The product in question is the JBL Partybox, specifically the Partybox 310 model. It is a portable speaker system designed for parties and events. Product Usage Instructions
To resolve certain issues, such as Bluetooth connection problems, customers can try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Install software updates through the JBL Partybox app.
- Perform a factory reset by following these steps:
- Press and hold the Play/Pause and Volume + down buttons for more than 10 seconds.
- The JBL Partybox will power off and then power back on, indicating that it has been reset.
Regarding the functionality of the Bass/Treble/Echobuttons/dials on the top control panel:
- These effects are specifically designed for the Microphone 1 input and are intended for karaoke use.
- They do not apply to other sources or inputs such as Bluetooth, Aux, or USB.
- To apply these effects to music from other sources, users need to utilize the equalizer in the JBL Partybox app (supported models only).
If users desire more bass, they can use the Bass Boost button located on the top control panel:
- The Bass Boost button has two levels: Off, Level 1, and Level 2.
- Press the button multiple times to switch between the different bass levels.
- The Bass Boost effect will be applied to Bluetooth, Aux, and USB sources and inputs, but not to the microphone.
Troubleshooting Steps
Installing software updates through the JBL Partybox app or performing a factory reset could likely resolve some of the customers’ issues (e.g. with Bluetooth connection):

- Press and hold “Play/Pause” and “Volume +” down for > 10 seconds.
- The JBL Partybox will power off and back on and is now reset.
The Bass/Treble/Echo knobs on the top of the Partybox 310 are only applied to the Microphone 1 input (by design), there is an equalizer in the JBL Partybox app to apply this to music from the other sources:
Functionality of Bass/Treble/Echo Buttons/Dials
- The Bass, Treble and Echo buttons/dials on the control panel on top of the Partybox only apply these effects to the Microphone for Karaoke use.
- These effects are not applied to other sources or inputs such as Bluetooth, Aux or USB, the Equalizermust be used in the JBL Partybox app for this (on supported models).
- Also, if more bass is desired, there is a Bass Boost button on the top control panel (with 2 levels of Bass Boost: Off, Level 1 & Level 2, switched through pressing the button multiple times). This will be applied to the sources and inputs mentioned above (but not the microphone).
