Basic Operations

Power on/off

  1. Power On: Slide the power switch of the voice recorder upward to the “ON” position, and the recorder will power on.
  2. Power Off: Slide the power switch downward to the “OFF” position, and the recorder will po­wer off.

Recording/Saving Recording

  1. Start Recording: In the powered-on state, press the recording key shortly to enter the recording mode. The recording timer starts, and the recording indicator blinks.
  2. Pause Recording: During recording, press the “Play” key shortly to pause the current re-. cording The recording indicator stays on. Press the “Play” key again to continue the recording.
  3. Save Recording: During recording, press the “Stop” key shortly to stop the recording and save the current recording file.

Play/Pause
In the recording or music mode, press the “Play” to start playback, and press it again to pause.

Track Change/Fast Forward and Rewind
In playback mode, press the “Previous Track” key or “Next Track” key to switch tracks, or lon­g press it again to pause.

Volume Adjustment
In the stopped or playing state, press the “Volume+” key to increase the volume, and pr­ess the “Volume -” key to decrease the volume.

A-B Repeat
In voice or music playback mode, long-press the “M Menu” key to set the starting point “A” of the A- 8 repeat. The screen will display “A-8” and blink Long-press the “M Menu” key again to set the ending point “B.” The screen will display “A-8” and stop blinking, indicating that the A-8 repeat function is set To cancel the A-8 repeat, long­press the “M Menu” key again.

Return
In voice or music playback mode, short-press the “Stop” key to stop the current playback and return to the playlist. In the menu state, short­press the “Stop” key to return to the previous menu. Long-press the “Stop” key in any state (except the main interface) to directly return to the main interface.

Recording settings
After selecting the “Recording” function menu on the main screen, press the “M Menu” button to access the recording menu. Press the “Prev­ious Track” or “Next Track” button to choose and enter the recording settings, which include 70 options:

Recording Source

  1.  There are two recording sources available on the device:
  2. Microphone: This mode uses the built-in mi­crophone or an external microphone.
  3. LINE-IN Recording: This mode allows recor­ding from an external audio source connected through LINE-IN.
  4. Recording Format : You can choose between two recording formats: WAV and MP3. Each format has different available bitrates.
  5. Recording Bitrate : The recording bitrate options depend on the selected recording format. For WAVformat: 572Kbps, 768Kbps, 7024Kbps, 7536Kbps. For MP3 format: 32Kbps , 64Kbps , 728Kbps.
  6. Recording Gain: There are seven levels of re­cording sensitivity. Select the appropriate level and press the “M Menu” button to confirm. Hi­gher levels allow for recording from a greater distance.
  7. Recording Monitor: You can enable or disable recording monitoring. Press the “M Menu” bu­tton to confirm. Use the “Previous Track” or “Next Track” button to select “Open Monitor” or “Close Monitor” and confirm with the “M Menu” button.
  8. Voice Activation (Sound Control) Settings : To enable voice-activated recording, select “Sound Control Settings” after entering the recording menu. You can adjust the sound control switch and sensitivity level (1 to 7) for voice-activated recording based on the ambient noise level.
  9. Segmented Recording: Segmented record­ing allows you to set the duration of each rec­ording segment. Options include “Off,” 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, and 120 minutes. Press the “M Menu” button to confirm your sel­ection.
  10. Timed Recording : You can set up scheduled recording by selecting “Timed Recording” within the recording settings. Configure the switch, recording period, start time, and end time for timed recording.
  11. Recording Indicator Light : You can enable or disable the recording indicator light based on your preferences.
  12. Noise Reduction Level: There are four options for noise reduction: “Off,” “Levell,” “Level 2,” and “Level 3.” Choose the appropriate level based on your preferences.
  13. Note that noise red­uction is available in mono mode, and disabl­ing it will enable stereo mode.

Music Playback
After selecting the “Music” menu on the main screen, press the “M Menu” button to confirm and access the music menu. Use the “Previous Track” or “Next Track” button to select the desired song and press the “Play” button to start playback.

