How to use it on a Macbook?
How to connect?

Plug in the connected cable.
- Loading time: approx. 12 seconds.
- Do not insert the CD before pressing the cable into the computer, as this will not affect the read time of the external drive.

Ensure that the media icon appears on the desktop when inserting the CD into the product.
- If there is no media in the product, a disc icon (Icon) will not appear here.
- If the icon is displayed, you can use the product.
If you are unable to eject the drive on your Mac
If the eject button on this product does not respond when you press it, please refer to the following methods.
- Method 1: Right-click the icon to eject the disc.
- Method 2: Click on the device to select it, then click the eject button.
- Method 3: Shortcut key [COMMAND + E].
- Method 4: Restart the computer. During startup, press and hold the left mouse button until the CD icon appears and the CD is ejected.
If no media (CD/DigitalVideoDisk) is inserted in the product, the icon will not appear even if this setting is made.
How to remove it?
- Discard the media icon to the recycle bin.
- Remove the disc from the product.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

Insert the connected cable.
- Reading time: approx. 12 seconds.
- Do not insert the disc into the external drive as this will not affect the read time of the external drive.

How to remove it?
- Discard the media icon to the recycle bin.
- Remove the disc from the product.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
Note
- Do not press down hard on the tray as indicated by the arrow in the figure below, the tray cannot be closed and doing so may distort the tray and cause it to malfunction.
- Please connect the device through the original data cable (extension cable is not recommended).
- When the CD is being read or burned, please cancel the “sleep mode” of the computer; otherwise the data on the CD will be lost or damaged.
- The front USB port of the desktop computer host may be unavailable, it is recommended to use the back USB port.
- It’s better to use the external power adapter to increase the power if your devices don’t have enough power to support the external drive.
- The portable CD/DigitalVideoDisk burner cannot play blu-ray disc or game disc that over 8.5 GB.
- A disc purchased in one country may not be playable on a player purchased in another country. The region code attached to the DigitalVideoDisk disc is marked on the disc. (Discs without codes can be played on any player in any country.)
- So you need to set the region code of the extended CD drive to be consistent with the CD to play the CD.

The product is not recognised by the computer or does not work properly?
Check that the USB cable is correctly connected. -

Is the disc dirty?
If the disc is dirty, it may not be readable. Wipe the disc clean. -
Are the region codes of the DigitalVideoDisk-Video, product and playback software correct?
Check the area code. -
Is the format and burning method of your DigitalVideo Disk disc correct?
Check which discs can be used.

Video playback is not smooth:

Is “WinDigitalVideoDisk” installed correctly?
Reinstall WinDigitalVideoDisk. Please log in as a user with administrator rights before installation. -
Are you playing Wave sound alone or AVI files?
It is not possible to play DigitalVideoDisk-Video and video, such as Wave audio or AVI files, at the same time. Complete the playback of these files before playing DigitalVideoDisk-Video.

Cannot write properly?
Check your settings:- Make sure that the power saving functions (standby, sleep and hibernate) do not work.
- Exit resident software and other programs.
- Do not make network connections.
- Defragment the hard drive.
- Change the write speed (reduce speed).
- Do not use the active desktop.
