Product Information

The Drywall Frame Kit is a versatile product designed for installing fixtures in drywall ceilings. It comes with various panel sizes to accommodate different opening sizes. The frame dimensions and cutout sizes are provided in the manual for reference. The kit includes corner brackets and requires additional screws or nails for secure installation. The product is manufactured by Brightline and comes with a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Assemble the drywall frame kit using the provided corner brackets.
  2. Refer to the chart on the following page to determine the appropriate opening size for your specific panel.
  3. Ensure that the opening size does not exceed the specified limit by more than 1/8 inch.
  4. Frame out the ceiling opening according to the dimensions provided.
  5. Connect the wiring below the drywall before installing the fixture in the ceiling. If necessary, make electrical power connections prior to installing the fixture.
  6. Place the fixture on top of the framing and install the drywall frame kit.
  7. Securely screw or nail the frame into the side framing members, ensuring it can support the weight of the installed fixture and frame kit. Refer to the fixture’s datasheet for weight information.
  8. Use wood shims to eliminate any slop or movement in the installation.

Note: The Drywall Frame Kit is available in different nominal sizes, including 6-in x 4-ft, 6-in x 2-ft, 1-ft x 2-ft, and 2-ft x 2-ft. Refer to the specifications for further details and measurements.

  1. Assemble the drywall frame kit with corner brackets.
  2. Opening Size: See chart on following page. (Do not exceed opening size by more than 1/8-in.)

  1. Frame out ceiling opening.
  2. Connect wiring below drywall. Install fixture in ceiling and set on top of framing.
    • * Note: electrical power connections must be made prior to installing the fixture unless the fixture top will remain accessible. 
  3. Install drywall frame kit.
    • Screw (supplied by others) or nail (supplied by others) frame securely into side framing members. This must be sufficient to support the combined weight of installed fixture and frame kit.
    • Note: Refer to datasheet of the fixture for weight.
  4. Use wood shims to remove any slop.
  5. Lower fixture into drywall frame kit.

Drywall Frame Kit Nominal Sizes

WARRANTY

Brightline guarantees all its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment.

PROCEDURES
If any product is found to be unsatisfactory under this warranty, the buyer must notify Brightline immediately. Once a course of action has been determined, if it is necessary to return the product to Brightline, a Return Authorization (RA) will be issued. Ship the product directly to Brightline, 580 Mayer Street, Building #7, Bridgeville, PA 15017 USA. The RA number should be marked on the shipping carton. The unit will be replaced or put into proper operating condition, free of all charges. The correction of any defects through repair or replacement by Brightline shall constitute fulfillment of all obligations and liability of Brightline to the buyer under this warranty and the contract of sale.

DISCLAIMERS

  • Brightline is not responsible for damage to its products caused by improper installation, maintenance, or use, by improper electrical hookups, or by unauthorized repairs.

  • Failure to notify Brightline of unsatisfactory operation or any improper or unauthorized installation, maintenance, use, repairs, or adjustments shall terminate the warranty and Brightline shall have no further responsibility under the warranty.

  • Brightline shall not be liable for special or consequential damages in any claim, action, suit, or proceeding arising under this warranty or contract of sale, nor shall Brightline be liable for
    claims for labor, loss of profits or goodwill, repairs, or other expenses incidental to replacement. Brightline makes no other warranty of any kind whatsoever, expressed, or implied, and all
    implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose that exceed the obligation specifically described in this warranty are hereby disclaimed by Brightline and excluded from this agreement.

  • All shipments, unless otherwise noted, are F.O.B. factory.

  • The customer is advised to inspect for shipping damage, apparent and/or hidden. If detected, notify the transportation company and file your claim.
