Product Information
The Dune Buggy Throttle is a component used in the operation of the Dune Buggy product. It is responsible for controlling the speed and acceleration of the vehicle. The throttle is connected to the control module and allows the user to adjust the speed by manipulating the throttle mechanism.
Product Usage Instructions
Before proceeding with the installation, ensure that the power switch is turned OFF and the charger is disconnected to avoid any potential shock or injury. Follow the steps below to install the Dune Buggy Throttle:
- Step 1: Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the four Phillips screws at the back of the battery cover at the rear of the product.
- Step 2: Using a 4mm Allen wrench, remove two 4mm hex bolts on the right side of the battery cover.
- Step 3: Remove two 4mm hex bolts on the left side of the battery cover and one Phillips screw located on the middle left side of the battery cover.
- Step 4: Carefully cut the zip tie holding the wires together and remove the cable wrap. Starting from the steering wheel, follow the throttle wire and disconnect it from the control module by depressing the tab.
- Step 5: Using a 2.5mm Allen wrench, loosen the set screw located under the light indicator on the throttle and remove the throttle from the steering wheel.
- Step 6: Using a 5mm Allen wrench, remove the two hex bolts that hold the bottom of the seat to the frame. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws located at the back of the seat and remove the seat.
- Step 7: Using a flat head screwdriver, remove the clips that hold the cables on the underside of your Dune Buggy.
- Step 8: Gently pull the throttle cable up through the opening on the deck. Attach the replacement throttle to the steering wheel and re-thread the wire through the opening in the deck. Reconnect the white plastic connector for the new throttle to that of the control module. Secure the cable using the same clips removed in step 7.
- Step 9: Reverse steps: Replace the battery cover and seat. Re-fasten the screws that hold the battery cover and seat in place.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Tools Required: (Not included)
- A. Phillips head screwdriver
- B. 2.5mm Allen wrench
- C. 4mm Allen wrench
- D. 5mm Allen wrench
- E. Flat head screwdriver
CAUTION: To avoid potential shock or other injury, turn power switch OFF and disconnect charger before attempting these procedures. Failure to follow these steps in the correct order may cause irreparable damage.

Step 1 Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the four Phillips screws at the back of the battery cover at the rear of the product.

Step 2 Using a 4mm Allen wrench, remove two 4mm hex bolts on the right side of the battery cover.

Step 3 Remove two 4mm hex bolts on the left side of the battery cover and one Phillips screw located on the middle left side of the battery cover.

Step 4 C arefully cut the zip tie holding the wires together and remove the cable wrap. Note: Save the cable wrap for reassembly. Starting from the steering wheel, follow the throttle wire and disconnect it from control module by depressing the tab.

Step 5 Using a 2.5mm Allen wrench loosen the set screw located under the light indicator on the throttle and remove throttle from steering wheel.

Step 6 Using a 5mm Allen wrench, remove the two hex bolts that hold the bottom of the seat to the frame. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws located at the back of the seat and remove seat.

Step 7 Using a flat head screwdriver, remove the clips that hold the cables on the underside of your Dune Buggy.

Step 8 Gently pull the throttle cable up through the opening on the deck. Attach the replacement thottle to the steering wheel and re-thread the wire through the opening in the deck. Reconnect the white plastic connector for the new throttle to that of the control module. Secure cable using the same clips removed in step 7.

Reverse steps: -
Replace the battery cover and seat.

Re-fasten the screws that hold the battery cover and seat in place.
ATTENTION: Charge unit at least 18 hours before riding.