Playback Settings
In music or voice playback mode, press the “M Menu” button to access the playback settings menu, which includes the following options: (7) Playback Settings: Select “Playback Settings” and enter the menu to access three sub- menus: Sound Settings, Repeat Settings, and Playback Modes.
Sound Settings:

  • Variable Speed Playback (Varispeed): Enter the Varispeed menu and press the “Volume+” button to increase playback speed or the “Volume-” button to decrease it. Press the “M Menu” button to confirm your choice. Note that lossless music does not support variable speed playback.

  • Equalizer (EQ): Enter the EQ menu and choose from options such as “Sound Off,” “Rock,” “Funk,” “Hip Hop,” “Jazz,” “Classical,” and “Elect­ronic.” Press the “M Menu” button to confirm your choice.
    Repeat Settings:

  • Interval Repeat: Set the time interval between A repeat points, ranging from l to 10 seconds. Press the “Volume+” or “Volume-” button to adjust the interval time and press the “M Menu” button to confirm.

  • Repeat Count: Set the number of repeats for A repeat, ranging from l to 10. Press the “Volume+” or “Volume-” button to adjust the repeat count and press the “M Menu” button to confirm.

  • Repeat Mode: Enable A-B repeat by choosing the Repeat Mode menu. When activated, the A-B points will appear on the playback screen, and you can set point “B” by pressing the “Next Track” button. The screen will display “A-B” and stop flashing, indicating a successful A-B repeat setup.

Playback Modes:

  • Random Playback: Enable or disable random playback on the device.
  • Repeat Playback: Choose from options like “Browse Playback,” “All Repeat,” “Single Repeat,” or “Repeat Off.”
    1. Single File Delete: You can delete the curr­ently playing or paused music/voice file. Select “Single File Delete,” and the system will prompt whether to delete the current file. Choose “Yes” and confirm the deletion.
    2. AII File Delete: You can delete all files curr­ently in the playback state. Select “All File Del­ete,” and the system will prompt whether to delete all files. Choose “Yes” and confirm the deletion.
    3. Add to Playlist: Add the currently playing or paused music to one of the three available pla­ylists. Create personalized playlists by adding your favourite songs.
    4. Remove from Playlist: Remove the currently playing or paused music from one of the pla­ylists.

Connect to computer
To download and upload files from the comp­uter, please use the USB cable provided with the device. Connect the larger end of the USB cable to the PC’s USB port and insert the smaller end of the USB cable into the USB port of the device. Once connected, the device will automatically power on. Upon the first connection, the computer may prompt to create a driver information library and detect new hardware. The device will be automatically detected by the computer, indicating a successful connection.
Charging The device is equipped with a built­in lithium battery, and you can charge it by co­nnecting it to the computer using the provi­ded USB cable. During charging, the battery icon will cycle, and when the battery is fully ch­arged, the full battery icon ( ) will be displayed. It takes approximately .5 hours to fully charge the built-in lithium battery.

Note: If using an adapter for charging, please use a charger with a maximum output of SV and.

System settings

Auto Shutdown

Auto shutdown is a feature that forcefully po­wers off the device during recording or play­back. Press the “Previous Track” or “Next Track” button or rotate the multifunctional knob to select auto shutdown or set the auto shutdown time. You can choose from 70 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 720 minutes. Press the “M Menu” button to confirm your sel­ection.

(Note: Auto shutdown is effective for a single use only).

Backlight Timer
The backlight timer provides options for 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, or “Always On.” When there is no key operation, the device will activate the screen saver to save power according to the set time.

Backlight Brightness
In the backlight brightness menu, press the “Volume+” or “Volume-” button to adjust the backlight brightness level. Once you’ve selected the desired brightness, press the “M Menu” button to confirm.

Date and Time:
Press the “M Menu” button to enter the date and time setting menu. Use the “Previous Track” or “Next Track” button to choose between time setting and date setting. For time setting, use the “Volume+” or “Volume-” button to adjust the time value, and use the “Previous Track” or “Next Track” button to switch between hours and minutes. Press the “M Menu” button to confirm and exit. For date setting, use the “Volume+” or “Volume-” button to adjust the date value, and use the “Previous Track” or “Next Track” button to switch between year, month, and day. Press the “M Menu” button to confirm.

Language Selection:
The device supports multiple languages, including Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, etc. Select the desired language and press the “MENU” button to confirm.

