DELL U3824DW UltraSharp 38 Curved USB-C Hub Monitor
Product Information
The Dell U3824DW Monitor is equipped with both volatile and non-volatile components. Volatile components lose their data immediately after power is removed, while non-volatile components retain their data even after power loss. The following non-volatile components are present on the U3824DW monitor system board:
Description | Reference Designator | Volatility Description | Remedial Action |
---|---|---|---|
System EEPROM | U22 | Non-Volatile memory, 256 Kbit | No action necessary to |
erase data
HDMI EDID EEPROM| U10; U5| Non-Volatile memory, 2 Kbit| N/A
System Flash| PD Controller Flash| Non-Volatile memory, 64 Mbit| N/A
USB HUB Flash| U312| Non-Volatile memory, 8 Mbit| N/A
Other components on the system board lose data if power is removed. Primary
power loss (unplugging the power cord and removing the battery) destroys all
user data on the memory (DDR4, 2667 MHz). Secondary power loss (removing the
on-board coin-cell battery) destroys system data related to configuration and
time-of-day information.
It is important to exercise caution when handling the monitor to avoid
potential damage to hardware or loss of data.
Product Usage Instructions
To use the Dell U3824DW Monitor, follow these instructions:

Statement of Volatility
CAUTION:
A CAUTION indicates either potential damage to hardware or loss of data and
tells you how to avoid the problem.
The Dell U3824DW Monitor contains both volatile and non-volatile components.
Volatile components lose their data immediately after power is removed from
the component. Non-volatile components continue to retain their data even
after power is removed from the component. The following Non-volatile
components are present on the U3824DW monitor system board.
