Veise KS02D Keypad Digital Door Lock

Product Information

The product is a Keypad Digital Deadbolt lock (model number KS02D) designed for installation on doors. It comes with an exterior assembly, latch, strike, mounting plate, battery cover, interior assembly, backup key, reinforcement plate (optional), and various screws and tools.

The lock is suitable for doors with the following specifications:

• Door hole diameter: 2-1/8″ (54mm)
• Door edge hole diameter: 1″ (25mm)
• Backset options: 2-3/8″ or 2-3/4″ (60 or 70mm)
• Door thickness: 1-3/8″ to 2″ (35mm or 50mm)

Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the door and check dimensions

1. Measure the door hole to ensure it has a diameter of 2-1/8″ (54mm).
2. Measure the door edge hole to ensure it has a diameter of 1″ (25mm).
3. Confirm the backset is either 2-3/8″ or 2-3/4″ (60 or 70mm).
4. Check that the door thickness is between 1-3/8″ and 2″ (35mm or 50mm).
5. Ensure the hole in the door frame is drilled at least 1″ (25mm) deep.

Step 2: Install the latch and strike

1. Determine the backset and adjust the latch if necessary.
2. If the slotted hole is not centered, rotate and pull the latch to extend it.
3. Test if the deadbolt works smoothly using a screwdriver.
4. Install the strike on the door frame, ensuring the hole is at least 1″ (25mm) deep.

Step 3: Install the exterior assembly

1. Make sure the latch is fully retracted (in the unlocked position).
2. Route the cable below the latch and insert the torque blade through the slot in the latch.
3. Secure the mounting plate with the supplied screws, being careful not to overtighten.

Step 4: Install the interior assembly

1. Push the battery cover out in the indicated direction.
2. Insert the cable connector into the socket firmly.
3. Keep the thumb turn in a vertical position and install the interior assembly.

Note: Do not load batteries until the lock is completely installed.

Prepare the door and check dimensions

Install the latch and strike

• Determine backset and adjust the latch
• Install the latch

• Use a screwdriver to test if deadbolt works smoothly.
• Install strike on the door frame.

Install exterior assembly

IMPORTANT:
Before installation, make sure the latch is fully retracted (in the unlocked position)

• With the latch fully retracted (in the unlocked position), route the cable below the latch, and insert the torque blade through the slot in the latch.
• Secure the mounting plate with the supplied screws. Do not overtighten screws.

Install interior assembly

• Push the battery cover out in the direction as illustrated.
• Insert the cable connector to the socket. Push the connector in firmly until it is completely attached.
• Keep the thumb turn in vertical position and install the interior assembly.
• Attach Interior Assembly to Mounting Plate and tighten 3 Screws.

Detect left/right hand door installation

Reset the lock to teach the lock the orientation of the door.

IMPORTANT:
This step is required and crucial for the lock to operate properly.

• While the door is OPEN and UNLOCKED, load 3 AA batteries into the battery compartment.
  Note:
  For long last, please use all new, non-rechargeable Alkaline batteries only.

• Press and hold the Reset button on the interior assembly by using the reset tool.

• Load the 4th battery and keep holding the reset button for 3 seconds, until you hear the sound of “beep”. The latch bolt will extend to learn the orientation of the door automatically.

Prepare the door and check dimensions
If your door already has the holes shown in the picture below, proceed to the next step, if your door does not have holes, use the mounting template to drill a new hole.

Latch backset adjustment

Backset is the distance from the door edge to the center of the hole in the door.
The latch is provided with adjustable design which can fit either 2-3/8’’(60mm) or 2-3/4’’(70mm) backset.

• A. If the backset of your door is 2-3/8″(60mm), no need to adjust the latch.
• B. If the backset of your door is 2-3/4″(70mm), please adjust the latch.

Install latch and strike

Install Handleset

Install Handle Lever

Test the Handleset after installation.
Keep the door open, retract the latch by pressing knob from outside and pushing the lever from inside of the door to test if the Handleset works smoothly.
