Thank you very much for having purchased Panasonic Ventilating Fan.
Please read these instructions carefully before attempting to install, operate or service the Panasonic Ventilating Fan. Failure to comply with instructions could result in personal injury and/or property damage. Please retain this booklet for future reference.

INSTALLATION CAUTIONS

  • Disconnect power supply before maintenance.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by a person responsible for the safety. Children should be supervised to ensure thatthey do not play with the product.
  1. This fan is designed for industrial use, it can be used in factories, warehouses, shops, commercial kitchens and other places where large air change is necessary.

  2. Do not install this fan in a place where there is explosive gas or corrosive gas.

  3. Do not install this fan in a place there is a great amount of humidity (such as the bathroom, kitchen, etc.).

  4. After installation, remove the drain caps on the bottom side.

  5. Use the equipment at the rated voltage and frequency indicated in the name plate.

  6. Do not install the ventilating fan outside of the window or the wall.

  7. This fan should be installed so that the blades are more than 2.3m above the floor.
    Malaysia market:This fan should be installed so that the blades are more than 2.5m above the floor.

  8. For this fan,precautions must be taken to avoid the back-flow of gases into the room from the open-flue of gas or other fuel-burning appliances.

  9. The product must not be mounted on a wall not strong enough.If it cannot be ensured that the wall will bear the weight of the mounted product, that wall must be reinforced.

  10. The special-purpose or dedicated parts, such as mounting fixtures, must be used if such parts are provided.

  11. This fan must be installed by a qualified technician. Otherwise, it is possible to drop down.

  12. Installation procedures must be carried out properly according to the instructions.

  13. Do not disassemble the unit for reconstruction.

  14. A statement to the effect that when the product is to no longer be used, it must not be left in place but removed, to prevent it from possibly falling.

HOW TO INSTALL

During installation and carrying work, take special care not to deform the blade. If the blade is deformed, troubles such as unbalance or vibration may occur.

  • The fan can be used facing to the side or up and be sure to remove the drain cap which is installed at the bottom.

  • Use the switch that complies with IEC 60335 and have qualified personal connect install the switch in the manner describet in this manual.

  • Must be installed in a fixed wiring with an all pole disconnections switch which the contact separation is more than 3 mm.

HOW TO REVERSE AIR FLOW

  1. Loosen the blade setscrew to remove the blade.
  2. Remove the wiring cover setscrew and exchange the yellow and red wires according to the wiring diagram.
  3. Mount the blade in reverse position, and completely secure it in the air intake blade position.

  1. Loosen the blade setscrew to remove the blade.
  2. Remove the two (2) wiring box setscrews and exchange the yellow and red wires according to the wiring diagram. After exchanging, re-install the wiring box in its original position.
  3. Mount the blade in reverse position, and completely secure it in the air intake blade position.

MAINTENANCE CAUTIONS

  1. Before beginning any maintenance, be sure to disconnect the power cord from the power supply.
  2. Never use petrol, benzene, thinner or any other such chemicals for cleaning the ventilating fan.
