Product Information

This device is a MikroTik RB5009UPr+S+OUT. It needs to be upgraded to v7.7 or the latest software version to ensure compliance with local authority regulations. It is the end users’ responsibility to follow local country regulations. All MikroTik devices must be professionally installed.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Connect the device to your ISP using an Ethernet cable.
  2. Connect your computer to the device using an Ethernet cable.
  3. Open the WinBox application and enter the IP address 192.168.88.1 in the address field.
  4.  Enter the username “admin” and leave the password field blank (unless changed).
  5.  Once logged in, you can configure the device using the WinBox or WebFig interfaces.|

First steps

  • Make sure your ISP is allowing hardware change and will automatically issue an IP address.
  • Connect your ISP cable to the first Ethernet port.
  • Connect your PC to any of the Ethernet ports.
  • Connect the device to the power source.
  • Use a Web browser or Win Box to connect to the default IP address of 192.168.88.1 from any port, with the username admin and no password (or, for some models, check user and wireless passwords on the sticker).
  • If IP is not available, download Win Box from our webpage and use it to connect through MAC address.
  • Update RouterOS software to the latest version, and make sure that the device has an internet connection.
  • If the device does not have an internet connection update software by downloading the latest version from our webpage https://mikrotik.com/download Find the latest software and choose your packages.
  • To get the architecture type of your device model, open Win Box, Web Fig go to (System/Resources).
  • Download packages to the PC and upload them to the Win Box, Web Fig, (Files) menu, and reboot the device.
  • Set up your password to secure the device.

  • When powering the device using a DC power adapter, the length of the DC cable shall not exceed 3 meters.
  • We cannot guarantee that no accidents or damage will occur due to the improper use of the device. Please use this product with care and operate at your own risk!
  • In the case of device failure, please disconnect it from power. The fastest way to do so is by unplugging the power adapter from the power outlet.
  • This is a Class A product. In a domestic environment, this product might cause radio interference in which case the user might be required to take adequate measures.