Password Setting:
The device supports password locking. Press the “M Menu” button to enter the password se­tting menu. You can set the password switch to open and modify the password. Password Switch: To use the password feature, you must set the password switch to open. The password feature will only be effective when the pass­word switch is open. Password Setting: After setting the password switch to open, you can set the startup password. Use the “Previous Track” or “Next Track” button to switch between password rows. Use the “Volume+” or “Volume-” button to set the numeric value. Once the password is set, press the “M Menu” button to confirm.

Note: Please remember your password. If you forget the password, enter “181818” at the pass­word input screen after startup, and then long­press the “Stop” button to cancel the password and enter the main interface forcefully.

Information
This section provides details about the software version and disk space.

Format Device:
Press the “M Menu” button to enter this menu, and then choose whether to confirm formatting. Press the “MENU” button to confirm and start formatting. (Note: Formatting will erase all data, so please remember to back up im- portant files).

Factory Reset:
This option allows you to restore the device to its factory settings. Press the “M Menu” button to confirm the factory reset.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to record and play back recordings?
To start recording, please turn on the voice recor­der by pushing the power button (located on the left side) to the “ON” position. Press the “REC” button to begin recording. Press the “Stop” button briefly to stop recording and save the current recording file. Press the “Play” button to play the recording file, and press the “Play” button again to pause play­back.

How to fast forward/rewind during playback?
In playback mode, press and hold the up/down buttons to fast forward or rewind.

How to adjust the volume?
In playback mode, press the volume buttons briefly (do not hold the volume button). and then press the up/down buttons to adjust the volume. The current volume value will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.

How to set a password?
To set a password, open the voice recorder, go to Settings»> find “Password Setting” using the up/ down buttons»> turn on the password switch »> set the password»> enter your password.

Forgot the password?
If you forget the password, enter the password “181818”, then press and hold the “Stop” button to un­lock the voice recorder. After that, you can re-enter the voice recorder and set a new password.

How to reset the voice recorder after it crashes?
In the event of a crash, press and hold the playback button for 73 seconds to initiate an automatic system reset.

How to Turn ON Voice Operated Recording Mode (Voice Activated Function)?
To enable Voice Operated Recording Mode (also known as Voice Activated Function), follow these steps: Select the “Recorder” function on the main interf­ace. Press the “M Menu” button to access “Record settings.” Briefly press the “Previous Track” or “Next Track” button to choose “VOR mode.” In this menu, you’ll find two options: “Switch” and “Sensitivity level.” To use the voice control record­ing function, set the “switch” to the “On” position. In this mode, the recording will be voice-activated, and you can adjust the sensitivity level based on the ambient noise. There are 7 sensitivity levels available, ranging from 7 to 7, with higher levels indicating greater sensitivity.

The voice recorder can be connected to the computer, but it can only charge and cannot read the disk.
Possible reasons are as follows: A) The Type-C USB cable is damaged or the USB socket is loose. If so, try using another USB cable (such as your Android phone cable) connect to another USB socket, or simply restart your computer. B) Check if the voice recorder’s power switch is in the OFF position when connecting to the computer. C) There may be a problem with the device. If it is a quality issue, we can provide replacement services.

How to set the date and time?
Go to “Settings” »> use the up/down buttons to find “Date and Time Setting”> Set the time/date as desired.

The voice recorder cannot play the recording on the computer.
This may be due to a problem with the media pla­yer. Try using another media player, such as VLC Media Player (Website: http://www.videolan.org/) for Mac users, or choose “Windows Media Player” for Windows users.

can’t find my recording in the voice recorder.
This may be because the device is reading the “Music” folder. Long press the “Back/Save” button to switch to the “Recording” folder, where you will find the recording files. Alternatively, connect the voice recorder to the computer and check if there are any recording files.

How to use the Recording monitor function?
To utilize the Recording monitor function, follow these steps: Select the “Recorder” function on the main interf­ace. Press the “M Menu” button to access “Record settings.” Briefly press the “Previous Track” or “Next Track” button to choose “Recording monitor.” Press the “M Menu” button to toggle between the “ON” and “OFF” interfaces. When you select “ON,” you’ll be able to listen in real­time while recording (this requires plugging in headphones and enabling the recording function).

Why is the actual capacity of a TF card small­er than the labelled capacity?
The system software occupies a portion of the de­vice’s space, resulting in a slight difference from the nominal capacity, which is a normal phenomenon.
