Product Usage Instructions

  1. Safety Notes: It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations regarding electrical connections and contact protection. The installation should include a protection guard or sufficient length of ducting to prevent electrical shock or injury to persons. It is important to lock the service disconnecting means to prevent accidental power switch-on. A warning device, such as a tag, should be securely fastened to the service panel.
  2. Mounting: The fan should be installed by a qualified person(s) by applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction. Care should be taken to avoid damage to electrical wiring and other hidden utilities. Once fastened, ensure that the ducting system is not deformed or twisted to prevent noise carry-over. The fan blade should be positioned at least 7 feet (2.10 m) above the floor.
  3. Operating Conditions: The fan is suitable for general ventilating use only and should not be used to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials and vapors. It is not compatible with solid-state speed controls. The operating conditions should be within the specifications mentioned on the nameplate.
  4. Maintenance: The fan is maintenance-free. However, it is recommended to install an air filter to prevent dust and debris accumulation on the impeller and housing, which can lead to lower performance, unbalance, and reduced lifespan. Cleaning should be done using a soft cloth or mild detergent. Avoid cleaning with water or high-pressure cleaners as it may cause damage to the fan. Regular maintenance and cleaning can significantly extend the lifespan of the fan.

Safety Notes

  • ruck tube fans are not finished machines, but part of a system. Thus, the systems installer carries the responsibility that all relevant safety regulations regarding electrical connections and contact protection are complied to.
