How to Connect PC with Quest Headsets by This Cable

1. Please insert the adapter into the charging port in the middle of the cable;
2. Plug the cable into a USB 3.0 port on your PC, then plug the other end into your headset.
3. Turn on your headset;
4. Download the PC app and click Download Software below Link Cable and Air Link;
5. Open the desktop app on your PC, click on the “device”.
6. Connect the device to the computer: To connect the device for the first time, you need to “Add Headset” and then complete the connection.
7. Set up Oculus Link, select the Oculus Link option on your headset setting interface to start a wired connection.

Notes

1. Ensure your PC meets the recommended specifications (found in Oculus Link Compatibility).
2. When connecting, the first step is crucial – plug the adapter into the dedicated charging port of our cable to enable proper charging.
3. For connect PC, please make certain that both your PC and your headset have the latest software updates.
4. For optimal performance, it’s advisable to use the original charger, adapter provided in the package or an adapter with a 5V/2A(or above) adapter power our cable.

Dedicated Charging Port with Security Smart Chip

The smart chip developed by RuntoGOL is designed to intelligently regulate the current to maintain the battery’s power level at approximately 80%. This not only maximizes battery life but also ensures the safe use of electricity.

1. When the battery level is above 80%, the smart chip will intelligently slow down the current input. The battery will gradually decrease by 0%-2% every half hour until it reaches around 80%, at which point it will stabilize.
2. Conversely, when the battery level falls below 80%, the smart chip will intelligently increase the current input. The battery will steadily increase by 0%-3% every half hour until it reaches about 80%, and then it will maintain this level.
3. In standby mode, the smart chip will enable a gradual battery level increase of approximately 15% every half hour.

Troubleshooting

Can’t charging the Quest headset.

1. Make sure you follow the correct usage steps. Initially, power our standalone charging port using the adapter provided.
2. Ensure you are using the appropriate adapter. Please use the original adapter or a charger with a power rating of 5V/2A or higher.
3. If your VR device’s battery level is above 80%, our smart chip will reduce the charging power to ensure device safety. During this process, the battery will not increase and will be maintained at approximately 80%.

Can’t connect PC with Oculus headset by the cable.

1. Please ensure that you have correctly connected the cables and your Oculus headset before opening the computer software for the connection.
2. First, verify if your GPU meets the requirements for “Oculus Link Compatibility.” Many issues, like delays and flickering, often stem from using a lower-end GPU0 that may not meet the Oculus Link’s requirements.
3. To use Oculus Link, you need to install the Oculus PC application. After downloading the PC application, make sure that both the Oculus PC software and your Meta Quest headset are running the latest versions.
4. If you encounter any issues enabling the Link through a cable connection, verify that Oculus has disabled the AirLink feature.
5. It’s recommended to charge your Quest headset in advance because a low battery on the Quest headset can lead to unstable connection performance and potential disconnection issues.
