This faucet filtration system ensures to give you clean and healthy water with Activated Carbon Fiber (ACF) filter. As to adsorption, ACF has been proven to be 10 to 12 times better than ordinary carbon. It will effectively filter chlorine, unpleasant taste and odor
while retaining beneficial minerals in water. The system will meet your needs of clean water with a 320-gallon service life.

System tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for the reduction of the claims specified on the Performance Data Sheet, and to NSF/ANSI 372 (<0.25% lead).

Installation Instructions

  1. Remove your original faucet aerator if there is an aerator in your faucet. Choose the right adapter to match your faucet threading, and  choose the appropriate Silicone Washer(I2).

2 (a2) fits most internal threaded faucets.
    If (a2) doesn’t fit, try(a1) or(a3).Waterdrop WD-FC-01 Activated Carbon Fiber

    If (b2) doesn’t fit, try(b1) or(b3).

  2. Unscrew the Mounting Nut (D) from the Mounting Base (G) by turning counter- clockwise. Then put the Mounting Nut(D) on faucet.

  3. Put the Silicone Washer (l2) into your chosen adapter. Then wrap Teflon Tape(l3) around the joint of mounting base and the faucet. You can hand-tighten the adapter. Do not over-tighten it.
    NOTE: Please make sure an appropriate Silicone Washer (I2) is installed into your chosen adapter to prevent water leakage.Waterdrop WD-FC-01

  4. Screw the Mounting Base (G) onto the Mounting Nut(D) firmly by turning clockwise.Waterdrop WD-FC-01 Activated Carbon Fiber Faucet Filtration System - Fig 6

  5. Unscrew the Filter Top Cover(B) from the Filter Base (C). Take out the filter from package and remove the protective film. Insert the filter into Filter Base (C). Twist the Filter Top Cover(B) back to Filter Base (C) securely.

How to Use

After installation, open faucet. Switch the Lever (H) to “tap” position, and unfiltered water will run through.

NOTE:

  1. Before first use, run cold water for 1 minute in “pure” position. Do not run hot water above 122°F/50 through the filter. During flush, it is normal to see cloudy water and hear the sound of water pushing air out of the filter cartridge.
  2. Check for leaks. If there is any leak, please refer to FAQ.
  3. Please switch the lever slowly to avoid damage to mounting base.

Filter Cartridge Replacement

For optimum performance, it is highly recommended you use genuine Waterdrop faucet replacement water filter. And it is also advisable to change your filter every 3 months or 320 gallons to keep water fresh, whichever comes first will vary based on water usage and water quality.

Twist the Filter Base(C) from the Mounting Base (G).

Twist the Filter Top Cover (B)off  and take out the old filter.

Remove the protective film and insert the new filter into the Filter Base (C).

Twist the Filter Top Cover on (B).

Align the slot of Filter Base(C) with the slot of Mounting Base(G).

Insert Filter Base(C) into Mounting Base(G)and rotate 90°upward.

Warnings

  1. Do not use with water above 122 °F /50°C.
  2. Flush the system for 1 minute before use after a long time of non-use.
  3. Prior to each use, run water through the filter for 5 to 10 seconds to activate the filter.
  4. The filter system must be protected against freezing temperatures, frost, snow, sleet, and ice. Exposure to these elements can produce cracks and product failures.
  5. Please do not touch the filtered water outlet to prevent bacterial growth.
  6. Do not use steel wire brush or corrosive liquids to clean the product.
  7. Change the filter every 3 months or 320 gallons for best filtration performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

1 Q: Why does water leak between the mounting base and the faucet?

A: Please check if the Teflon Tape is wrapped properly. If not, bind the tape again around the joint of mounting base and the faucet.

2 Q: Why does the filtered water run quite slowly?

A: The filter cartridge may be clogged. Replace the filter cartridge.

3 Q: Why does the unfiltered water run quite slowly?

A: There may be dirt in filter steel mesh. Clean the filter steel mesh.

4 Q: Why does the water taste funny?

A: The filter cartridge is not installed appropriately, or it should be replaced. Please re-install it in a correct way. If there is still bad taste, please replace it.

Limited Warranty

The Waterdrop Activated Carbon Fiber Faucet Filtration System (Model No.: WD- FC-01) offers 1-year warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship from the original date of purchase. If the product proves to be defective within 1 year from the
date of purchase, please call our technical support hotline.
During the warranty period, we will replace or repair any part which is deemed to be defective, if product has not been subjected to tampering, alteration or improper use after delivery, and has not been repaired by the manufacturer. The product is not warranted against misuse, use in abnormal operation temperature conditions, conditions outside listed operating parameter, use in commercial operations or any other manner outside the “System Specifications” set forth in the owner’s manual. Our obligation does not include the cost of transportation. We are not responsible for damage in transit, and claims for such damage should be presented to the carrier by the customer.
NOTE:
It does NOT apply to any filter cartridge, which has a life expectancy that varies based on incoming water quality.
