SAFETY

• By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for the damage.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
• Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord cannot become entangled.
• The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.
• The user must not leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the supply.
• This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the purpose it is made for.
• This appliance shall not be used by children aged less than 8 years. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless older than 8 and supervised.
• To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid.
• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
• For additional protection, we advise you to install a residual current device (RCD) in the electrical circuit that supplies the bathroom his electricity. This RCD must have a rated residual operating current no higher than 30mA. Ask your installer for advice.
• After use the appliance should be cleaned to avoid the accumulation of grease and other residues.
• WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
• Do not turn the cable too tightly around the unit as this may damage the cable.
• Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local Authority or local store for recycling advice.
• The universal recycling symbol, logo, or icon is an internationally recognized symbol used to designate recyclable materials. The recycling symbol is in the public domain and is not a trademark.
• The product and packaging materials are recyclable and subject to extended manufacturer responsibility. Dispose of it separately, following the illustrated packaging symbols, for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.
• This product complies with conformity requirements of the applicable European regulations or directives.
• In a double-insulated appliance, two insulation systems are provided instead of an earth wire. No earthing means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for earthing be added to the appliance. BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Take the appliance and accessories out of the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
• Clean before using the appliance with a damp cloth. • During first use there could be some smoke and a burning smell. This happens because the appliance is new. It will disappear after a few minutes. This does not mean there is a malfunction and it will not cause one.

USE

• Connect the power supply, and set the “ON/OFF” switch to “1” to turn it on, the indicator light will illuminate. Allow the appliance to warm up, after approximately 2 minutes of warming up the appliance will be ready for use.
• Turn the temperature knob to set the desired temperature.
• For complete styling, the hair should be clean, dry and free from dirt, hair spray, creams, etc. (Of course, this hair straightener can always be used for quick touch-ups and rescues any time). Hair should be divided into several parts and operated part by part and by even pulling the hair downwards. Comb through this section to smooth out any snarls. Hold ends taut with one hand. Part off a section of hair to be straightened, starting at the back neck area towards the crown, moving along the sides and finishing at the front top area.
• Open the clamp and grip hair within one inch of the scalp. Hold in place for about 5 to 10 seconds for fine hair or 10 to 12 seconds for thick or coarse hair.
• Carefully, release pressure on the handles and let the hair slip out from the plates.
• Repeat the treatment until you have a satisfactory result.
• Turn off the appliance and unplug it.
• Allow the hair straightener to cool down.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe appliance surfaces. Do not allow water or any other liquid to get into the unit.

Storage

• Unplug the appliance, allow it to cool, and store it in its box or in a dry place. Never store it while it is hot or still plugged in.
• Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance.
• Never hang the unit by the cord. Store the cord loosely coiled. Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.

ENVIRONMENT

This appliance should not be put into the domestic garbage at the end of its durability but must be offered at a central point for the recycling of electric and electronic domestic appliances. This symbol on the appliance, instruction manual and packaging puts your attention to this important issue. The materials used in this appliance can be recycled.
