Product Information
The product is the Dirt Quad Control Module, which is a component of the Razor Dirt Quad electric off-road vehicle. The control module is responsible for controlling the operation of the vehicle.
The kit includes the following items
- 1 Control Module
- 1 3mm Allen Wrench
- 1 5mm Allen Wrench
- 1 6mm Allen Wrench
- 1 No. 10 Open Wrench
The control module is located under the plastic body cover of the Dirt Quad.
Product Usage Instructions
WARNING: Before proceeding with the installation instructions, make sure to turn off the main power switch and disconnect the charger.
Step 1
Use the front carry handle to carefully lift the Dirt Quad up on end, with
the rear wheels on the ground. Use a 3mm Allen wrench to remove the 2 bolts on
the support bracket. Slowly lower the Dirt Quad back down to the ground and
save the bolts for reassembly.
Step 2
Using a 6mm Allen wrench, remove the 4 bolts on the handlebar clamps and
detach the handlebars.
Step 3
Using a 5mm Allen wrench, remove the 4 bolts (2 on each side) on both sides
of the footrest platforms.
Step 4
Using a No. 10 open wrench, remove the 2 bolts underneath the rear fender.
Step 5
Lift up the plastic body and carefully maneuver it around the top of the
steering tube to remove the body.
Step 6
Carefully unplug the 5 plastic connections attached to the controller. Each
connector is a snap-lock type connection that requires depressing a small tab
to release the connector. Do not pull on the wires to disconnect.
Step 7
Using a 5mm Allen wrench, unscrew the 2 Allen bolts and remove the control
module.
Step 8
Dispose of the old controller in an environmentally sound manner by
recycling or returning it to a federal or state approved recycler.
To install the new control module
- Attach the new control module to the frame using the 2 Allenbolts.
- Re-connect the (5) plastic connectors, ensuring they are securely attached.
- Re-attach the battery cover.
- Lower the plastic body back down over the main frame and re-fasten the 2 bolts to the rear fender.
- Re-fasten the 4 bolts on both footrest platforms.
- Re-attach the handlebars.
- Lift the Dirt Quad up and re-fasten the bolts to the battery cover and support bracket.
- Carefully lower the Dirt Quad back down to complete the installation.

The control module is located under the plastic body cover.
WARNING: Turn off the main power switch and disconnect charger before proceeding with the following instructions.
- Step 1
- Use the front carry handle to carefully lift Dirt Quad up on end (unit should be standing in the upright position with rear wheels on the ground).
- Using a 3mm Allen wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the support bracket (Figure 1). Using the front carry handle, slowly lower the Dirt Quad back down to the ground. Save bolts for reassembly.
- Step 2
- Using a 6mm Allen wrench, remove the 4 bolts on the handlebar clamps and detach handle-bars. (Figure 2)
- Step 3
- Using a 5mm Allen wrench, remove the 4 bolts (2 on each side) on both sides of the footrest platforms. (Figure 3)
- Step 4
- Using a # 10 open wrench, remove the 2 bolts underneath the rear fender. (Figure 4)
- Step 5
- Lift up the plastic body (Figure 5a). Carefully maneuver it around the top of the steering tube (Figure 5b) in order to remove the body.
- Step 6
- Carefully unplug the 5 plastic connections attached to the controller. Each connector is a snap-lock type connection that requires depressing a small tab to allow the connector to release (Figure 8). Do not attempt to disconnect by pulling on the wires!
- Step 7
- Using a 5mm allen wrench, unscrew the 2 Allen bolts and remove the control module (Figure 8).
DISPOSAL: Your controller must be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. Do not dispose of controller in your regular household trash. Return controller to a federal or state approved recycler.
Step 8
- Install the new control module by attaching it to the frame using the 2 Allen bolts.
- Re-connect the (5) plastic connectors.
- *Note: Check that all connectors are securely attached, especially to the power switch as it is possible connector(s) may become detached when lifting up the plastic body.
- Re-attach the battery cover.
- Lower the plastic body back down over the main frame and re-fasten the 2 bolts to the to the rear fender.
- Re-fasten the 4 bolts on both of the footrest platforms.
- Re-attach the handlebars.
- Lift Dirt Quad up and re-fasten the bolts to the battery cover and support bracket.
- Carefully lower Dirt Quad back down; installation complete.
