please try to connect your Sound bar/Speaker.

If your speaker has an AUX port, please use your 3.5mm audio cable connect the projector and your speaker as the picture shows.

Connect to the Computer

  1. Connect to the computer and projector with the HDMI cable (Included)
  2. Select the HDMI source to project any files on your computer;
  3. 0n your laptop, hold down the key “Win+p” board keys to change your
    display mode.

Computer only : it is the default option – only displays on the main monitor.
Duplicate : makes all of the monitors display the same thing duplicatingthe desktop on each monitor.
Extend : makes all of your monitors act like one big monitor extending the desktop across all of them.
Projector only : Displays only on the secondary monitor like a projector.
You can change the screen resolution on the Projector Only Mode Step: Start> Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Adjust Screen Resolution

Troubleshooting

  1. Fail to power on by the remote control?
    •  Make sure that the device is connected to the power supply.
    •  Turn on the lens cover.
  2. The remote control doesn’t work?
    •  Replace new batteries.
  3. Blurred image?
    •  You can either slightly move the projector or press the navigation buttons to focus on the image.
