Product Usage Instructions

To use the WK 1323, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the cover (part 1) from the device.
  2. Locate the On/Off switch (part 2) and turn it on.
  3. Grip the handle (part 3) for easy handling.
  4. Check if the power indicator (part 4) is illuminated to ensure the device is powered on.
  5. Place the base (part 5) on a stable surface.
  6. Press the button to open the lid (part 6) for access to the device’s interior.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless older than 8 and supervised.

    • Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments.
    • By clients in hotels, motels, and other residential-type environments.

    • Farm houses.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.

  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

  • If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.

  • Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.

  • Please use the kettle only with the stand provided.

  • Caution: Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its stand.

  • WARNING: The filling aperture must not be opened during use.

  • The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

  • Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
  • Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
  • Before the first use boil a full kettle of water to clean the kettle and discard this water.
  • Connect the power cable to the socket. (Note: Make sure the indicated voltage on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V 50-60Hz).

USE

  • Always remove the kettle from the base when filling it, this to avoid water dripping into the base.
  • Make sure the water level will never exceed the maximum level marker.
  • If not enough water is used, the kettle will switch off, with too much water it may boil over. Switch the device on by pressing at the on/off switch. The indicator light will be illuminated. Once the water has boiled, the on/ off switch returns automatically to the off position.
  • If the appliance is accidentally switched on when empty, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off. Adding cool water will cool the boil-dry protection mechanism which enables you to use the kettle as normal.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
  • Use a soft damp cloth to clean the housing of the device.
  • Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or steel wool, which damages the appliance.
  • Never immerse the kettle and base in water or any other liquids.
  • The device should be regularly decalcified. Use a descaling product that is suitable for household appliances.
  • Rinse the kettle several times with clean water after descaling.

ENVIRONMENT
This appliance should not be put into the domestic garbage at the end of its durability but must be offered at a central point for the recycling of electric and electronic domestic appliances.
