Aqara P1 Motion Sensor
Product Information
The Motion Sensor P1 is a device that detects body motion and the state of ambient light. It is designed to send notifications to the Aqara Home app or link with other devices when there is any movement or change in the ambient light state in the areas under detection. The motion sensor requires an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 Hub or a device with the function of Zigbee 3.0 Hub for use. If using Apple HomeKit, an Apple Home Hub is required. For more details, please visit www.aqara.com/support. The motion sensor features a lens with a red/blue dual-color indicator light inside, a light detection window, a battery cover, and a reset button.
Effective detection area:
- Lateral view: 0m – 7m
- Top view: 0m – 6m
The recommended installation height is 1.2-2m. Installing the motion sensor lower than 1.2m reduces the detection scope, while installing it higher than 2m creates a blind zone at the bottom of the sensor.
Product Usage Instructions
Quick Setup
- Before activating the accessory, ensure that communication between the motion sensor and the Aqara Zigbee 3.0 Hub is working normally.
Installation Instructions
- Do not install the motion sensor on tile, glass, marble, or other smooth and easy-to-moisten objects as it may cause the sticker to loosen.
- Avoid installing the motion sensor on the surface of a lighting tube or other high-temperature and heating objects to prevent the sticker from loosening.
- Avoid installing the motion sensor on the surface of wall coverings and other rough and uneven objects to prevent the sticker from loosening.
- Do not face the motion sensor against electrical appliances and other heating sources to avoid false triggers caused by infrared jamming.
Direct Installation
- Choose an appropriate installation position with a clean and flat surface.
- Attach the sticker to the bottom of the battery cover and stick it firmly to the desired installation position, ensuring the detection direction is determined correctly. Press hard and evenly for 30 seconds to ensure it sticks firmly.
Installation with Holder
- Choose an appropriate installation position with a clean and flat surface.
- Stick the sensor to the installation pedestal and press hard and evenly for 30 seconds to ensure it sticks firmly.
- Stick the holder pedestal in the required area and press hard and evenly for 30 seconds to ensure it sticks firmly. If installed on a wall surface, it is recommended that the holder gap faces upward to facilitate adjusting the detection direction.
Battery Replacement
- Use a screwdriver to take off the battery cover from its gap.
- Insert two brand-new CR2450 button batteries into the battery compartment, with one firmly sticking to the compartment top on the polar front and the other firmly sticking to the compartment bottom on the polar front.
